2 The sound of a whip, [2] and the sound [2] of a clattering wheel; [1] and a chariot [2] jolting, [1] |

3 a horseman climbing up, [3] and blade of a sword [3 3] and flash of a spear, [2] and the weight of corpses; [1] to the bodies, [2] over their bodies, [1] |

4 because of the abundance [3] of the prostitutions of a prostitute, [2] a mistress of sorceries; [1] by her prostitution, [2] by her sorceries. [1] |

6 And I will throw on you [3] detestable things, [2] and I will treat you with contempt; [1] as a spectacle. [1] |

7 And it will be that all who see you, [3 3] he will flee from you, [2] ‘Nineveh is laid waste! [2] will mourn for her?’ [1] will I seek comforters [2] for you?” [1] |

9 Cush was her strength [3] and Egypt, [2] with no end to it. [1] they were [2] your helpers. [1] |

12 All your fortifications [2] will be like fig trees [2] with first-fruits; [1] they fall [2] into the mouth of the eater. [1] |

13 Behold, your troops are women [3] among you. [2] wide they will be opened, [2] the gates of your land. [1] your bars. [1] |

17 Your princes [3 3] are like locusts, [2] like a swarm of locusts; [1] on a cold day. [2] and it flees, [2] where they are. [1] |

18 Your shepherds slumber, [3 3] O king of Assyria. [2] your nobles. [1] on the mountains, [2] with no one to gather them. [1] |
