1 וַיֹּ֣סֶף אִ֭יּוֹב [3] Dechi
שְׂאֵ֥ת מְשָׁל֗וֹ [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 1 And Job again [3]
took up his discourse, [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 מִֽי־יִתְּנֵ֥נִי כְיַרְחֵי־קֶ֑דֶם [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֝ימֵ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֱל֣וֹהַּ יִשְׁמְרֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 “Oh that I were as in the months of old; [2]
 
as in the days [2]
when God watched over me, [1]
3 בְּהִלּ֣וֹ נֵ֭רוֹ [3] Dechi
עֲלֵ֣י רֹאשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
לְ֝אוֹר֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֵ֣לֶךְ חֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 when he made his lamp shine [3]
over my head; [2]
 
by his light [2]
I walked (through) darkness, [1]
4 כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר הָ֭יִיתִי [3] Dechi
בִּימֵ֣י חׇרְפִּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
בְּס֥וֹד אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֲלֵ֣י אׇהֳלִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 just as I was [3]
in the days of my prime; [2]
 
in the friendship of God [2]
on my tent, [1]
5 בְּע֣וֹד שַׁ֭דַּי [3] Dechi
עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
סְבִ֖יבוֹתַ֣י [2] VRevMug
נְעָרָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 when still the Almighty [3]
was with me; [2]
 
around me [2]
were my children, [1]
6 בִּרְחֹ֣ץ הֲלִיכַ֣י [3] VDechi
בְּחֵמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְצ֥וּר יָצ֥וּק עִ֝מָּדִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פַּלְגֵי־שָֽׁמֶן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 when my steps were bathed [3]
in curds; [2]
 
and a rock poured out beside me [2]
streams of oil, [1]
7 בְּצֵ֣אתִי שַׁ֣עַר [3] VDechi
עֲלֵי־קָ֑רֶת [2] Etnachta
 
בָּ֝רְח֗וֹב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָכִ֥ין מוֹשָׁבִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 when I went out to the gate [3]
of the city; [2]
 
in the public square [2]
I prepared my seat. [1]
8 רָא֣וּנִי נְעָרִ֣ים [3] VDechi
וְנֶחְבָּ֑אוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וִ֝ישִׁישִׁ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
קָ֣מוּ עָמָֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 The young men saw me [3]
and they hid themselves; [2]
 
and the aged [2]
they rose up and stood. [1]
9 שָׂ֭רִים [3] Dechi
עָצְר֣וּ בְמִלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝כַ֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָשִׂ֥ימוּ לְפִיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 The leaders, [3]
they refrained from talking; [2]
 
and a hand [2]
they put to their mouth. [1]
10 קוֹל־נְגִידִ֥ים נֶחְבָּ֑אוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝לְשׁוֹנָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְחִכָּ֥ם דָּבֵֽקָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 10 The voice of the nobles was hushed; [2]
 
and their tongue [2]
stuck to the roof of their mouth. [1]
11 כִּ֤י אֹ֣זֶן שָׁ֭מְעָה [3] Dechi
וַֽתְּאַשְּׁרֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַ֥יִן רָ֝אֲתָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַתְּעִידֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 For when an ear heard, [3]
it called me blessed; [2]
 
and an eye saw, [2]
and it commended me. [1]
12 כִּֽי־אֲ֭מַלֵּט [3] Dechi
עָנִ֣י מְשַׁוֵּ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יָת֗וֹם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְֽלֹא־עֹזֵ֥ר לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 For I rescued [3]
the afflicted who cried for help; [2]
 
and the fatherless [2]
and the one who had no one to help, [1]
13 בִּרְכַּ֣ת אֹ֭בֵד [3] Dechi
עָלַ֣י תָּבֹ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֵ֖ב אַלְמָנָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
אַרְנִֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 the blessing of one about to perish, [3]
it came on me; [2]
 
and the heart of a widow [2]
I caused to sing for joy. [1]
14 צֶ֣דֶק לָ֭בַשְׁתִּי [3] Dechi
וַיִּלְבָּשֵׁ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
כִּמְעִ֥יל וְ֝צָנִ֗יף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׁפָּטִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 I put on righteousness, [3]
and it clothed me; [2]
 
like a robe and a turban [2]
was my justice. [1]
15 עֵינַ֣יִם הָ֭יִיתִי [3] Dechi
לַעִוֵּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְרַגְלַ֖יִם לַפִּסֵּ֣חַ [2] VRevMug
אָֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 Eyes I was [3]
to the blind; [2]
 
and feet to the lame [2]
I was. [1]
16 אָ֣ב אָ֭נֹכִ֥י [3] Dechi
לָאֶבְיוֹנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְרִ֖ב לֹא־יָדַ֣עְתִּי [2] VRevMug
אֶחְקְרֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 A father I was [3]
to the needy; [2]
 
and the cause of one whom I didn’t know, [2]
I investigated it. [1]
17 וָ֭אֲשַׁבְּרָה [3] Dechi
מְתַלְּע֣וֹת עַוָּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מִשִּׁנָּ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַשְׁלִ֥יךְ טָֽרֶף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 And I broke [3]
the fangs of the unjust; [2]
 
and from his teeth [2]
I threw the prey. [1]
18 וָ֭אֹמַר [3] Dechi
עִם־קִנִּ֣י אֶגְוָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝כַח֗וֹל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַרְבֶּ֥ה יָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 And I said, [3]
‘With my nest I will die; [2]
 
and like the sand [2]
I will increase my days. [1]
19 שׇׁרְשִׁ֣י פָת֣וּחַ [3] VDechi
אֱלֵי־מָ֑יִם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝טַ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָלִ֥ין בִּקְצִירִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 My root is spread out [3]
to the waters; [2]
 
and dew, [2]
it lies all night on my branch. [1]
20 כְּ֭בוֹדִי [3] Dechi
חָדָ֣שׁ עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝קַשְׁתִּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּיָדִ֥י תַחֲלִֽיף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 My honor [3]
is new with me; [2]
 
and my bow [2]
in my hand is renewed.’ [1]
21 לִֽי־שָׁמְע֥וּ וְיִחֵ֑לּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יִדְּמ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְמ֣וֹ עֲצָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 21 “People listened to me and they waited; [2]
 
and they kept silence [2]
for my counsel. [1]
22 אַחֲרֵ֣י דְ֭בָרִי [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יִשְׁנ֑וּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עָלֵ֗ימוֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּטֹּ֥ף מִלָּתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 After my word [3]
they didn’t (speak) again; [2]
 
and on them [2]
my speech fell. [1]
23 וְיִחֲל֣וּ כַמָּטָ֣ר [3] VDechi
לִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝פִיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פָּעֲר֥וּ לְמַלְקֽוֹשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 And they waited as for the rain [3]
for me; [2]
 
and their mouth [2]
they opened wide for spring rain. [1]
24 אֶשְׂחַ֣ק אֲ֭לֵהֶם [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֑ינוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְא֥וֹר פָּ֝נַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יַפִּילֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 I smiled on them [3]
when they had no confidence; [2]
 
and the light of my face [2]
they didn’t reject. [1]
25 אֶ֥בְחַ֣ר דַּרְכָּם֮ [3] Sinnor
וְאֵשֵׁ֢ב רֹ֥֫אשׁ [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְ֭אֶשְׁכּוֹן [3] Dechi
כְּמֶ֣לֶךְ בַּגְּד֑וּד [2] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר אֲבֵלִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יְנַחֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 25 I chose their way, [3]
and I sat as chief; [2]
 
and I dwelt [3]
as a king among the troops, [2]
 
just as mourners [2]
are comforted. [1]
