2 לָדַ֣עַת חׇכְמָ֣ה [3] VDechi
וּמוּסָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
לְ֝הָבִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אִמְרֵ֥י בִינָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 to know wisdom [3]
and discipline; [2]
 
to understand [2]
words of insight, [1]
3 לָ֭קַחַת [3] Dechi
מוּסַ֣ר הַשְׂכֵּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
צֶ֥דֶק וּ֝מִשְׁפָּ֗ט [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּמֵשָׁרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 to receive [3]
instruction in wise behavior; [2]
 
righteousness and justice [2]
and fairness, [1]
4 לָתֵ֣ת לִפְתָאיִ֣ם [3] VDechi
עׇרְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
לְ֝נַ֗עַר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דַּ֣עַת וּמְזִמָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 to give to the simple [3]
prudence; [2]
 
to a young man [2]
knowledge and discretion. [1]
5 יִשְׁמַ֣ע חָ֭כָם [3] Dechi
וְי֣וֹסֶף לֶ֑קַח [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נָב֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תַּחְבֻּל֥וֹת יִקְנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Let the wise listen [3]
and let him increase in learning; [2]
 
and the discerning, [2]
let him obtain wise counsel, [1]
6 לְהָבִ֣ין מָ֭שָׁל [3] Dechi
וּמְלִיצָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
דִּבְרֵ֥י חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְחִידֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 to understand a proverb [3]
and a saying; [2]
 
the words of the wise [2]
and their riddles. [1]
7 יִרְאַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
רֵאשִׁ֣ית דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
חׇכְמָ֥ה וּ֝מוּסָ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֱוִילִ֥ים בָּֽזוּ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 7 The fear of the LORD [3]
is the beginning of knowledge; [2]
 
wisdom and discipline, [2]
fools despise. [1]
8 שְׁמַ֣ע בְּ֭נִי [3] Dechi
מוּסַ֣ר אָבִ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תִּ֝טֹּ֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תּוֹרַ֥ת אִמֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Hear O my son [3]
the instruction of your father; [2]
 
and do not forsake [2]
the teaching of your mother, [1]
9 כִּ֤י ׀ [4/3] Mahpakh Legarmeh
לִוְיַ֤ת חֵ֓ן הֵ֬ם לְרֹאשֶׁ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝עֲנָקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְגַרְגְּרֹתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 for [4/3]
a graceful garland they will be for your head; [2]
 
and pendants [2]
for your neck. [1]
10 בְּנִ֡י [4/3] Pazer
אִם־יְפַתּ֥וּךָ חַ֝טָּאִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־תֹּבֵֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 10 O my son [4/3]
if sinners entice you, [2]
do not consent. [1]
11 אִם־יֹאמְרוּ֮ [3] Sinnor
לְכָ֢ה אִ֫תָּ֥נוּ [2] Ole Veyored
 
נֶאֶרְבָ֥ה לְדָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
נִצְפְּנָ֖ה לְנָקִ֣י [2] VRevMug
חִנָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 11 If they say [3]
“Come with us; [2]
 
Let us lie in wait for blood. [2]
Let us ambush the innocent [2]
without cause. [1]
12 נִ֭בְלָעֵם [3] Dechi
כִּשְׁא֣וֹל חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝תְמִימִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּי֣וֹרְדֵי בֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 Let us swallow them up [3]
alive like Sheol; [2]
 
and whole, [2]
like those who go down to the pit. [1]
13 כׇּל־ה֣וֹן יָקָ֣ר [3] VDechi
נִמְצָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
נְמַלֵּ֖א בָתֵּ֣ינוּ [2] VRevMug
שָׁלָֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 All kinds of valuable possessions [3]
we will find; [2]
 
we will fill our houses [2]
with plunder. [1]
14 גּ֭וֹרָ֣לְךָ [3] Dechi
תַּפִּ֣יל בְּתוֹכֵ֑נוּ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥יס אֶ֝חָ֗ד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִהְיֶ֥ה לְכֻלָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 Your lot [3]
you shall cast among us; [2]
 
one purse [2]
we will all have.” [1]
15 בְּנִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אַל־תֵּלֵ֣ךְ בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ [3] VDechi
אִתָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
מְנַ֥ע רַ֝גְלְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִנְּתִיבָתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 15 O my son, [3]
do not walk in the way [3]
with them; [2]
 
hold back your foot [2]
from their paths, [1]
16 כִּ֣י רַ֭גְלֵיהֶם [3] Dechi
לָרַ֣ע יָר֑וּצוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וִ֝ימַהֲר֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִשְׁפׇּךְ־דָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 for their feet, [3]
they run to evil; [2]
 
and they make haste [2]
to shed blood. [1]
17 כִּֽי־חִ֭נָּם [3] Dechi
מְזֹרָ֣ה הָרָ֑שֶׁת [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝עֵינֵ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כׇּל־בַּ֥עַל כָּנָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 For in vain [3]
the net is spread out; [2]
 
in the sight [2]
of any bird, [1]
18 וְ֭הֵם [3] Dechi
לְדָמָ֣ם יֶאֱרֹ֑בוּ [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝צְפְּנ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְנַפְשֹׁתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 but they, [3]
they lie in wait for their own blood; [2]
 
they set an ambush [2]
for their own lives. [1]
19 כֵּ֗ן [3] Revi'i
אׇ֭רְחוֹת [3] Dechi
כׇּל־בֹּ֣צֵֽעַ בָּ֑צַע [2] Etnachta
 
אֶת־נֶ֖פֶשׁ בְּעָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
יִקָּֽח׃ [1] Silluq

are the ways [3]
of everyone who is greedy for unjust gain; [2]
 
the life of those who get it, [2]
it takes away. [1]
20 חׇ֭כְמוֹת [3] Dechi
בַּח֣וּץ תָּרֹ֑נָּה [2] Etnachta
 
בָּ֝רְחֹב֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּתֵּ֥ן קוֹלָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Wisdom, [3]
in the street she calls out; [2]
 
in the public squares [2]
she raises her voice. [1]
21 בְּרֹ֥אשׁ הֹמִיּ֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
תִּ֫קְרָ֥א [2] Ole Veyored
 
בְּפִתְחֵ֖י שְׁעָרִ֥ים בָּעִ֗יר [3/2] Revi'i
אֲמָרֶ֥יהָ תֹאמֵֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Above the commotion [3]
she calls out; [2]
 
at the entrances of the city gates [3/2]
her words she speaks, [1]
22 עַד־מָתַ֣י ׀ פְּתָיִם֮ [3] Sinnor
תְּֽאֵהֲב֫וּ פֶ֥תִי [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְלֵצִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
לָ֭צוֹן [3] Dechi
חָמְד֣וּ לָהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝כְסִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׂנְאוּ־דָֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 3 2 22 “How long O simple ones [3]
will you love simplicity; [2]
 
and mockers, [3]
mockery [3]
will they delight themselves in, [2]
 
and fools [2]
will they hate knowledge? [1]
23 תָּשׁ֗וּבוּ [3] Revi'i
לְֽת֫וֹכַחְתִּ֥י [2] Ole Veyored
 
הִנֵּ֤ה אַבִּ֣יעָה לָכֶ֣ם [3] VDechi
רוּחִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
אוֹדִ֖יעָה דְבָרַ֣י [2] VRevMug
אֶתְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 23 If you turn [3]
at my reproof; [2]
 
behold I will pour out on you [3]
my spirit, [2]
 
I will make known my words [2]
to you. [1]
24 יַ֣עַן קָ֭רָאתִי [3] Dechi
וַתְּמָאֵ֑נוּ [2] Etnachta
 
נָטִ֥יתִי יָ֝דִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַקְשִֽׁיב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 Because I called [3]
and you refused; [2]
 
I stretched out my hand [2]
and no one has paid attention, [1]
25 וַתִּפְרְע֥וּ כׇל־עֲצָתִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תוֹכַחְתִּ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א אֲבִיתֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 25 and you ignored all my counsel; [2]
 
and my reproof [2]
you would not accept, [1]
26 גַּם־אֲ֭נִי [3] Dechi
בְּאֵידְכֶ֣ם אֶשְׂחָ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
אֶ֝לְעַ֗ג [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּבֹ֣א פַחְדְּכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 I also, [3]
I will laugh at your calamity; [2]
 
I will mock [2]
when your dread comes, [1]
27 בְּבֹ֤א *כשאוה **כְשׁוֹאָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
פַּחְדְּכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
וְֽ֭אֵידְכֶם [3] Dechi
כְּסוּפָ֣ה יֶאֱתֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
בְּבֹ֥א עֲ֝לֵיכֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צָרָ֥ה וְצוּקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 27 when like a storm comes [4]
your dread, [3]
 
and your calamity, [3]
it comes like a whirlwind; [2]
 
when upon you comes [2]
distress and anguish. [1]
28 אָ֣ז יִ֭קְרָאֻנְנִי [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א אֶעֱנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
יְ֝שַׁחֲרֻ֗נְנִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יִמְצָאֻֽנְנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 Then they will call to me [3]
but I will not answer; [2]
 
they will seek me diligently [2]
but they will not find me, [1]
29 תַּ֭חַת [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־שָׂ֣נְאוּ דָ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִרְאַ֥ת יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א בָחָֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 because [3]
they hated knowledge; [2]
 
and the fear of the LORD [2]
they did not choose. [1]
30 לֹא־אָב֥וּ לַעֲצָתִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
נָ֝אֲצ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כׇּל־תּוֹכַחְתִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 30 They refused my counsel; [2]
 
they despised [2]
all my reproof, [1]
31 וְֽ֭יֹאכְלוּ [3] Dechi
מִפְּרִ֣י דַרְכָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽמִמֹּעֲצֹ֖תֵיהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
יִשְׂבָּֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 so they shall eat [3]
of the fruit of their way; [2]
 
and with their own schemes [2]
they will be filled. [1]
32 כִּ֤י מְשׁוּבַ֣ת פְּתָיִ֣ם [3] VDechi
תַּהַרְגֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְשַׁלְוַ֖ת כְּסִילִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תְּאַבְּדֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 For the turning away of the simple, [3]
it will kill them; [2]
 
and the complacency of fools, [2]
it will destroy them. [1]
33 וְשֹׁמֵ֣עַֽ לִ֭י [3] Dechi
יִשְׁכׇּן־בֶּ֑טַח [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝שַׁאֲנַ֗ן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִפַּ֥חַד רָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 33 But whoever listens to me, [3]
he will dwell securely; [2]
 
and he will be at ease, [2]
without fear of harm.” [1]
