1 וַיַּ֖עַן יְהֹוָ֥ה אֶת־אִיּ֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 And the LORD answered Job [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 הֲ֣רֹב עִם־שַׁדַּ֣י [3] VDechi
יִסּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
מוֹכִ֖יחַ אֱל֣וֹהַּ [2] VRevMug
יַעֲנֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 2 “Shall he contend with the Almighty, [3]
a faultfinder? [2]
 
One who accuses God, [2]
let him answer him.” [1]
3 וַיַּ֖עַן אִיּ֥וֹב אֶת־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 Then Job answered the LORD [3/2]
and he said, [1]
4 הֵ֣ן קַ֭לֹּתִי [3] Dechi
מָ֣ה אֲשִׁיבֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
יָ֝דִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שַׂ֣מְתִּי לְמוֹ־פִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 “Behold, I am nothing. [3]
What can I reply to you? [2]
 
My hand [2]
I put over my mouth. [1]
5 אַחַ֣ת דִּ֭בַּרְתִּי [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א אֶעֱנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝שְׁתַּ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א אוֹסִֽיף׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 5 I spoke once, [3]
but I have no answer; [2]
 
twice, [2]
but I will say no more.” [1]
6 וַיַּעַן־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֶת־אִ֭יּוֹב [3] Dechi
*מנסערה **מִ֥ן ׀ סְעָרָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 6 Then the LORD answered Job [3]
from the whirlwind [3/2]
and he said, [1]
7 אֱזׇר־נָ֣א כְגֶ֣בֶר [3] VDechi
חֲלָצֶ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta
 
אֶ֝שְׁאָלְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְהוֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 “Now gird up like a man [3]
your loins. [2]
 
I will question you, [2]
and you will make known to me. [1]
8 הַ֭אַף [3] Dechi
תָּפֵ֣ר מִשְׁפָּטִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
תַּ֝רְשִׁיעֵ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְמַ֣עַן תִּצְדָּֽק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Really [3]
will you annul my judgment? [2]
 
Will you condemn me as guilty [2]
that you may be justified? [1]
9 וְאִם־זְר֖וֹעַ כָּאֵ֥ל ׀ לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בְק֗וֹל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כָּמֹ֥הוּ תַרְעֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 9 Or do you have an arm like God? [2]
 
And with a voice [2]
like him can you thunder? [1]
10 עֲדֵ֥ה נָ֣א גָא֣וֹן [3] VDechi
וָגֹ֑בַהּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְה֖וֹד וְהָדָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
תִּלְבָּֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 “Now adorn yourself with majesty [3]
and dignity; [2]
 
and with glory and splendor [2]
clothe yourself. [1]
11 הָ֭פֵץ [3] Dechi
עֶבְר֣וֹת אַפֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וּרְאֵ֥ה כׇל־גֵּ֝אֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְהַשְׁפִּילֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Pour out [3]
the fury of your anger; [2]
 
and look at everyone who is proud [2]
and bring him low. [1]
12 רְאֵ֣ה כׇל־גֵּ֭אֶה [3] Dechi
הַכְנִיעֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וַהֲדֹ֖ךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תַּחְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 Look at everyone who is proud [3]
(and) humble him; [2]
 
and tread down the wicked [2]
in their place. [1]
13 טׇמְנֵ֣ם בֶּעָפָ֣ר [3] VDechi
יָ֑חַד [2] Etnachta
 
פְּ֝נֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֲבֹ֣שׁ בַּטָּמֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Hide them in the dust [3]
together; [2]
 
their faces [2]
bind up in the hidden place. [1]
14 וְגַם־אֲנִ֥י אוֹדֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־תוֹשִׁ֖עַ לְךָ֣ [2] VRevMug
יְמִינֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 14 Then I, even I will commend you; [2]
 
that it can save you, [2]
your own right hand. [1]
15 הִנֵּה־נָ֣א בְ֭הֵמוֹת [3] Dechi
אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֣יתִי עִמָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
חָ֝צִ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּבָּקָ֥ר יֹאכֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 “Behold now Behemoth [3]
which I made along with you; [2]
 
grass [2]
like the ox he eats. [1]
16 הִנֵּה־נָ֣א כֹח֣וֹ [3] VDechi
בְמׇתְנָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אוֹנ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּשְׁרִירֵ֥י בִטְנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 Behold now his strength [3]
in his loins; [2]
 
and his power [2]
in the muscles of his belly. [1]
17 יַחְפֹּ֣ץ זְנָב֣וֹ [3] VDechi
כְמוֹ־אָ֑רֶז [2] Etnachta
 
גִּידֵ֖י פַחֲדָ֣ו [2] VRevMug
יְשֹׂרָֽגוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 He stiffens his tail [3]
like a cedar; [2]
 
the sinews of his thighs, [2]
they are knit together. [1]
18 עֲ֭צָמָיו [3] Dechi
אֲפִיקֵ֣י נְחֻשָׁ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
גְּ֝רָמָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּמְטִ֥יל בַּרְזֶֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 His bones [3]
are tubes of bronze; [2]
 
his limbs [2]
like rods of iron. [1]
19 ה֭וּא [3] Dechi
רֵאשִׁ֣ית דַּרְכֵי־אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
הָ֝עֹשׂ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַגֵּ֥שׁ חַרְבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 He [3]
is the first of the ways of God; [2]
 
the one who made him, [2]
only he can draw near with his sword. [1]
20 כִּי־ב֭וּל [3] Dechi
הָרִ֣ים יִשְׂאוּ־ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽכׇל־חַיַּ֥ת הַ֝שָּׂדֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְשַׂחֲקוּ־שָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 For food, [3]
the mountains yield for him; [2]
 
and all the wild animals, [2]
they play there. [1]
21 תַּֽחַת־צֶאֱלִ֥ים יִשְׁכָּ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
בְּסֵ֖תֶר קָנֶ֣ה [2] VRevMug
וּבִצָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 21 Under the lotus plants he lies; [2]
 
hidden among the reeds [2]
and marsh. [1]
22 יְסֻכֻּ֣הוּ צֶאֱלִ֣ים [3] VDechi
צִֽלְל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יְ֝סֻבּ֗וּהוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַרְבֵי־נָֽחַל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 The lotus plants cover him [3]
with their shade; [2]
 
they surround him, [2]
the willows of the brook. [1]
23 הֵ֤ן יַעֲשֹׁ֣ק נָ֭הָר [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יַחְפּ֑וֹז [2] Etnachta
 
יִבְטַ֓ח ׀ [2] ShalsheletG
כִּֽי־יָגִ֖יחַ יַרְדֵּ֣ן [2] VRevMug
אֶל־פִּֽיהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 23 Behold if the river rages, [3]
he is not alarmed; [2]
 
he is confident, [2]
even if the Jordan surges [2]
against his mouth. [1]
24 בְּעֵינָ֥יו יִקָּחֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝מוֹקְשִׁ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִנְקׇב־אָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 24 By his eyes can anyone take him; [2]
 
with hooks [2]
can anyone pierce (his) nose? [1]

בְּחַכָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בְחֶ֗בֶל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תַּשְׁקִ֥יעַ לְשֹׁנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 “Can you pull in Leviathan [3]
with a fishhook; [2]
 
or with a cord [2]
hold down his tongue? [1]
26 הֲתָשִׂ֣ים אַגְמֹ֣ן [3] VDechi
בְּאַפּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בְח֗וֹחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּקֹּ֥ב לֶחֱיֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Can you put a rope [3]
in his nose; [2]
 
or with a hook [2]
pierce his jaw? [1]
27 הֲיַרְבֶּ֣ה אֵ֭לֶיךָ [3] Dechi
תַּחֲנוּנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־יְדַבֵּ֖ר אֵלֶ֣יךָ [2] VRevMug
רַכּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Will he make to you many [3]
pleas for mercy; [2]
 
or will he speak to you [2]
soft words? [1]
28 הֲיִכְרֹ֣ת בְּרִ֣ית [3] VDechi
עִמָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
תִּ֝קָּחֶ֗נּוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְעֶ֣בֶד עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 Will he make a covenant [3]
with you; [2]
 
that you can take him [2]
as a slave forever? [1]
29 הַֽתְשַׂחֶק־בּ֭וֹ [3] Dechi
כַּצִּפּ֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תִקְשְׁרֶ֗נּוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְנַעֲרוֹתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Can you play with him [3]
like a bird; [2]
 
or put him on a leash [2]
for your girls? [1]
30 יִכְר֣וּ עָ֭לָיו [3] Dechi
חַבָּרִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
יֶ֝חֱצ֗וּהוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בֵּ֣ין כְּֽנַעֲנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Will they bargain over him, [3]
traders? [2]
 
Will they divide him [2]
among the merchants? [1]
31 הַֽתְמַלֵּ֣א בְשֻׂכּ֣וֹת [3] VDechi
עוֹר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְצִלְצַ֖ל דָּגִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Can you fill with harpoons [3]
his hide; [2]
 
or with fishing spears [2]
his head? [1]
32 שִׂים־עָלָ֥יו כַּפֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
זְכֹ֥ר מִ֝לְחָמָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־תּוֹסַֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 If you lay your hands on him; [2]
 
(you will) remember the battle [2]
and never do it again. [1]
