איוב 31 | Job 31 | |||
[1] Silluq |
1 A covenant [3] I made with my eyes; [2] at a young woman? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 For what [4] is the portion of God [3] from above; [2] from on high? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 Does not calamity belong to the unrighteous; [2] to the workers of iniquity? [1] |
[2] Etnachta |
4 He, [3] does he (not) see my ways; [2] |
[1] Silluq |
5 If I have walked in falsehood; [2] my foot, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
6 then let him weigh me in righteous balances; [2] my integrity. [1] |
7 If my step has turned aside [3] from the way; [2] my heart has gone, [2] a defilement has stuck, [1] |
[2] Etnachta |
8 then let me sow [3] and let another eat; [2] |
[1] Silluq |
9 If my heart has been enticed [3] by a woman; [2] I have laid in wait, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
10 then let her grind for another, [3] my wife; [2] let others sleep, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 for that is wickedness; [2] is iniquity to be judged, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
12 for a fire that is, [3] which will devour to destruction; [2] it will root up. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 If I have rejected [3] the cause of my male servant [3] or my female servant; [2] with me, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 then what will I do [3] when God rises up; [2] what will I answer him? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 In the womb [3] did (not) the one who made me, make him; [2] in the womb, the same one? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
16 If I have withheld [3] from (their) desires, the poor; [2] I have caused to fail, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 or I have eaten my morsel, [3] I alone; [2] some of it - [1] |
[1] Silluq |
18 for from my youth [3] I raised him like a father; [2] I have guided her, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
19 if I have seen anyone perishing [3] for lack of clothing; [2] for the needy, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 if it has (not) blessed me [3] his heart; [2] he has (not) warmed himself, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
21 if I have lifted up against the fatherless [3] my hand; [2] would favor me, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 then my shoulder [3] from its shoulder blade let it fall; [2] from its bone let it be broken. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
23 For a terror to me [3] is the calamity of God; [2] I can do nothing. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
24 If I have made gold [3] my confidence; [2] I have said, ‘My object of confidence,’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
25 if I rejoiced [3] because my wealth was great; [2] my hand had found, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
26 if I saw the sun [3] when it shined; [2] moving in splendor, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
27 and it was secretly enticed, [3] my heart; [2] my mouth, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
28 that too [3] is iniquity calling for judgement; [2] above. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
29 If I have rejoiced [3] in the ruin of one who hated me; [2] when calamity had found him - [1] |
[1] Silluq |
30 I have not allowed to sin, [3] my mouth; [2] his life. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
31 If they have not said, [3] the men of my tent, [2] and has not been satisfied?’ - [1] |
[1] Silluq |
32 In the street [3] a stranger has not passed the night; [2] to the traveler I have opened. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
33 If like Adam I have covered [3] my transgressions; [2] my iniquity, [1] |
34 because I feared [4] a great multitude, [3] and the contempt of clans terrified me; [2] and didn’t go outside the door - [1] |
35 Oh that I had [4] one to hear me! [3] let the Almighty answer me! [2] my accuser! [1] |
[1] Silluq |
36 Surely on my shoulder [3] I would carry it; [2] to myself. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
37 An account of my steps [3] I would give him; [2] I would approach him. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
38 If against me [3] my land cries out; [2] its furrows weep, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
39 if its fruits [3] I have eaten without money; [2] I have snuffed out, [1] |
