1 How the Lord in his anger has covered with a cloud [3]  the daughter of Zion, [2] (to) earth [2] of Israel; [1] in the day of his anger. [1] §  |

| 2 בִּלַּ֨ע אֲדֹנָ֜י [4] Geresh  *לא **וְלֹ֣א חָמַ֗ל [3] Revi'i כׇּל־נְא֣וֹת יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef מִבְצְרֵ֥י בַת־יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha הִגִּ֣יעַ לָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta וְשָׂרֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
2 The Lord has swallowed up [4]  and he has not spared [3] all the dwellings of Jacob, [2] the strongholds of the daughter of Judah, [2] he has brought them down to the ground; [1] and its princes. [1] §  |

| 3 גָּדַ֣ע בׇּֽחֳרִי־אַ֗ף [3] Revi'i  כֹּ֚ל [3] Yetiv קֶ֣רֶן יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef יְמִינ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha מִפְּנֵ֣י אוֹיֵ֑ב [1] Etnachta כְּאֵ֣שׁ לֶֽהָבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef סָבִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
3 He has cut off in the heat of anger [3]  every [3] horn of Israel, [2] his right hand [2] from before the enemy; [1] like a raging fire [2] all around. [1] §  |

4 He has bent his bow [4]  as an enemy, [3] as an adversary, [2] all [2] that were a delight to the eye; [1] of the daughter of Zion [2] his wrath. [1] §  |

5 The Lord has become like an enemy, [3]  he has swallowed up Israel, [2] all her palaces, [2] its fortifications; [1] in the daughter of Judah, [2] and lamentation. [1] §  |

6 And he has laid waste like the garden [3]  his tabernacle, [2] his appointed place; [1] appointed feast and Sabbath, [2] king and priest. [1] §  |

| 7 זָנַ֨ח אֲדֹנָ֤י ׀ מִזְבְּחוֹ֙ [3] Pashta  נִאֵ֣ר מִקְדָּשׁ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef בְּיַד־אוֹיֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta נָתְנ֥וּ בְּבֵית־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כְּי֥וֹם מוֹעֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
7 The Lord has rejected his altar, [3]  he has abandoned his sanctuary, [2] into the hand of the enemy [2] of her palaces; [1] they have made in the house of the LORD, [2] as in the day of an appointed feast. [1] §  |

| 8 חָשַׁ֨ב יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ לְהַשְׁחִית֙ [3] Pashta  חוֹמַ֣ת בַּת־צִיּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef לֹא־הֵשִׁ֥יב יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha מִבַּלֵּ֑עַ [1] Etnachta יַחְדָּ֥ו אֻמְלָֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
8 The LORD has resolved to destroy [3]  the wall of the daughter of Zion, [2] he has not turned back his hand [2] from destroying; [1] together they languish away. [1] §  |

| 9 טָבְע֤וּ בָאָ֙רֶץ֙ [3 3] Pashta  שְׁעָרֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef בְּרִיחֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta אֵ֣ין תּוֹרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֹא־מָצְא֥וּ חָז֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha מֵיְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
9 They have sunk into the ground, [3 3]  her gates, [2] her bars; [1] there is no more Torah, [2] they find no vision [2] from the LORD. [1] §  |

| 10 יֵשְׁב֨וּ לָאָ֤רֶץ יִדְּמוּ֙ [3] Pashta  זִקְנֵ֣י בַת־צִיּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef עַל־רֹאשָׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef שַׂקִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta רֹאשָׁ֔ן [2] Zaqef יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
10 They sit on the ground, they are silent, [3]  the elders of the daughter of Zion, [2] on their heads, [2] sackcloth; [1] their heads, [2] of Jerusalem. [1] §  |

11 My eyes are spent with tears, [3]  my inward parts are in turmoil, [2] my heart, [2] of the daughter of my people; [1] and the infant [2] of the city. [1] §  |

| 12 לְאִמֹּתָם֙ [3] Pashta  יֹֽאמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef דָּגָ֣ן וָיָ֑יִן [1] Etnachta בִּרְחֹב֣וֹת עִ֔יר [2] Zaqef אֶל־חֵ֖יק [2] Tip'cha אִמֹּתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
12 To their mothers [3]  they say, [2] is grain and wine?” [1] in the streets of the city, [2] on the bosom [2] of their mothers. [1] §  |

| 13 מָֽה־אֲעִידֵ֞ךְ [4] Gershayim  מָ֣ה אֲדַמֶּה־לָּ֗ךְ [3] Revi'i יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם [2] Zaqef וַאֲנַֽחֲמֵ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef בַּת־צִיּ֑וֹן [1] Etnachta שִׁבְרֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha מִ֥י יִרְפָּא־לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
13 What can I say for you, [4]  what can I compare to you [3] of Jerusalem? [2] that I may comfort you [2] daughter of Zion? [1] is your wound. [2] Who can heal you? [1] §  |

| 14 נְבִיאַ֗יִךְ [3] Revi'i  חָ֤זוּ לָךְ֙ [3] Pashta שָׁ֣וְא וְתָפֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef לְהָשִׁ֣יב *שביתך **שְׁבוּתֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta מַשְׂא֥וֹת שָׁ֖וְא [2] Tip'cha וּמַדּוּחִֽים׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
14 Your prophets, [3]  they have seen for you [3] false and worthless visions, [2] to turn back your captivity; [1] oracles that are worthless [2] and misleading. [1] §  |

| 15 סָֽפְק֨וּ עָלַ֤יִךְ כַּפַּ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta  כׇּל־עֹ֣בְרֵי דֶ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef וַיָּנִ֣עוּ רֹאשָׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta שֶׁיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta כְּלִ֣ילַת יֹ֔פִי [2] Zaqef לְכׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
15 They clap hands at you, [3 3]  all who pass by on the road, [2] and they shake their head [2] of Jerusalem; [1] that was called [3] ‘The perfection of beauty, [2] of all the earth’?” [1] §  |

| 16 פָּצ֨וּ עָלַ֤יִךְ פִּיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta  כׇּל־אֹ֣יְבַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef וַיַּֽחַרְקוּ־שֵׁ֔ן [2] Zaqef בִּלָּ֑עְנוּ [1] Etnachta שֶׁקִּוִּינֻ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha מָצָ֥אנוּ רָאִֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
16 They have opened their mouth wide against you, [3]  all your enemies, [2] and they gnash their teeth, [2] “We have swallowed (her) up; [1] we have waited for, [2] we've found (it), we've seen (it).” [1] §  |

| 17 עָשָׂ֨ה יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh  אֲשֶׁ֣ר זָמָ֗ם [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֣ה מִֽימֵי־קֶ֔דֶם [2] Zaqef וְלֹ֣א חָמָ֑ל [1] Etnachta אוֹיֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef קֶ֥רֶן צָרָֽיִךְ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
17 The LORD has done [4]  what he purposed, [3] which he commanded from days of old, [2] and he has not spared; [1] the enemy, [2] the horn of your adversaries. [1] §  |

| 18 צָעַ֥ק לִבָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha  אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֑י [1] Etnachta הוֹרִ֨ידִי כַנַּ֤חַל דִּמְעָה֙ [3] Pashta יוֹמָ֣ם וָלַ֔יְלָה [2] Zaqef לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef בַּת־עֵינֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
18 Their heart cried out [2]  to the Lord; [1] let tears run down like a river [3] day and night. [2] to yourself, [2] the daughter of your eye. [1] §  |

| 19 ק֣וּמִי ׀ [4] Legarmeh  רֹ֣נִּי *בליל **בַלַּ֗יְלָה [3] Revi'i אַשְׁמֻר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef לִבֵּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef פְּנֵ֣י אֲדֹנָ֑י [1] Etnachta עַל־נֶ֙פֶשׁ֙ [3 3] Pashta עֽוֹלָלַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef בְּרֹ֥אשׁ כׇּל־חוּצֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
19 Arise, [4]  cry out in the night [3] of the night watches, [2] your heart [2] the presence of the Lord; [1] for the life [3 3] of your children, [2] at the head of every street. [1] §  |

| 20 רְאֵ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta  וְֽהַבִּ֔יטָה [2] Zaqef עוֹלַ֣לְתָּ כֹּ֑ה [1] Etnachta עֹלְלֵ֣י טִפֻּחִ֔ים [2] Zaqef בְּמִקְדַּ֥שׁ אֲדֹנָ֖י [2] Tip'cha כֹּהֵ֥ן וְנָבִֽיא׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
20 “Look O LORD [3]  and see [2] you have dealt so severely! [1] healthy newborn infants, [2] in the sanctuary of the Lord, [2] the priest and the prophet? [1] §  |

| 21 שָׁכְב֨וּ לָאָ֤רֶץ חוּצוֹת֙ [3] Pashta  נַ֣עַר וְזָקֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef נָפְל֣וּ בֶחָ֑רֶב [1] Etnachta בְּי֣וֹם אַפֶּ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א חָמָֽלְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq ס  | 
21 “They lie on the ground in the streets, [3]  the young and the old, [2] they have fallen by the sword; [1] in the day of your anger, [2] you have not spared. [1] §  |

| 22 תִּקְרָא֩ כְי֨וֹם מוֹעֵ֤ד מְגוּרַי֙ [3] Pashta  מִסָּבִ֔יב [2] Zaqef בְּי֥וֹם אַף־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha פָּלִ֣יט וְשָׂרִ֑יד [1] Etnachta אֹיְבִ֥י כִלָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
22 “You have summoned as (on) the day of an appointed feast, my terrors [3]  on every side, [2] in the day of the anger of the LORD, [2] any who escaped and survived; [1] my enemy has consumed. [1] ¶  |
