לָ֝שִׁ֗ית [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עִם־כַּלְבֵ֥י צֹאנִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 2 1 “But now [4]
they mock me, [3]

those younger than me [3]

whose fathers I considered unworthy [2]
to put [2]
with my sheep dogs. [1]
2 גַּם־כֹּ֣חַ יְ֭דֵיהֶם [3] Dechi
לָ֣מָּה לִּ֑י [2] Etnachta

עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָ֣בַד כָּֽלַח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Indeed the strength of their hands, [3]
of what use to me; [2]

since from them [2]
vigor had perished? [1]

גַּ֫לְמ֥וּד [2] Ole Veyored

הַעֹרְקִ֥ים צִיָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta

2 3 2 4 who pluck salt herbs [3]
in the bushes; [2]

יָרִ֥יעוּ עָ֝לֵ֗ימוֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּגַּנָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 5 From among men they are driven away; [2]

they shout after them [2]
as after a thief, [1]
6 בַּעֲר֣וּץ נְחָלִ֣ים [3] VDechi
לִשְׁכֹּ֑ן [2] Etnachta

חֹרֵ֖י עָפָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
וְכֵפִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 on the slope of valleys [3]
to dwell; [2]

in holes of the earth [2]
and the rocks. [1]
7 בֵּין־שִׂיחִ֥ים יִנְהָ֑קוּ [2] Etnachta

תַּ֖חַת חָר֣וּל [2] VRevMug

2 2 7 Among the bushes they brayed; [2]

under nettles [2]
they huddled together. [1]
8 בְּֽנֵי־נָ֭בָל [3] Dechi
גַּם־בְּנֵ֣י בְלִי־שֵׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta

נִ֝כְּא֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Sons of folly, [3]
and sons of no name; [2]

they were driven out [2]
from the land. [1]
9 וְ֭עַתָּה [3] Dechi
נְגִינָתָ֣ם הָיִ֑יתִי [2] Etnachta

וָאֱהִ֖י לָהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לְמִלָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 And now [3]
their taunt song I have become; [2]

and I have become for them [2]
a byword. [1]
10 תִּ֭עֲבוּנִי [3] Dechi
רָ֣חֲקוּ מֶ֑נִּי [2] Etnachta

וּ֝מִפָּנַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־חָ֥שְׂכוּ רֹֽק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 They abhor me, [3]
they stand aloof from me; [2]

and in my face [2]
they don’t hesitate to spit. [1]
11 כִּֽי־*יתרו **יִתְרִ֣י פִ֭תַּח [3] Dechi
וַיְעַנֵּ֑נִי [2] Etnachta

וְ֝רֶ֗סֶן [2] Revi'i Mugrash

2 3 2 11 For my bowstring he has loosened [3]
and he has afflicted me; [2]

and restraint [2]
in my presence they have thrown off. [1]
12 עַל־יָמִין֮ [3] Sinnor
פִּרְחַ֢ח יָ֫ק֥וּמוּ [2] Ole Veyored

רַגְלַ֥י שִׁלֵּ֑חוּ [2] Etnachta
וַיָּסֹ֥לּוּ עָ֝לַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אׇרְח֥וֹת אֵידָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 12 On my right [3]
the rabble rise up; [2]

my feet they thrust aside, [2]
and they cast up against me [2]
their ways of destruction. [1]
13 נָֽתְס֗וּ [3] Revi'i
נְֽתִיבָ֫תִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored

לְהַוָּתִ֥י יֹעִ֑ילוּ [2] Etnachta
לֹ֖א עֹזֵ֣ר [2] VRevMug

2 3 2 2 13 They break up [3]
my path; [2]

by my destruction they benefit, [2]
no helper [2]
have they. [1]
14 כְּפֶ֣רֶץ רָחָ֣ב [3] VDechi
יֶאֱתָ֑יוּ [2] Etnachta

תַּ֥חַת שֹׁ֝אָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הִתְגַּלְגָּֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 As through a wide breach [3]
they come; [2]

amid the devastation [2]
they have rolled themselves. [1]
15 הׇהְפַּ֥ךְ עָלַ֗י [3] Revi'i
בַּלָּ֫ה֥וֹת [2] Ole Veyored

תִּרְדֹּ֣ף כָּ֭רוּחַ [3] Dechi
נְדִבָתִ֑י [2] Etnachta

וּ֝כְעָ֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עָבְרָ֥ה יְשֻׁעָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 15 It has been turned on me [3]
sudden terror; [2]

it pursues like the wind [3]
my dignity, [2]

and like a cloud [2]
my prosperity has passed away. [1]
16 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
עָ֭לַי [3] Dechi
תִּשְׁתַּפֵּ֣ךְ נַפְשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta

יֹ֖אחֲז֣וּנִי [2] VRevMug
יְמֵי־עֹֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 16 And now [3]
within me [3]
my soul is poured out; [2]

they have taken hold of me, [2]
days of affliction. [1]
17 לַ֗יְלָה [3] Revi'i
עֲ֭צָמַי [3] Dechi
נִקַּ֣ר מֵעָלָ֑י [2] Etnachta

וְ֝עֹרְקַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יִשְׁכָּבֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 17 Night [3]
my bones, [3]
it has pierced within me; [2]

and my gnawing pains [2]
take no rest. [1]
18 בְּרׇב־כֹּ֭חַ [3] Dechi
יִתְחַפֵּ֣שׂ לְבוּשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta

כְּפִ֖י כֻתׇּנְתִּ֣י [2] VRevMug
יַאַזְרֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 By great force [3]
my garment is disfigured; [2]

like the collar of my tunic [2]
it girds me about. [1]
19 הֹרָ֥נִי לַחֹ֑מֶר [2] Etnachta

וָ֝אֶתְמַשֵּׁ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כֶּעָפָ֥ר וָאֵֽפֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 19 He has cast me into the mud; [2]

and I have become [2]
like dust and ashes. [1]
20 אֲשַׁוַּ֣ע אֵ֭לֶיךָ [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א תַֽעֲנֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta

עָ֝מַ֗דְתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַתִּתְבֹּ֥נֶן בִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 I cry out to you for help, [3]
but you do not answer me; [2]

I stand up, [2]
but you only look at me. [1]
21 תֵּהָפֵ֣ךְ לְאַכְזָ֣ר [3] VDechi
לִ֑י [2] Etnachta

בְּעֹ֖צֶם יָדְךָ֣ [2] VRevMug
תִשְׂטְמֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 You have become cruel [3]
to me; [2]

with the might of your hand [2]
you attack me. [1]
22 תִּשָּׂאֵ֣נִי אֶל־ר֭וּחַ [3] Dechi
תַּרְכִּיבֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta

וּ֝תְמֹגְגֵ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
*תשוה **תּוּשִׁיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 You lift me up on the wind, [3]
you make me ride on it; [2]

and you toss me about [2]
in the storm. [1]
23 כִּֽי־יָ֭דַעְתִּי [3] Dechi
מָ֣וֶת תְּשִׁיבֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta

וּבֵ֖ית מוֹעֵ֣ד [2] VRevMug
לְכׇל־חָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 For I know [3]
that you will bring me to death; [2]

and to the house appointed [2]
for all the living. [1]
24 אַ֣ךְ לֹֽא־בְ֭עִי [3] Dechi
יִשְׁלַח־יָ֑ד [2] Etnachta

אִם־בְּ֝פִיד֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָהֶ֥ן שֽׁוּעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 Yet does not one in a heap of ruins [3]
stretch out a hand; [2]

and in his distress [2]
therefore cry for help? [1]
25 אִם־לֹ֣א בָ֭כִיתִי [3] Dechi
לִקְשֵׁה־י֑וֹם [2] Etnachta

עָֽגְמָ֥ה נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָאֶבְיֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 Did I not weep [3]
for him whose day was hard? [2]

Was not my soul grieved [2]
for the needy? [1]
26 כִּ֤י ט֣וֹב קִ֭וִּיתִי [3] Dechi
וַיָּ֣בֹא רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta

וַאֲיַחֲלָ֥ה לְ֝א֗וֹר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיָּ֥בֹא אֹֽפֶל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 When I looked for good, [3]
then evil came; [2]

when I waited for light, [2]
then darkness came. [1]
27 מֵעַ֖י רֻתְּח֥וּ וְלֹא־דָ֗מּוּ [3/2] Revi'i
קִדְּמֻ֥נִי יְמֵי־עֹֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 27 My inward parts are in turmoil and are never still, [3/2]
days of affliction have confronted me. [1]
28 קֹדֵ֣ר הִ֭לַּכְתִּי [3] Dechi
בְּלֹ֣א חַמָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta

קַ֖מְתִּי בַקָּהָ֣ל [2] VRevMug
אֲשַׁוֵּֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 I go about blackened [3]
but not by the sun; [2]

I stand up in the assembly, [2]
I cry out for help. [1]
29 אָ֭ח [3] Dechi
הָיִ֣יתִי לְתַנִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta

וְ֝רֵ֗עַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִבְנ֥וֹת יַעֲנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 A brother [3]
I have become to jackals; [2]

and a companion [2]
to daughters of the ostrich. [1]
30 ע֭וֹרִי [3] Dechi
שָׁחַ֣ר מֵעָלָ֑י [2] Etnachta

וְעַצְמִי־חָ֝֗רָה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִנִּי־חֹֽרֶב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 My skin, [3]
it turns black and falls from me; [2]

and my bones burn [2]
with heat. [1]
31 וַיְהִ֣י לְ֭אֵבֶל [3] Dechi
כִּנֹּרִ֑י [2] Etnachta

וְ֝עֻגָבִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְק֣וֹל בֹּכִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 So it has turned to mourning, [3]
my harp; [2]

and my flute [2]
to the sound of those who weep. [1]
