1 נָ֣סוּ וְאֵין־רֹדֵ֣ף [3] VDechi רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta כִּכְפִ֥יר יִבְטָֽח׃ [1] Silluq |
1 They flee when no one is pursuing, [3] the wicked; [2] are as bold as a lion. [1] |

2 בְּפֶ֣שַֽׁע אֶ֭רֶץ [3] Dechi רַבִּ֣ים שָׂרֶ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta כֵּ֣ן יַאֲרִֽיךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 By the rebellion of a land [3] many are its rulers; [2] it will endure. [1] |

3 גֶּֽבֶר־רָ֭שׁ [3] Dechi וְעֹשֵׁ֣ק דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta וְאֵ֣ין לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq |
3 A needy man [3] who oppresses the poor; [2] which leaves no food. [1] |

4 עֹזְבֵ֣י ת֭וֹרָה [3] Dechi יְהַלְל֣וּ רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta יִתְגָּ֥רוּ בָֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
4 Those who forsake the Torah, [3] they praise the wicked; [2] they contend with them. [1] ¶ |

5 אַנְשֵׁי־רָ֭ע [3] Dechi לֹא־יָבִ֣ינוּ מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta יָבִ֥ינוּ כֹֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
5 Evil men, [3] they don’t understand justice; [2] they understand it all. [1] |

6 Better is the poor [3] who walks in his integrity; [2] and he is rich. [1] |

7 One who keeps the Torah [3] is a son with understanding; [2] he shames his father. [1] |

8 One who increases his wealth [3] by excessive interest; [2] he gathers it. [1] |

9 One who turns away his ear [3] from hearing the Torah; [2] is an abomination. [1] |

10 One who leads astray the upright [4] in an evil way, [3] into his own pit he, he will fall; [2] they will inherit good. [1] ¶ |

11 Wise in his own eyes [3] is a rich person; [2] sees through him. [1] |

12 When the righteous triumph [3] there is great glory; [2] people hide themselves. [1] |

13 One who conceals his sins, [3] he will not prosper; [2] he will find mercy. [1] |

14 אַשְׁרֵ֣י אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi מְפַחֵ֣ד תָּמִ֑יד [2] Etnachta יִפּ֥וֹל בְּרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 How blessed is one [3] who always fears; [2] he will fall into trouble. [1] |

15 Like a roaring lion [3] or a charging bear; [2] over helpless people. [1] |

16 נָגִ֗יד [3] Revi'i חֲסַ֣ר תְּ֭בוּנוֹת [3] Dechi וְרַ֥ב מַעֲשַׁקּ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta יַאֲרִ֥יךְ יָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq פ |
16 A ruler [3] who lacks understanding [3] is also a great oppressor. [2] he will prolong his days. [1] ¶ |

17 A man [3] burdened by a person's blood; [2] let no one support him. [1] |

18 One who walks blamelessly, [3] he will be delivered; [2] he will fall suddenly. [1] |

19 One who works his land, [3] he will be satisfied with food; [2] will have his fill of poverty. [1] |

20 A faithful man [3] will abound with blessings; [2] he will not go unpunished. [1] |

21 הַֽכֵּר־פָּנִ֥ים לֹא־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta יִפְשַׁע־גָּֽבֶר׃ [1] Silluq |
21 To show partiality is not good; [2] a man will do wrong. [1] |

22 Hastening to wealth [3] is a person [3] of evil eye; [2] that poverty will come to him. [1] |

23 One who rebukes a man, afterwards [3] he will find favor; [2] |

24 One who robs [4] his father or his mother [3] and says, “It’s not wrong,” [2] to a destroyer. [1] |

25 רְחַב־נֶ֭פֶשׁ [3] Dechi יְגָרֶ֣ה מָד֑וֹן [2] Etnachta יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃ [1] Silluq |
25 One with a proud soul, [3] he stirs up strife; [2] he will prosper. [1] |

26 בּוֹטֵ֣חַ בְּ֭לִבּוֹ [3] Dechi ה֣וּא כְסִ֑יל [2] Etnachta ה֣וּא יִמָּלֵֽט׃ [1] Silluq |
26 One who trusts in his own heart, [3] he is a fool; [2] he, he will be delivered. [1] |

27 נוֹתֵ֣ן לָ֭רָשׁ [3] Dechi אֵ֣ין מַחְס֑וֹר [2] Etnachta רַב־מְאֵרֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
27 One who gives to the poor [3] has no lack; [2] will have many curses. [1] |
