וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 And Elihu answered [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 הֲ֭זֹאת [3] Dechi
חָשַׁ֣בְתָּ לְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta

אָ֝מַ֗רְתָּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צִדְקִ֥י מֵאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “This [3]
do you consider rightly? [2]

You say, [2]
‘My righteousness is more than God’s.’ [1]
3 כִּֽי־תֹ֭אמַר [3] Dechi
מַה־יִּסְכׇּן־לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta

מָה־אֹ֝עִ֗יל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵחַטָּאתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 For you say [3]
what advantage is it to you; [2]

‘What will I profit [2]
more than if I had sinned?’ [1]
4 אֲ֭נִי [3] Dechi
אֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֣ מִלִּ֑ין [2] Etnachta

וְֽאֶת־רֵעֶ֥יךָ עִמָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 I, [3]
I will answer your words; [2]

and your friends with you. [1]
5 הַבֵּ֣ט שָׁמַ֣יִם [3] VDechi
וּרְאֵ֑ה [2] Etnachta

וְשׁ֥וּר שְׁ֝חָקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
גָּבְה֥וּ מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Look at the heavens [3]
and see; [2]

and notice the clouds, [2]
that they are higher than you. [1]
6 אִם־חָ֭טָאתָ [3] Dechi
מַה־תִּפְעׇל־בּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

וְרַבּ֥וּ פְ֝שָׁעֶ֗יךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַה־תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־לּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 If you have sinned, [3]
what do you do against him? [2]

And if your transgressions are multiplied, [2]
what do you do to him? [1]
7 אִם־צָ֭דַקְתָּ [3] Dechi
מַה־תִּתֶּן־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

א֥וֹ מַה־מִּיָּדְךָ֥ יִקָּֽח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 7 If you have been righteous, [3]
what do you give to him? [2]

Or what does he receive from your hand? [1]
8 לְאִישׁ־כָּמ֥וֹךָ רִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta

וּלְבֶן־אָ֝דָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 Your wickedness is for a person like yourself; [2]

and for a son of man [2]
is your righteousness. [1]
9 מֵ֣רֹב עֲשׁוּקִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יַזְעִ֑יקוּ [2] Etnachta

יְשַׁוְּע֖֣וּ [2] VRevMug
מִזְּר֣וֹעַ רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 “From a multitude of oppressions [3]
they cry out; [2]

they cry out for help [2]
from the arm of the mighty. [1]
10 וְֽלֹא־אָמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
אַ֭יֵּה [3] Dechi
אֱל֣וֹהַּ עֹשָׂ֑י [2] Etnachta

נֹתֵ֖ן זְמִר֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 10 But no one says, [3]
‘Where [3]
is God my Maker; [2]

who gives songs [2]
in the night, [1]
11 מַ֭לְּפֵנוּ [3] Dechi
מִבַּהֲמ֣וֹת אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta

וּמֵע֖וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
יְחַכְּמֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 who teaches us [3]
more than the animals of the earth; [2]

and more than the birds of the heavens [2]
he makes us wise?’ [1]
12 שָׁ֣ם יִ֭צְעֲקוּ [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יַעֲנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta

מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
גְּא֣וֹן רָעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 There they cry out, [3]
but he doesn't answer; [2]

because of [2]
the pride of the wicked. [1]
13 אַךְ־שָׁ֭וְא [3] Dechi
לֹא־יִשְׁמַ֥ע ׀ אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta

וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יְשׁוּרֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Surely emptiness [3]
God doesn't hear; [2]

and the Almighty, [2]
he doesn't regard it. [1]
14 אַ֣ף כִּֽי־תֹ֭אמַר [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א תְשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta

דִּ֥ין לְ֝פָנָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּתְח֥וֹלֵֽל לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 How much less when you say [3]
you don’t see him; [2]

the case is before him, [2]
and you wait for him! [1]
15 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
כִּי־אַ֭יִן [3] Dechi
פָּקַ֣ד אַפּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta

וְלֹֽא־יָדַ֖ע בַּפַּ֣שׁ [2] VRevMug
מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 15 But now, [3]
because not [3]
has his anger punished; [2]

and not does he regard transgression [2]
greatly, [1]
16 וְ֭אִיּוֹב [3] Dechi
הֶ֣בֶל יִפְצֶה־פִּ֑יהוּ [2] Etnachta

בִּבְלִי־דַ֝֗עַת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִלִּ֥ין יַכְבִּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
פ
2 3 2 16 so Job, [3]
with empty talk he opens his mouth; [2]

without knowledge [2]
he multiplies words.” [1]
