עֹשֵׂ֣ה דְבָר֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־גָד֧וֹל יוֹם־יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וְנוֹרָ֥א מְאֹ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
וּמִ֥י יְכִילֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq

he raises his voice [3]
before his army, [2]
 
for very great [3]
is his camp, [2]
 
for mighty [2]
is the one carrying out his command; [1]
 
for great is the day of the LORD [3]
and very terrifying, [2]
and who can endure it? [1]
12 וְגַם־עַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שֻׁ֥בוּ עָדַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־לְבַבְכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta

“turn to me [2]
with all your heart; [1]
 
and with fasting and with weeping, [2]
and with mourning.” [1]
13 וְקִרְע֤וּ לְבַבְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וְאַל־בִּגְדֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְשׁ֖וּבוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־חַנּ֤וּן וְרַחוּם֙ [3] Pashta
ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
אֶ֤רֶךְ אַפַּ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְרַב־חֶ֔סֶד [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִחָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הָרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and not your garments, [2]
 
and turn [2]
to the LORD your God; [1]
 
for gracious and compassionate [3]
is he, [2]
 
slow to anger [3 3]
and abundant in lovingkindness, [2]
 
and relenting [2]
from harm. [1]

the priests, [2]
 
the servants [2]
of the LORD; [1]
 
and let them say, [4]
“Have compassion O LORD on your people, [3]
 
and don’t make your heritage into reproach, [3]
that the nations should mock against them. [2]
 
Why [3]
should they say among the peoples, [2]
 
‘Where [2]
is their God?’ ” [1]
18 וַיְקַנֵּ֥א יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

וַיַּחְמֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עַל־עַמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 18 Then the LORD became jealous [2]
for his land; [1]
 
and he had compassion [2]
on his people. [1]
19 וַיַּ֨עַן יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְעַמּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
הִנְנִ֨י שֹׁלֵ֤חַ לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הַדָּגָן֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־אֶתֵּ֨ן אֶתְכֶ֥ם ע֛וֹד [3] Tevir
חֶרְפָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and he said to his people, [3]
 
“Behold I am about to send to you, [3]
grain [3]
and new wine and fresh oil, [2]
 
and you will be satisfied [2]
with it; [1]
 
and I will no longer make you [3]
a reproach [2]
among the nations. [1]
20 וְֽאֶת־הַצְּפוֹנִ֞י [4] Gershayim
אַרְחִ֣יק מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
וְהִדַּחְתִּיו֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֣ה וּשְׁמָמָה֒ [2] Segol
 
אֶת־פָּנָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
אֶל־הַיָּם֙ [3] Pashta
הַקַּדְמֹנִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְסֹפ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הַיָּ֣ם הָאַחֲר֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וְעָלָ֣ה בָאְשׁ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
וְתַ֙עַל֙ [3 3] Pashta
צַחֲנָת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י הִגְדִּ֖יל [2] Tip'cha
לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

I will remove far away from you, [3]
 
and I will drive it away [3]
into a dry and desolate land, [2]
 
its front [3]
into the sea, [3]
the eastern, [2]

and its stench will go up, [3]
and it will rise, [3 3]
its foul smell.” [2]

O Land; [1]
 
be glad and rejoice, [2]
for the LORD, great things [2]
has done. [1]
22 אַל־תִּֽירְאוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בַּהֲמ֣וֹת שָׂדַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י דָשְׁא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
נְא֣וֹת מִדְבָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי־עֵץ֙ [3] Pashta
נָשָׂ֣א פִרְי֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
תְּאֵנָ֥ה וָגֶ֖פֶן [2] Tip'cha
נָתְנ֥וּ חֵילָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

O animals of the field, [2]
 
for they are green, [2]
the pastures of the wilderness; [1]
 
for the tree, [3]
it bears its fruit, [2]
 
the fig tree and the vine, [2]

בַּיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־נָתַ֥ן לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
אֶת־הַמּוֹרֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לִצְדָקָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּ֣וֹרֶד לָכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
גֶּ֛שֶׁם [3] Tevir
מוֹרֶ֥ה וּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ [2] Tip'cha
בָּרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

be glad and rejoice [3]
in the LORD your God, [2]
 
for he gives to you [3]
the early rain [2]
in faithfulness; [1]
 
and he sends down for you [3]
rain, [3]
early and spring rain, [2]

24 וּמָלְא֥וּ הַגֳּרָנ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
בָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְהֵשִׁ֥יקוּ הַיְקָבִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
תִּיר֥וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 24 And the threshing floors will be full [2]
of grain; [1]
 
and the vats will overflow [2]
with new wine and oil. [1]
25 וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הַשָּׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta
אָכַ֣ל הָאַרְבֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
הַיֶּ֖לֶק [2] Tip'cha
וְהֶחָסִ֣יל וְהַגָּזָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
חֵילִי֙ [3] Pashta
הַגָּד֔וֹל [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר שִׁלַּ֖חְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
בָּכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

the years [2]

the swarming locust has eaten, [2]
 
the great locust [2]
and the grasshopper and the caterpillar; [1]
 
my army [3]

26 וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אָכוֹל֙ [3] Pashta
וְשָׂב֔וֹעַ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִלַּלְתֶּ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֶת־שֵׁ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֥ה עִמָּכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לְהַפְלִ֑יא [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and be satisfied, [2]
 
and you will praise [3]
the name of the LORD [3]
your God, [2]
 
who has dealt with you [2]
wondrously; [1]
 
and my people will not be ashamed, [2]
forever. [1]
27 וִידַעְתֶּ֗ם [3] Revi'i
כִּ֣י בְקֶ֤רֶב יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta
אָ֔נִי [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲנִ֛י [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

וְלֹֽא־יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
