1 אַל־תְּ֭קַנֵּא [3] Dechi בְּאַנְשֵׁ֣י רָעָ֑ה [2] Etnachta לִֽהְי֥וֹת אִתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Don’t be jealous [3] of evil people; [2] to be with them, [1] |

2 כִּי־שֹׁ֭ד [3] Dechi יֶהְגֶּ֣ה לִבָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta שִׂפְתֵיהֶ֥ם תְּדַבֵּֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 for violence [3] their hearts plot; [2] their lips speak. [1] |

3 בְּ֭חׇכְמָה [3] Dechi יִבָּ֣נֶה בָּ֑יִת [2] Etnachta יִתְכּוֹנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
3 By wisdom [3] a house is built; [2] it is established, [1] |
|||
4 וּ֭בְדַעַת [3] Dechi חֲדָרִ֣ים יִמָּלְא֑וּ [2] Etnachta וְנָעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
4 and by knowledge [3] rooms are filled; [2] and beautiful. [1] |

5 גֶּבֶר־חָכָ֥ם בַּע֑וֹז [2] Etnachta מְאַמֶּץ־כֹּֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq |
5 A wise man has strength; [2] increases strength, [1] |
|||
6 כִּ֣י בְ֭תַחְבֻּלוֹת [3] Dechi תַּעֲשֶׂה־לְּךָ֣ מִלְחָמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta בְּרֹ֣ב יוֹעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 for by guidance [3] you wage your war; [2] is in many advisors. [1] |

7 רָאמ֣וֹת לֶאֱוִ֣יל [3] VDechi חׇכְמ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־פִּֽיהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
7 Too high for a fool [3] is wisdom; [2] he doesn’t open his mouth. [1] |

8 מְחַשֵּׁ֥ב לְהָרֵ֑עַ [2] Etnachta בַּעַל־מְזִמּ֥וֹת יִקְרָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 One who plots to do evil; [2] will be called a schemer. [1] |

9 זִמַּ֣ת אִוֶּ֣לֶת [3] VDechi חַטָּ֑את [2] Etnachta לֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 A foolish plan [3] is sin; [2] is a mocker. [1] |

10 הִ֭תְרַפִּיתָ [3] Dechi בְּי֥וֹם צָרָ֗ה [3/2] Revi'i צַ֣ר כֹּחֶֽכָה׃ [1] Silluq |
10 If you lack courage [3] in a day of trouble, [3/2] narrow is your strength. [1] |

11 הַ֭צֵּל [3] Dechi לְקֻחִ֣ים לַמָּ֑וֶת [2] Etnachta אִם־תַּחְשֽׂוֹךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 Rescue [3] those who are being taken away to death; [2] if you hold back, [1] |

12 כִּֽי־תֹאמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i הֵן֮ [3] Sinnor לֹֽא־יָדַ֢עְנ֫וּ זֶ֥ה [2] Ole Veyored הֽוּא־יָבִ֗ין [3] Revi'i ה֣וּא יֵדָ֑ע [2] Etnachta כְּפׇעֳלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 if you say, [3] “Behold, [3] we didn’t know this,” [2] he, does he perceive? [3] he, does he know? [2] according to his work? [1] |

13 אֱכׇל־בְּנִ֣י דְבַ֣שׁ [3] VDechi כִּי־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta עַל־חִכֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 Eat honey O my son, [3] for it is good; [2] on your palate, [1] |

14 כֵּ֤ן ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh דְּעֶ֥ה חׇכְמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i לְנַ֫פְשֶׁ֥ךָ [2] Ole Veyored וְיֵ֣שׁ אַחֲרִ֑ית [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א תִכָּרֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq פ |
14 thus [4] know wisdom [3] for your soul; [2] then there is a future, [2] it will not be cut off. [1] ¶ |

15 אַל־תֶּאֱרֹ֣ב רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi לִנְוֵ֣ה צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta |
15 Do not lie in wait O wicked, [3] against the habitation of the righteous; [2] |
|||
16 כִּ֤י שֶׁ֨בַע ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh יִפּ֣וֹל צַדִּ֣יק [3] VDechi וָקָ֑ם [2] Etnachta יִכָּשְׁל֥וּ בְרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
16 for seven times [4] the righteous will fall, [3] and he will rise up again; [2] they will stumble in trouble. [1] |

17 בִּנְפֹ֣ל *אויביך **א֭וֹיִבְךָ [3] Dechi אַל־תִּשְׂמָ֑ח [2] Etnachta אַל־יָגֵ֥ל לִבֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
17 When your enemy falls [3] do not rejoice; [2] don’t let your heart rejoice, [1] |

18 פֶּן־יִרְאֶ֣ה יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi וְרַ֣ע בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta אַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 lest the LORD should see, [3] and it be displeasing in his eyes; [2] his anger. [1] |

19 אַל־תִּתְחַ֥ר בַּמְּרֵעִ֑ים [2] Etnachta בָּֽרְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Don’t fret yourself because of evildoers; [2] of the wicked, [1] |
|||
20 כִּ֤י ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh לֹא־תִהְיֶ֣ה אַחֲרִ֣ית [3] VDechi לָרָ֑ע [2] Etnachta יִדְעָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
20 for [4] will not have a future [3] the evil; [2] it will be extinguished. [1] |

21 יְרָא־אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה בְּנִ֣י [3] VDechi וָמֶ֑לֶךְ [2] Etnachta אַל־תִּתְעָרָֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
21 Fear the LORD O my son, [3] and the king; [2] do not get involved, [1] |

22 כִּֽי־פִ֭תְאֹם [3] Dechi יָק֣וּם אֵידָ֑ם [2] Etnachta מִ֣י יוֹדֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
22 for suddenly [3] their calamity will arise; [2] who knows? [1] ¶ |

23 גַּם־אֵ֥לֶּה לַחֲכָמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta בַּל־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq |
23 These also belong to the wise; [2] is not good. [1] |

24 אֹ֤מֵ֨ר ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh לְרָשָׁע֮ [3] Sinnor צַדִּ֢יק אָ֥֫תָּה [2] Ole Veyored יִזְעָמ֥וּהוּ לְאֻמִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
24 One who says [4] to the wicked, [3] “You are righteous,” [2] nations will denounce him, [1] |

25 וְלַמּוֹכִיחִ֥ים יִנְעָ֑ם [2] Etnachta תָּב֥וֹא בִרְכַּת־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq |
25 but to those who rebuke (him) it will go well; [2] a rich blessing will come. [1] |

26 שְׂפָתַ֥יִם יִשָּׁ֑ק [2] Etnachta דְּבָרִ֥ים נְכֹחִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
26 He gives a kiss on the lips; [2] a straight answer. [1] |

27 הָ֘כֵ֤ן בַּח֨וּץ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh מְלַאכְתֶּ֗ךָ [3] Revi'i לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta וּבָנִ֥יתָ בֵיתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
27 Prepare outside [4] your work, [3] for you; [2] you will build your house. [1] ¶ |

28 אַל־תְּהִ֣י עֵד־חִנָּ֣ם [3] VDechi בְּרֵעֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta בִּשְׂפָתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
28 Don’t be a witness without cause [3] against your neighbor; [2] with your lips? [1] |

29 אַל־תֹּאמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר עָֽשָׂה־לִ֭י [3] Dechi כֵּ֤ן אֶעֱשֶׂה־לּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta כְּפׇעֳלֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
29 Don’t say, [3] “Just as he has done to me, [3] so I will do to him; [2] according to his deed.” [1] ¶ |

30 עַל־שְׂדֵ֣ה אִישׁ־עָצֵ֣ל [3] VDechi עָבַ֑רְתִּי [2] Etnachta אָדָ֥ם חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
30 At the field of a lazy person [3] I passed by; [2] of a man lacking understanding, [1] |

31 וְהִנֵּ֨ה עָ֘לָ֤ה כֻלּ֨וֹ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh קִמְּשֹׂנִ֗ים [3] Revi'i חֲרֻלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta נֶהֱרָֽסָה׃ [1] Silluq |
31 And behold it was all overgrown with [4] nettles, [3] with weeds; [2] it was broken down. [1] |

32 וָאֶחֱזֶ֣ה אָֽ֭נֹכִי [3] Dechi אָשִׁ֣ית לִבִּ֑י [2] Etnachta לָקַ֥חְתִּי מוּסָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
32 And I, I saw, [3] I considered well; [2] I received instruction, [1] |

33 מְעַ֣ט שֵׁ֭נוֹת [3] Dechi מְעַ֣ט תְּנוּמ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta חִבֻּ֖ק יָדַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug לִשְׁכָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
33 a little sleep, [3] a little slumber; [2] folding of the hands [2] to rest, [1] |

34 וּבָֽא־מִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ רֵישֶׁ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta כְּאִ֣ישׁ מָגֵֽן׃ [1] Silluq פ |
34 and your poverty will come as a robber; [2] as an armed man. [1] ¶ |
