מיכה 2 | Micah 2 | |||
1 Woe to those who plan wickedness [3] and who work evil [2] on their beds! [1] they do it, [2] of their hand. [1] |
2 And they covet fields [3] and they seize them, [2] and they take them; [1] a man and his household, [2] and his inheritance. [1] § |
3 Therefore [3] thus [3] says the LORD, [2] against this family [2] calamity; [1] you will not remove from it [4] your necks, [3] haughtily, [2] an evil time [2] it will be. [1] |
4 In that day [4] someone will take up a parable against you, [3] he will say, [3] ‘We are utterly ruined! [2] he exchanges; [1] he takes it from me, [2] he assigns!’ ” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 Therefore [3] you will have no one [2] by lot; [1] of the LORD. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
6 “Don’t prophesy!” [2] they prophesy; [1] It won’t overtake us, [2] disgrace.” [1] |
7 Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, [3] “Is he angry, [3] the Spirit of the LORD? [2] his deeds? [1] do good [2] the one who walks blamelessly?” [1] |
8 וְאֶתְמ֗וּל [3] Revi'i עַמִּי֙ [3] Pashta לְאוֹיֵ֣ב יְקוֹמֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֶ֖דֶר [2] Tip'cha תַּפְשִׁט֑וּן [1] Etnachta שׁוּבֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha מִלְחָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
8 But lately [3] my people [3] have risen up as an enemy. [2] the outer robe [2] you strip off; [1] returning [2] from battle. [1] |
9 The women of my people [3] you drive out, [2] in which she lived happily; [1] her children [2] forever. [1] |
10 Arise and depart! [2] For this is not [2] your resting place; [1] that destroys, [2] and with a grievous destruction. [1] |
11 If a man [4] walking in a spirit [3 3] of falsehood lies saying, [2] of wine [2] and of strong drink,” [1] of this people. [1] |
12 I will surely gather together [4] O Jacob, all of you. [3] the remnant of Israel. [2] like sheep in a sheepfold; [1] in the middle of its pasture, [2] with people. [1] |
13 The one who breaks open the way will go up [3] before them. [2] and they pass through [2] and they go out by it; [1] before them, [2] at their head. [1] ¶ |
