איוב 36 | Job 36 | |||
[1] Silluq |
1 And Elihu continued [3/2] and he said, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 “Bear with me a little [3] and I will show you; [2] are words. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 I will bring my knowledge [3] from afar; [2] I will ascribe righteousness. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 For truly [3] my words are not false; [2] is with you. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 “Behold God is mighty [3] but he despises no one; [2] in strength of understanding. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
6 He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked; [2] he gives. [1] |
7 לֹֽא־יִגְרַ֥ע מִצַּדִּ֗יק [3] Revi'i עֵ֫ינָ֥יו [2] Ole Veyored וַיֹּשִׁיבֵ֥ם לָ֝נֶ֗צַח [2] Revi'i Mugrash וַיִּגְבָּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
7 He doesn’t withdraw from the righteous [3] his eyes; [2] he sets them forever [2] and they are exalted. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
8 But if they are bound in chains; [2] in cords of affliction, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
9 then he shows them [3] their work; [2] that they have behaved arrogantly. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
10 And he opens their ear [3] to instruction; [2] that they turn away from evil. [1] |
11 אִֽם־יִשְׁמְע֗וּ [3] Revi'i וְֽיַ֫עֲבֹ֥דוּ [2] Ole Veyored בַּטּ֑וֹב [2] Etnachta בַּנְּעִימִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
11 If they listen [3] and they serve him; [2] in prosperity, [2] in happiness. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
12 But if they don’t listen, [3] by the sword they will perish; [2] without knowledge. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 “But the godless of heart, [3] they harbor anger; [2] when he binds them. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 It dies in youth, [3] their soul; [2] among the unclean. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
15 He delivers the afflicted [3] by their affliction; [2] their ear. [1] |
16 And indeed he draws you [4] from the mouth of distress [3] without constraint; [2] full of rich food. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 “But you are full of the judgment of the wicked; [2] they take hold of you. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
18 For wrath, [3] don’t let it entice you into scoffing; [2] don't let it turn you aside. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
19 Will your wealth keep you [3] out of distress; [2] the force of strength? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 Do not long for the night; [2] from their places. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
21 Take heed, [3] do not turn to wickedness; [2] you have chosen over affliction. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 Behold God, [3] he is exalted in his power; [2] a teacher? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
23 Who has appointed for him [3] his way; [2] ‘You have done wrong?’ [1] |
[1] Silluq |
24 “Remember [3] to magnify his work; [2] people. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
25 All mankind have looked on it; [2] he beholds it from afar. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
26 Behold, God is exalted, [3] beyond our knowledge; [2] is unsearchable. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
27 For [3] he draws up drops of water; [2] into its mist, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
28 which the skies pour down; [2] on [4/2] mankind abundantly. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
29 And who can understand [3] the spreading of the clouds; [2] of his pavilion? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
30 Behold he scatters about him [3] his lightning; [2] he covers. [1] |
[2] Etnachta |
31 For by these [3] he judges peoples; [2] |
[1] Silluq |
32 He covers his hands with the lightning; [2] to strike the mark. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
33 It declares his presence, [3] his thunder; [2] also about what is coming. [1] |
