	¹ה֖וֹי [2] Tip'cha עִ֣יר דָּמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta כֻּלָּ֗הּ [3] Revi'i כַּ֤חַשׁ פֶּ֙רֶק֙ [3 3] Pashta מְלֵאָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א יָמִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha טָֽרֶף׃ [1] Silluq		¹Woe to [2] the city of blood! [1] All of it [3] with lying and plunder [3 3] is filled. [2] Never without [2] victims. [1]
	²ק֣וֹל שׁ֔וֹט [2] Zaqef וְק֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha רַ֣עַשׁ אוֹפָ֑ן [1] Etnachta וְס֣וּס דֹּהֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef וּמֶרְכָּבָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha מְרַקֵּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		²The sound of a whip, [2] and the sound [2] of a clattering wheel; [1] and a horse galloping, [2] and a chariot [2] jolting, [1]
	³פָּרָ֣שׁ מַעֲלֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְלַ֤הַב חֶ֙רֶב֙ [3 3] Pashta וּבְרַ֣ק חֲנִ֔ית [2] Zaqef וְרֹ֥ב חָלָ֖ל [2] Tip'cha וְכֹ֣בֶד פָּ֑גֶר [1] Etnachta וְאֵ֥ין קֵ֙צֶה֙ [3 3] Pashta לַגְּוִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef יכשלו *וְכָשְׁל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בִּגְוִיָּתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq		³a horseman climbing up, [3] and blade of a sword [3 3] and flash of a spear, [2] and a multitude of slain [2] and the weight of corpses; [1] and there is no end [3 3] to the bodies, [2] and people stumble [2] over their bodies, [1]
	⁴מֵרֹב֙ [3] Pashta זְנוּנֵ֣י זוֹנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef ט֥וֹבַת חֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha בַּעֲלַ֣ת כְּשָׁפִ֑ים [1] Etnachta הַמֹּכֶ֤רֶת גּוֹיִם֙ [3] Pashta בִּזְנוּנֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef וּמִשְׁפָּח֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha בִּכְשָׁפֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq		⁴because of the abundance [3] of the prostitutions of a prostitute, [2] with charming graces, [2] a mistress of sorceries; [1] who sells nations [3] by her prostitution, [2] and families [2] by her sorceries. [1]
	⁵הִנְנִ֣י אֵלַ֗יִךְ [3] Revi'i נְאֻם֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef וְגִלֵּיתִ֥י שׁוּלַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha עַל־פָּנָ֑יִךְ [1] Etnachta וְהַרְאֵיתִ֤י גוֹיִם֙ [3] Pashta מַעְרֵ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef וּמַמְלָכ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha קְלוֹנֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq		⁵“Behold I am against you,” [3] says [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] “and I will lift your skirts [2] over your face; [1] and I will show the nations [3] your nakedness, [2] and kingdoms [2] your shame. [1]
	⁶וְהִשְׁלַכְתִּ֥י עָלַ֛יִךְ [3] Tevir שִׁקֻּצִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וְנִבַּלְתִּ֑יךְ [1] Etnachta וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךְ [2] Tip'cha כְּרֹֽאִי׃ [1] Silluq		⁶And I will throw on you [3] detestable things, [2] and I will treat you with contempt; [1] and I will set you up [2] as a spectacle. [1]
	⁷וְהָיָ֤ה כׇל־רֹאַ֙יִךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta יִדּ֣וֹד מִמֵּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef וְאָמַר֙ [3] Pashta שׇׁדְּדָ֣ה נִֽינְוֵ֔ה [2] Zaqef מִ֖י [2] Tip'cha יָנ֣וּד לָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta מֵאַ֛יִן [3] Tevir אֲבַקֵּ֥שׁ מְנַחֲמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq		⁷And it will be that all who see you, [3 3] he will flee from you, [2] and he will say, [3] ‘Nineveh is laid waste! [2] Who [2] will mourn for her?’ [1] From where [3] will I seek comforters [2] for you?” [1]
	⁸הֲתֵֽיטְבִי֙ [3] Pashta מִנֹּ֣א אָמ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef הַיֹּֽשְׁבָה֙ [3] Pashta בַּיְאֹרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha סָבִ֣יב לָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר־חֵ֣יל יָ֔ם [2] Zaqef מִיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha חוֹמָתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq		⁸Are you better [3] than No-Amon, [2] who was dwelling [3] among the channels of the Nile, [2] with water [2] all around her; [1] whose rampart was the sea, [2] from the sea [2] her wall? [1]
	⁹כּ֥וּשׁ עׇצְמָ֛ה [3] Tevir וּמִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְאֵ֣ין קֵ֑צֶה [1] Etnachta פּ֣וּט וְלוּבִ֔ים [2] Zaqef הָי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בְּעֶזְרָתֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq		⁹Cush was her strength [3] and Egypt, [2] with no end to it. [1] Put and Libya, [2] they were [2] your helpers. [1]
	¹⁰גַּם־הִ֗יא [3] Revi'i לַגֹּלָה֙ [3] Pashta הָלְכָ֣ה בַשֶּׁ֔בִי [2] Zaqef גַּ֧ם עֹלָלֶ֛יהָ [3] Tevir יְרֻטְּשׁ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בְּרֹ֣אשׁ כׇּל־חוּצ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta וְעַל־נִכְבַּדֶּ֙יהָ֙ [3 3] Pashta יַדּ֣וּ גוֹרָ֔ל [2] Zaqef וְכׇל־גְּדוֹלֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha רֻתְּק֥וּ בַזִּקִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰Yet she too, [3] to exile [3] she went among the captives, [2] and her children, [3] they were dashed in pieces [2] at the head of all the streets; [1] and for her honored men [3 3] they cast lots, [2] and all her great men, [2] they were bound with chains. [1]
	¹¹גַּם־אַ֣תְּ תִּשְׁכְּרִ֔י [2] Zaqef תְּהִ֖י [2] Tip'cha נַעֲלָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta גַּם־אַ֛תְּ [3] Tevir תְּבַקְשִׁ֥י מָע֖וֹז [2] Tip'cha מֵאוֹיֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹You also, you will become drunk. [2] (You) will [2] go into hiding. [1] You also [3] you will seek a refuge [2] from the enemy. [1]
	¹²כׇּ֨ל־מִבְצָרַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef תְּאֵנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עִם־בִּכּוּרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אִם־יִנּ֕וֹעוּ [2] ZaqefG וְנָפְל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha עַל־פִּ֥י אוֹכֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq		¹²All your fortifications [2] will be like fig trees [2] with first-fruits; [1] when they are shaken, [2] they fall [2] into the mouth of the eater. [1]
	¹³הִנֵּ֨ה עַמֵּ֤ךְ נָשִׁים֙ [3] Pashta בְּקִרְבֵּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef לְאֹ֣יְבַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef פָּת֥וֹחַ נִפְתְּח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha שַׁעֲרֵ֣י אַרְצֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta אָכְלָ֥ה אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha בְּרִיחָֽיִךְ׃ [1] Silluq		¹³Behold, your troops are women [3] among you. [2] To your enemies, [2] wide they will be opened, [2] the gates of your land. [1] Fire will consume [2] your bars. [1]
	¹⁴מֵ֤י מָצוֹר֙ [3] Pashta שַֽׁאֲבִי־לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef חַזְּקִ֖י [2] Tip'cha מִבְצָרָ֑יִךְ [1] Etnachta בֹּ֧אִי בַטִּ֛יט [3] Tevir וְרִמְסִ֥י בַחֹ֖מֶר [2] Tip'cha הַחֲזִ֥יקִי מַלְבֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴Water for a siege [3] draw for yourself. [2] Strengthen [2] your fortifications. [1] Go into the clay [3] and tread the mortar. [2] Take hold of a brick mold. [1]
	¹⁵שָׁ֚ם [3] Yetiv תֹּאכְלֵ֣ךְ אֵ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef תַּכְרִיתֵ֣ךְ חֶ֔רֶב [2] Zaqef תֹּאכְלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha כַּיָּ֑לֶק [1] Etnachta הִתְכַּבֵּ֣ד כַּיֶּ֔לֶק [2] Zaqef הִֽתְכַּבְּדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha כָּאַרְבֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁵There [3] fire will consume you. [2] A sword will cut you off. [2] It will consume you [2] like the locust. [1] Multiply like the locust. [2] Multiply [2] like the swarming locust. [1]
	¹⁶הִרְבֵּית֙ [3] Pashta רֹכְלַ֔יִךְ [2] Zaqef מִכּוֹכְבֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta יֶ֥לֶק פָּשַׁ֖ט [2] Tip'cha וַיָּעֹֽף׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶You have increased [3] your merchants [2] more than the stars [2] of the heavens. [1] A locust strips off, [2] and flies away. [1]
	¹⁷מִנְּזָרַ֙יִךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta כָּֽאַרְבֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְטַפְסְרַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha כְּג֣וֹב גֹּבָ֑י [1] Etnachta הַחוֹנִ֤ים בַּגְּדֵרוֹת֙ [3] Pashta בְּי֣וֹם קָרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef שֶׁ֤מֶשׁ זָֽרְחָה֙ [3] Pashta וְנוֹדַ֔ד [2] Zaqef וְלֹא־נוֹדַ֥ע מְקוֹמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha אַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷Your princes [3 3] are like locusts, [2] and your officials [2] like a swarm of locusts; [1] which settle on the walls [3] on a cold day. [2] The sun rises, [3] and it flees, [2] and it is not known the place [2] where they are. [1]
	¹⁸נָמ֤וּ רֹעֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta מֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר [2] Zaqef יִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אַדִּירֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta נָפֹ֧שׁוּ עַמְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir עַל־הֶהָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וְאֵ֥ין מְקַבֵּֽץ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁸Your shepherds slumber, [3 3] O king of Assyria. [2] They lie down, [2] your nobles. [1] Your people are scattered [3] on the mountains, [2] with no one to gather them. [1]
	¹⁹אֵין־כֵּהָ֣ה לְשִׁבְרֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef נַחְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha מַכָּתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta כֹּ֣ל ׀ [4] Legarmeh שֹׁמְעֵ֣י שִׁמְעֲךָ֗ [3] Revi'i תָּ֤קְעוּ כַף֙ [3] Pashta עָלֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef כִּ֗י [3] Revi'i עַל־מִ֛י [3] Tevir לֹא־עָבְרָ֥ה רָעָתְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha תָּמִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁹There is no relief for your brokenness. [2] Severe [2] is your wound. [1] All [4] who hear the report of you, [3] they clap their hands [3] over you, [2] for [3] over whom [3] hasn't your evil passed [2] continually? [1]
