1 חַכְמ֣וֹת נָ֭שִׁים [3] Dechi
בָּנְתָ֣ה בֵיתָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אִוֶּ֗לֶת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּיָדֶ֥יהָ תֶהֶרְסֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Every wise woman [3]
builds her house; [2]
 
but the foolish one, [2]
with her own hands she tears it down. [1]
2 הוֹלֵ֣ךְ בְּ֭יׇשְׁרוֹ [3] Dechi
יְרֵ֣א יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּנְל֖וֹז דְּרָכָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
בּוֹזֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 The one who walks in his uprightness [3]
fears the LORD; [2]
 
but the one who is crooked in his ways [2]
despises him. [1]
3 בְּֽפִי־אֱ֭וִיל [3] Dechi
חֹ֣טֶר גַּאֲוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְשִׂפְתֵ֥י חֲ֝כָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּשְׁמוּרֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 In the mouth of a fool [3]
is a rod of pride; [2]
 
but the lips of the wise [2]
will protect them. [1]
4 בְּאֵ֣ין אֲ֭לָפִים [3] Dechi
אֵב֣וּס בָּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְרׇב־תְּ֝בוּא֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּכֹ֣חַ שֽׁוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 When there are no oxen, [3]
the feeding trough is clean; [2]
 
but abundance of produce [2]
is by the strength of the ox. [1]
5 עֵ֣ד אֱ֭מוּנִים [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יְכַזֵּ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וְיָפִ֥יחַ כְּ֝זָבִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵ֣ד שָֽׁקֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 A faithful witness, [3]
he doesn't lie; [2]
 
but he breathes out lies, [2]
a false witness. [1]
6 בִּקֶּשׁ־לֵ֣ץ חׇכְמָ֣ה [3] VDechi
וָאָ֑יִן [2] Etnachta
 
וְדַ֖עַת לְנָב֣וֹן [2] VRevMug
נָקָֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 A mocker seeks wisdom, [3]
and finds nothing; [2]
 
but knowledge to one who has understanding [2]
comes easily. [1]
7 לֵ֣ךְ מִ֭נֶּגֶד [3] Dechi
לְאִ֣ישׁ כְּסִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וּבַל־יָ֝דַ֗עְתָּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שִׂפְתֵי־דָֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Go from the presence of [3]
a foolish person; [2]
 
when you don’t find [2]
lips of knowledge. [1]
8 חׇכְמַ֣ת עָ֭רוּם [3] Dechi
הָבִ֣ין דַּרְכּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִוֶּ֖לֶת כְּסִילִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 The wisdom of the prudent [3]
is to discern his way; [2]
 
but the foolishness of fools [2]
is deception. [1]
9 אֱ֭וִלִים [3] Dechi
יָלִ֣יץ אָשָׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּבֵ֖ין יְשָׁרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
רָצֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Fools [3]
pretend that nothing is their fault; [2]
 
but among the upright [2]
is good will. [1]
10 לֵ֗ב [3] Revi'i
י֭וֹדֵעַ [3] Dechi
מָרַּ֣ת נַפְשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בְשִׂמְחָת֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־יִתְעָ֥רַב זָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 10 A heart [3]
knows [3]
its own bitterness; [2]
 
and in its joy [2]
a stranger doesn't share. [1]
11 בֵּ֣ית רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
יִשָּׁמֵ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹ֖הֶל יְשָׁרִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יַפְרִֽיחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 The house of the wicked, [3]
it will be destroyed; [2]
 
but the tent of the upright, [2]
it will flourish. [1]
12 יֵ֤שׁ דֶּ֣רֶךְ יָ֭שָׁר [3] Dechi
לִפְנֵי־אִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַחֲרִיתָ֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דַּרְכֵי־מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 There is a way that seems straight [3]
before a person; [2]
 
but its end [2]
is the way of death. [1]
13 גַּם־בִּשְׂחֹ֥ק יִכְאַב־לֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַחֲרִיתָ֖הּ שִׂמְחָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
תוּגָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 13 Even in laughter a heart may be in pain; [2]
 
and joy may end [2]
in grief. [1]
14 מִדְּרָכָ֣יו יִ֭שְׂבַּע [3] Dechi
ס֣וּג לֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מֵעָלָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אִ֣ישׁ טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 From his own ways he will be repaid, [3]
one with an unfaithful heart; [2]
 
and likewise from his own (ways) [2]
(will be repaid) a good person. [1]
15 פֶּ֭תִי [3] Dechi
יַאֲמִ֣ין לְכׇל־דָּבָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עָר֗וּם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָבִ֥ין לַאֲשֻׁרֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 A simple person [3]
believes everything; [2]
 
but the prudent, [2]
he considers his steps. [1]
16 חָכָ֣ם יָ֭רֵא [3] Dechi
וְסָ֣ר מֵרָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝כְסִ֗יל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִתְעַבֵּ֥ר וּבוֹטֵֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 The wise fears [3]
and turns aside from evil; [2]
 
but the fool [2]
is arrogant and careless. [1]
17 קְֽצַר־אַ֭פַּיִם [3] Dechi
יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה אִוֶּ֑לֶת [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֥ישׁ מְ֝זִמּ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשָּׂנֵֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 One who is quick to become angry, [3]
he will commit foolishness; [2]
 
and a crafty person, [2]
he is hated. [1]
18 נָחֲל֣וּ פְתָאיִ֣ם [3] VDechi
אִוֶּ֑לֶת [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝עֲרוּמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַכְתִּ֥רוּ דָֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 The simple inherit [3]
foolishness; [2]
 
but the prudent [2]
are crowned with knowledge. [1]
19 שַׁח֣וּ רָ֭עִים [3] Dechi
לִפְנֵ֣י טוֹבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַֽל־שַׁעֲרֵ֥י צַדִּֽיק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 The evil bow [3]
before the good; [2]
 
and the wicked (bow) [2]
at the gates of the righteous. [1]
20 גַּם־לְ֭רֵעֵהוּ [3] Dechi
יִשָּׂ֣נֵא רָ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹהֲבֵ֖י עָשִׁ֣יר [2] VRevMug
רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 Even by his neighbor, [3]
the poor is shunned; [2]
 
but those who love the rich [2]
are many. [1]
21 בׇּז־לְרֵעֵ֥הוּ חוֹטֵ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְחוֹנֵ֖ן *עניים **עֲנָוִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
אַשְׁרָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 21 The one who despises his neighbor sins; [2]
 
but the one who is kind to the needy, [2]
he is blessed. [1]
22 הֲֽלוֹא־יִ֭תְעוּ [3] Dechi
חֹ֣רְשֵׁי רָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֶ֥סֶד וֶ֝אֱמֶ֗ת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֹ֣רְשֵׁי טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Do they not go astray, [3]
those who devise evil? [2]
 
But love and faithfulness [2]
are to those who devise what is good. [1]
23 בְּכׇל־עֶ֭צֶב [3] Dechi
יִהְיֶ֣ה מוֹתָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וּדְבַר־שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַךְ־לְמַחְסֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 In all hard work [3]
there is profit; [2]
 
but the talk of the lips [2]
leads only to poverty. [1]
24 עֲטֶ֣רֶת חֲכָמִ֣ים [3] VDechi
עׇשְׁרָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
אִוֶּ֖לֶת כְּסִילִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 The crown of the wise [3]
is their riches; [2]
 
the foolishness of fools [2]
is foolishness. [1]
25 מַצִּ֣יל נְ֭פָשׁוֹת [3] Dechi
עֵ֣ד אֱמֶ֑ת [2] Etnachta
 
וְיָפִ֖חַ כְּזָבִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
מִרְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 (He) delivers lives, [3]
a truthful witness; [2]
 
but he breathes out lies, [2]
a deceitful one. [1]
26 בְּיִרְאַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
מִבְטַח־עֹ֑ז [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝לְבָנָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִהְיֶ֥ה מַחְסֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 In the fear of the LORD [3]
is a secure fortress; [2]
 
and for his children [2]
it will be a refuge. [1]
27 יִרְאַ֣ת יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
מְק֣וֹר חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
לָ֝ס֗וּר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִמֹּ֥קְשֵׁי מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 The fear of the LORD [3]
is a fountain of life; [2]
 
to turn one aside [2]
from the snares of death. [1]
28 בְּרׇב־עָ֥ם הַדְרַת־מֶ֑לֶךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְאֶ֥פֶס לְ֝אֹ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְחִתַּ֥ת רָזֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 28 In the multitude of people is the glory of a king; [2]
 
but in the lack of people [2]
is the ruin of a ruler. [1]
29 אֶ֣רֶךְ אַ֭פַּיִם [3] Dechi
רַב־תְּבוּנָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּקְצַר־ר֝֗וּחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵרִ֥ים אִוֶּֽלֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 One who is slow to anger [3]
has great understanding; [2]
 
but one who has a quick temper [2]
displays foolishness. [1]
30 חַיֵּ֣י בְ֭שָׂרִים [3] Dechi
לֵ֣ב מַרְפֵּ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וּרְקַ֖ב עֲצָמ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
קִנְאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 The life of the body [3]
is a tranquil heart; [2]
 
but rottenness of the bones [2]
is envy. [1]
31 עֹ֣שֵֽׁק דָּ֭ל [3] Dechi
חֵרֵ֣ף עֹשֵׂ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מְכַבְּד֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֹנֵ֥ן אֶבְיֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 One who oppresses the poor [3]
shows contempt for his Maker; [2]
 
but (he) honors him, [2]
one who is kind to the needy. [1]
32 בְּֽ֭רָעָתוֹ [3] Dechi
יִדָּחֶ֣ה רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֹסֶ֖ה בְמוֹת֣וֹ [2] VRevMug
צַדִּֽיק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 By his wickedness, [3]
the wicked is brought down; [2]
 
but (he) finds refuge in his death, [2]
the righteous. [1]
33 בְּלֵ֣ב נָ֭בוֹן [3] Dechi
תָּנ֣וּחַ חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְקֶ֥רֶב כְּ֝סִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּוָּדֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 33 In a discerning heart, [3]
wisdom rests; [2]
 
and in the inward parts of fools [2]
it is made known. [1]
34 צְדָקָ֥ה תְרוֹמֵֽם־גּ֑וֹי [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֶ֖סֶד לְאֻמִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
חַטָּֽאת׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 34 Righteousness exalts a nation; [2]
 
but a disgrace to a people [2]
is sin. [1]
35 רְֽצוֹן־מֶ֭לֶךְ [3] Dechi
לְעֶ֣בֶד מַשְׂכִּ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עֶבְרָת֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּהְיֶ֥ה מֵבִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 35 The favor of a king [3]
is toward a servant who acts wisely; [2]
 
but his wrath [2]
is toward one who causes shame. [1]
