1 אַל־תְּ֭קַנֵּא [3] Dechi
בְּאַנְשֵׁ֣י רָעָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תִּ֝תְאָ֗ו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִֽהְי֥וֹת אִתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Don’t be jealous [3]
of evil people; [2]
 
and don't desire [2]
to be with them, [1]
2 כִּי־שֹׁ֭ד [3] Dechi
יֶהְגֶּ֣ה לִבָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עָמָ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שִׂפְתֵיהֶ֥ם תְּדַבֵּֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 for violence [3]
their hearts plot; [2]
 
and trouble [2]
their lips speak. [1]
3 בְּ֭חׇכְמָה [3] Dechi
יִבָּ֣נֶה בָּ֑יִת [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בִתְבוּנָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְכּוֹנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 By wisdom [3]
a house is built; [2]
 
and by understanding [2]
it is established, [1]
4 וּ֭בְדַעַת [3] Dechi
חֲדָרִ֣ים יִמָּלְא֑וּ [2] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־ה֖וֹן יָקָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
וְנָעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 and by knowledge [3]
rooms are filled; [2]
 
with all treasure precious [2]
and beautiful. [1]
5 גֶּבֶר־חָכָ֥ם בַּע֑וֹז [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִֽישׁ־דַּ֝֗עַת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְאַמֶּץ־כֹּֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 5 A wise man has strength; [2]
 
and a person of knowledge [2]
increases strength, [1]
6 כִּ֣י בְ֭תַחְבֻּלוֹת [3] Dechi
תַּעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָ֣ מִלְחָמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝תְשׁוּעָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּרֹ֣ב יוֹעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 for by guidance [3]
you wage your war; [2]
 
and victory [2]
is in many advisors. [1]
7 רָאמ֣וֹת לֶאֱוִ֣יל [3] VDechi
חׇכְמ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
בַּ֝שַּׁ֗עַר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־פִּֽיהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Too high for a fool [3]
is wisdom; [2]
 
in the gate [2]
he doesn’t open his mouth. [1]
8 מְחַשֵּׁ֥ב לְהָרֵ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
ל֝֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּעַל־מְזִמּ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 One who plots to do evil; [2]
 
he [2]
will be called a schemer. [1]
9 זִמַּ֣ת אִוֶּ֣לֶת [3] VDechi
חַטָּ֑את [2] Etnachta
 
וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת לְאָדָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 A foolish plan [3]
is sin; [2]
 
and an abomination to man [2]
is a mocker. [1]
10 הִ֭תְרַפִּיתָ [3] Dechi
בְּי֥וֹם צָרָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i
צַ֣ר כֹּחֶֽכָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 10 If you lack courage [3]
in a day of trouble, [3/2]
narrow is your strength. [1]
11 הַ֭צֵּל [3] Dechi
לְקֻחִ֣ים לַמָּ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta
 
וּמָטִ֥ים לַ֝הֶ֗רֶג [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אִם־תַּחְשֽׂוֹךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Rescue [3]
those who are being taken away to death; [2]
 
and those who are staggering to the slaughter, [2]
if you hold back, [1]
12 כִּֽי־תֹאמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
הֵן֮ [3] Sinnor
לֹֽא־יָדַ֢עְנ֫וּ זֶ֥ה [2] Ole Veyored
 
הֲֽלֹא־תֹ֘כֵ֤ן לִבּ֨וֹת ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
הֽוּא־יָבִ֗ין [3] Revi'i
 
וְנֹצֵ֣ר נַ֭פְשְׁךָ [3] Dechi
ה֣וּא יֵדָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְהֵשִׁ֖יב לְאָדָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
כְּפׇעֳלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 3 4 3 2 12 if you say, [3]
“Behold, [3]
we didn’t know this,” [2]
 
does not the one who weighs hearts, [4]
he, does he perceive? [3]
 
And the one who keeps your soul, [3]
he, does he know? [2]
 
And shall he repay to a man [2]
according to his work? [1]
13 אֱכׇל־בְּנִ֣י דְבַ֣שׁ [3] VDechi
כִּי־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וְנֹ֥פֶת מָ֝ת֗וֹק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־חִכֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Eat honey O my son, [3]
for it is good; [2]
 
and honey is sweet [2]
on your palate, [1]
14 כֵּ֤ן ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
דְּעֶ֥ה חׇכְמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
לְנַ֫פְשֶׁ֥ךָ [2] Ole Veyored
 
אִם־מָ֭צָאתָ [3] Dechi
וְיֵ֣שׁ אַחֲרִ֑ית [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תִקְוָתְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א תִכָּרֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq

know wisdom [3]
for your soul; [2]
 
if you find it, [3]
then there is a future, [2]
 
and your hope [2]
it will not be cut off. [1]
15 אַל־תֶּאֱרֹ֣ב רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
לִנְוֵ֣ה צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
אַֽל־תְּשַׁדֵּ֥ד רִבְצֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 15 Do not lie in wait O wicked, [3]
against the habitation of the righteous; [2]
 
do not devastate his resting place, [1]
16 כִּ֤י שֶׁ֨בַע ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יִפּ֣וֹל צַדִּ֣יק [3] VDechi
וָקָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִכָּשְׁל֥וּ בְרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 16 for seven times [4]
the righteous will fall, [3]
and he will rise up again; [2]
 
but the wicked, [2]
they will stumble in trouble. [1]
17 בִּנְפֹ֣ל *אויביך **א֭וֹיִבְךָ [3] Dechi
אַל־תִּשְׂמָ֑ח [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בִכָּשְׁל֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־יָגֵ֥ל לִבֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 When your enemy falls [3]
do not rejoice; [2]
 
and when he stumbles [2]
don’t let your heart rejoice, [1]
18 פֶּן־יִרְאֶ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
וְרַ֣ע בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְהֵשִׁ֖יב מֵעָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
אַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 lest the LORD should see, [3]
and it be displeasing in his eyes; [2]
 
and he turn away from him [2]
his anger. [1]
19 אַל־תִּתְחַ֥ר בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
אַל־תְּ֝קַנֵּ֗א [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בָּֽרְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 19 Don’t fret yourself because of evildoers; [2]
 
do not be jealous [2]
of the wicked, [1]
20 כִּ֤י ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
לֹא־תִהְיֶ֣ה אַחֲרִ֣ית [3] VDechi
לָרָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
נֵ֖ר רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִדְעָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 20 for [4]
will not have a future [3]
the evil; [2]
 
the lamp of the wicked, [2]
it will be extinguished. [1]
21 יְרָא־אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּנִ֣י [3] VDechi
וָמֶ֑לֶךְ [2] Etnachta
 
עִם־שׁ֝וֹנִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־תִּתְעָרָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Fear the LORD O my son, [3]
and the king; [2]
 
with those who rebel [2]
do not get involved, [1]
22 כִּֽי־פִ֭תְאֹם [3] Dechi
יָק֣וּם אֵידָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥יד שְׁ֝נֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִ֣י יוֹדֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 22 for suddenly [3]
their calamity will arise; [2]
 
and the destruction that may come from them both, [2]
who knows? [1]
23 גַּם־אֵ֥לֶּה לַחֲכָמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
הַֽכֵּר־פָּנִ֖ים בְּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט [2] VRevMug
בַּל־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 23 These also belong to the wise; [2]
 
to show partiality in judgment [2]
is not good. [1]
24 אֹ֤מֵ֨ר ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
לְרָשָׁע֮ [3] Sinnor
צַדִּ֢יק אָ֥֫תָּה [2] Ole Veyored
 
יִקְּבֻ֥הוּ עַמִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
יִזְעָמ֥וּהוּ לְאֻמִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 24 One who says [4]
to the wicked, [3]
“You are righteous,” [2]
 
peoples will curse him, [2]
nations will denounce him, [1]
25 וְלַמּוֹכִיחִ֥ים יִנְעָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תָּב֥וֹא בִרְכַּת־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 25 but to those who rebuke (him) it will go well; [2]
 
and on them [2]
a rich blessing will come. [1]
26 שְׂפָתַ֥יִם יִשָּׁ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֝שִׁ֗יב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דְּבָרִ֥ים נְכֹחִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 26 He gives a kiss on the lips; [2]
 
the one who replies with [2]
a straight answer. [1]
27 הָ֘כֵ֤ן בַּח֨וּץ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
מְלַאכְתֶּ֗ךָ [3] Revi'i
 
וְעַתְּדָ֣הּ בַּשָּׂדֶ֣ה [3] VDechi
לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֝חַ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּבָנִ֥יתָ בֵיתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 4 3 2 27 Prepare outside [4]
your work, [3]
 
and make it ready in the field [3]
for you; [2]
 
Afterwards [2]
you will build your house. [1]
28 אַל־תְּהִ֣י עֵד־חִנָּ֣ם [3] VDechi
בְּרֵעֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝הֲפִתִּ֗יתָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּשְׂפָתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 Don’t be a witness without cause [3]
against your neighbor; [2]
 
for will you deceive [2]
with your lips? [1]
29 אַל־תֹּאמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָֽשָׂה־לִ֭י [3] Dechi
כֵּ֤ן אֶעֱשֶׂה־לּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אָשִׁ֖יב לָאִ֣ישׁ [2] VRevMug
כְּפׇעֳלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 3 2 29 Don’t say, [3]
“Just as he has done to me, [3]
so I will do to him; [2]
 
I will repay the person [2]
according to his deed.” [1]
30 עַל־שְׂדֵ֣ה אִישׁ־עָצֵ֣ל [3] VDechi
עָבַ֑רְתִּי [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַל־כֶּ֝֗רֶם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָדָ֥ם חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 At the field of a lazy person [3]
I passed by; [2]
 
and at the vineyard [2]
of a man lacking understanding, [1]
31 וְהִנֵּ֨ה עָ֘לָ֤ה כֻלּ֨וֹ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
קִמְּשֹׂנִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
כָּסּ֣וּ פָנָ֣יו [3] VDechi
חֲרֻלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְגֶ֖דֶר אֲבָנָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
נֶהֱרָֽסָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 31 And behold it was all overgrown with [4]
nettles, [3]
 
its surface was covered [3]
with weeds; [2]
 
and its stone wall, [2]
it was broken down. [1]
32 וָאֶחֱזֶ֣ה אָֽ֭נֹכִי [3] Dechi
אָשִׁ֣ית לִבִּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
רָ֝אִ֗יתִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָקַ֥חְתִּי מוּסָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 And I, I saw, [3]
I considered well; [2]
 
I saw, [2]
I received instruction, [1]
33 מְעַ֣ט שֵׁ֭נוֹת [3] Dechi
מְעַ֣ט תְּנוּמ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
מְעַ֓ט ׀ [2] ShalsheletG
חִבֻּ֖ק יָדַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
לִשְׁכָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 33 a little sleep, [3]
a little slumber; [2]
 
a little [2]
folding of the hands [2]
to rest, [1]
34 וּבָֽא־מִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ רֵישֶׁ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מַחְסֹרֶ֗יךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כְּאִ֣ישׁ מָגֵֽן׃ [1] Silluq

2 2 34 and your poverty will come as a robber; [2]
 
and your lack [2]
as an armed man. [1]
