1 מַֽעֲנֶה־רַּ֭ךְ [3] Dechi
יָשִׁ֣יב חֵמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּדְבַר־עֶ֝֗צֶב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַעֲלֶה־אָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 A soft answer, [3]
it turns away wrath; [2]
 
but a harsh word, [2]
it stirs up anger. [1]
2 לְשׁ֣וֹן חֲ֭כָמִים [3] Dechi
תֵּיטִ֣יב דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י כְ֝סִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַבִּ֥יעַ אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 The tongue of the wise, [3]
it uses knowledge rightly; [2]
 
but the mouth of fools, [2]
it pours out foolishness. [1]
3 בְּֽכׇל־מָ֭קוֹם [3] Dechi
עֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
צֹ֝פ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
רָעִ֥ים וְטוֹבִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 In every place [3]
are the eyes of the LORD; [2]
 
watching [2]
the evil and the good. [1]
4 מַרְפֵּ֣א לָ֭שׁוֹן [3] Dechi
עֵ֣ץ חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְסֶ֥לֶף בָּ֝֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שֶׁ֣בֶר בְּרֽוּחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 A wholesome tongue [3]
is a tree of life; [2]
 
but perverseness in it [2]
is brokenness in spirit. [1]
5 אֱוִ֗יל [3] Revi'i
יִ֭נְאַץ [3] Dechi
מוּסַ֣ר אָבִ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁמֵ֖ר תּוֹכַ֣חַת [2] VRevMug
יַעְרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 5 A fool, [3]
he despises [3]
the discipline of his father; [2]
 
but one who heeds reproof, [2]
he is prudent. [1]
6 בֵּ֣ית צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
חֹ֣סֶן רָ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וּבִתְבוּאַ֖ת רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
נֶעְכָּֽרֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 The house of the righteous [3]
is great wealth; [2]
 
but with the income of the wicked [2]
is trouble. [1]
7 שִׂפְתֵ֣י חֲ֭כָמִים [3] Dechi
יְזָ֣רוּ דָ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֵ֖ב כְּסִילִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
לֹא־כֵֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The lips of the wise, [3]
they spread knowledge; [2]
 
but the heart of fools [2]
is not so. [1]
8 זֶ֣בַח רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּתְפִלַּ֖ת יְשָׁרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
רְצוֹנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 The sacrifice made by the wicked [3]
is an abomination to the LORD; [2]
 
but the prayer of the upright [2]
is his delight. [1]
9 תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
דֶּ֣רֶךְ רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְרַדֵּ֖ף צְדָקָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
יֶאֱהָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 An abomination to the LORD [3]
is the way of the wicked; [2]
 
but one who pursues righteousness, [2]
he loves. [1]
10 מוּסָ֣ר רָ֭ע [3] Dechi
לְעֹזֵ֣ב אֹ֑רַח [2] Etnachta
 
שׂוֹנֵ֖א תוֹכַ֣חַת [2] VRevMug
יָמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 Stern discipline [3]
is for one who forsakes the way; [2]
 
one who hates correction, [2]
he will die. [1]
11 שְׁא֣וֹל וַ֭אֲבַדּוֹן [3] Dechi
נֶ֣גֶד יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֝֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־לִבּ֥וֹת בְּֽנֵי־אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Sheol and Abaddon [3]
are before the LORD; [2]
 
how much more then [2]
the hearts of the children of men! [1]
12 לֹ֣א יֶאֱהַב־לֵ֭ץ [3] Dechi
הוֹכֵ֣חַֽ ל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אֶל־חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יֵלֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 A scoffer doesn’t love [3]
to be reproved; [2]
 
to the wise [2]
he does not go. [1]
13 לֵ֣ב שָׂ֭מֵחַ [3] Dechi
יֵיטִ֣ב פָּנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְעַצְּבַת־לֵ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ר֣וּחַ נְכֵאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 A joyful heart [3]
makes a cheerful face; [2]
 
but by a sorrowful heart [2]
a spirit is broken. [1]
14 לֵ֣ב נָ֭בוֹן [3] Dechi
יְבַקֶּשׁ־דָּ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
*ופני **וּפִ֥י כְ֝סִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִרְעֶ֥ה אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 A discerning heart, [3]
it seeks knowledge; [2]
 
but the mouth of fools, [2]
it feeds on foolishness. [1]
15 כׇּל־יְמֵ֣י עָנִ֣י [3] VDechi
רָעִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְטֽוֹב־לֵ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה תָמִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 All the days of the afflicted [3]
are wretched; [2]
 
but the good of heart, [2]
a continual feast. [1]
16 טוֹב־מְ֭עַט [3] Dechi
בְּיִרְאַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
מֵאוֹצָ֥ר רָ֝֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּמְה֥וּמָה בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 Good is a little [3]
with the fear of the LORD; [2]
 
more than great treasure [2]
and trouble with it. [1]
17 ט֤וֹב אֲרֻחַ֣ת יָ֭רָק [3] Dechi
וְאַהֲבָה־שָׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
מִשּׁ֥וֹר אָ֝ב֗וּס [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְשִׂנְאָה־בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 Good is a serving of vegetables [3]
where love is; [2]
 
more than a fattened ox [2]
and hatred with it. [1]
18 אִ֣ישׁ חֵ֭מָה [3] Dechi
יְגָרֶ֣ה מָד֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶ֥רֶךְ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַשְׁקִ֥יט רִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 A wrathful person, [3]
he stirs up strife; [2]
 
but one who is slow to anger, [2]
he quiets a dispute. [1]
19 דֶּ֣רֶךְ עָ֭צֵל [3] Dechi
כִּמְשֻׂ֣כַת חָ֑דֶק [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹ֖רַח יְשָׁרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
סְלֻלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 The way of a sluggard [3]
is like a hedge of thorns; [2]
 
but the path of the upright [2]
is a highway. [1]
20 בֵּ֣ן חָ֭כָם [3] Dechi
יְשַׂמַּח־אָ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וּכְסִ֥יל אָ֝דָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בּוֹזֶ֥ה אִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 A wise son, [3]
he makes a father glad; [2]
 
but a foolish man [2]
despises his mother. [1]
21 אִ֭וֶּלֶת [3] Dechi
שִׂמְחָ֣ה לַחֲסַר־לֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֥ישׁ תְּ֝בוּנָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְיַשֶּׁר־לָֽכֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Foolishness [3]
is a joy to one who lacks wisdom; [2]
 
but a man of understanding, [2]
he walks a straight path. [1]
22 הָפֵ֣ר מַ֭חֲשָׁבוֹת [3] Dechi
בְּאֵ֣ין ס֑וֹד [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְרֹ֖ב יוֹעֲצִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תָּקֽוּם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Plans go wrong [3]
when there is no counsel; [2]
 
but with a multitude of counselors, [2]
it is established. [1]
23 שִׂמְחָ֣ה לָ֭אִישׁ [3] Dechi
בְּמַעֲנֵה־פִ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְדָבָ֖ר בְּעִתּ֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
מַה־טּֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 Joy a man has [3]
in the answer of his mouth; [2]
 
and a word at the right time, [2]
how good it is! [1]
24 אֹ֣רַח חַ֭יִּים [3] Dechi
לְמַ֣עְלָה לְמַשְׂכִּ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֥עַן ס֝֗וּר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְּׁא֥וֹל מָֽטָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 The path of life [3]
leads upward for the wise; [2]
 
to turn (him) away [2]
from Sheol beneath. [1]
25 בֵּ֣ית גֵּ֭אִים [3] Dechi
יִסַּ֥ח ׀ יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יַצֵּ֗ב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
גְּב֣וּל אַלְמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 The house of the proud, [3]
the LORD tears down; [2]
 
but he will establish [2]
the borders of the widow. [1]
26 תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝טְהֹרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אִמְרֵי־נֹֽעַם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 An abomination to the LORD [3]
are the plans of the wicked; [2]
 
but pure [2]
are words of kindness. [1]
27 עֹכֵ֣ר בֵּ֭יתוֹ [3] Dechi
בּוֹצֵ֣עַ בָּ֑צַע [2] Etnachta
 
וְשׂוֹנֵ֖א מַתָּנֹ֣ת [2] VRevMug
יִחְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 Troubling his own house [3]
is one who is greedy for unjust gain; [2]
 
but one who hates bribes, [2]
he will live. [1]
28 לֵ֣ב צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
יֶהְגֶּ֣ה לַעֲנ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַבִּ֥יעַ רָעֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 The heart of the righteous, [3]
it considers how to answer; [2]
 
but the mouth of the wicked, [2]
it pours out evil. [1]
29 רָח֣וֹק יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
מֵרְשָׁעִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּתְפִלַּ֖ת צַדִּיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִשְׁמָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 Far is the LORD [3]
from the wicked; [2]
 
but the prayer of the righteous, [2]
he hears. [1]
30 מְֽאוֹר־עֵ֭ינַיִם [3] Dechi
יְשַׂמַּֽח־לֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
שְׁמוּעָ֥ה ט֝וֹבָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּדַשֶּׁן־עָֽצֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 The light of the eyes, [3]
it makes a heart glad; [2]
 
good news [2]
gives health to the bones. [1]
31 אֹ֗זֶן [3] Revi'i
שֹׁ֭מַעַת [3] Dechi
תּוֹכַ֣חַת חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
בְּקֶ֖רֶב חֲכָמִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תָּלִֽין׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 31 The ear [3]
that listens to [3]
life-giving reproof; [2]
 
among the wise [2]
it will dwell. [1]
32 פּוֹרֵ֣עַ מ֭וּסָר [3] Dechi
מוֹאֵ֣ס נַפְשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְשׁוֹמֵ֥עַ תּ֝וֹכַ֗חַת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ק֣וֹנֶה לֵּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 One who refuses correction [3]
despises his own soul; [2]
 
but one who heeds reproof [2]
acquires understanding. [1]
33 יִרְאַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
מוּסַ֣ר חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְלִפְנֵ֖י כָב֣וֹד [2] VRevMug
עֲנָוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 33 The fear of the LORD [3]
is the instruction of wisdom; [2]
 
and before honor [2]
is humility. [1]
