1 אִ֣ישׁ תּ֭וֹכָחוֹת [3] Dechi
מַקְשֶׁה־עֹ֑רֶף [2] Etnachta
 
פֶּ֥תַע יִ֝שָּׁבֵ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַרְפֵּֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 He who is often reproved [3]
yet stiffens his neck; [2]
 
he will suddenly be broken, [2]
and with no remedy. [1]
2 בִּרְב֣וֹת צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
יִשְׂמַ֣ח הָעָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּבִמְשֹׁ֥ל רָ֝שָׁ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יֵאָ֥נַֽח עָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 When the righteous increase, [3]
the people rejoice; [2]
 
but when the wicked rule, [2]
the people groan. [1]
3 אִישׁ־אֹהֵ֣ב חׇ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi
יְשַׂמַּ֣ח אָבִ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְרֹעֶ֥ה ז֝וֹנ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְאַבֶּד־הֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 A person who loves wisdom, [3]
he brings joy to his father; [2]
 
but a companion of prostitutes, [2]
he squanders wealth. [1]
4 מֶ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
בְּ֭מִשְׁפָּט [3] Dechi
יַעֲמִ֣יד אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֖ישׁ תְּרוּמ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
יֶהֶרְסֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 4 A king, [3]
by justice [3]
he establishes a land; [2]
 
but a person who takes bribes, [2]
he tears it down. [1]
5 גֶּ֭בֶר [3] Dechi
מַחֲלִ֣יק עַל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
רֶ֝֗שֶׁת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פּוֹרֵ֥שׂ עַל־פְּעָמָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 A man [3]
who flatters his neighbor; [2]
 
a net [2]
is spreading for his feet. [1]
6 בְּפֶ֤שַֽׁע אִ֣ישׁ רָ֣ע [3] VDechi
מוֹקֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָר֥וּן וְשָׂמֵֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 In the transgression of an evil person [3]
is a snare; [2]
 
but the righteous, [2]
he sings and he rejoices. [1]
7 יֹדֵ֣עַ צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
דִּ֣ין דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
רָ֝שָׁ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־יָבִ֥ין דָּֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The righteous knows [3]
the needs of the poor; [2]
 
the wicked [2]
doesn't understand such knowledge. [1]
8 אַנְשֵׁ֣י לָ֭צוֹן [3] Dechi
יָפִ֣יחוּ קִרְיָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝חֲכָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָשִׁ֥יבוּ אָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Mockers, [3]
they stir up a city; [2]
 
but the wise, [2]
they turn away anger. [1]
9 אִֽישׁ־חָכָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
נִ֭שְׁפָּט [3] Dechi
אֶת־אִ֣ישׁ אֱוִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְרָגַ֥ז וְ֝שָׂחַ֗ק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין נָֽחַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 9 If a wise man [3]
goes to court [3]
with a foolish man; [2]
 
he rages or he laughs, [2]
and there is no rest. [1]
10 אַנְשֵׁ֣י דָ֭מִים [3] Dechi
יִשְׂנְאוּ־תָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וִ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְבַקְשׁ֥וּ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 Bloodthirsty people, [3]
they hate a man of integrity; [2]
 
and the upright, [2]
they seek his soul. [1]
11 כׇּל־ר֭וּחוֹ [3] Dechi
יוֹצִ֣יא כְסִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝חָכָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּאָח֥וֹר יְשַׁבְּחֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 All his spirit [3]
a fool brings forth; [2]
 
but the wise [2]
holds it back. [1]
12 מֹ֭שֵׁל [3] Dechi
מַקְשִׁ֣יב עַל־דְּבַר־שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
כׇּֽל־מְשָׁרְתָ֥יו רְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 12 If a ruler [3]
listens to lies; [2]
 
all his servants will be wicked. [1]
13 רָ֤שׁ וְאִ֣ישׁ תְּכָכִ֣ים [3] VDechi
נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֤אִיר עֵינֵ֖י שְׁנֵיהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 The poor man and the oppressor, [3]
they have this in common; [2]
 
(he) gives light to the eyes of them both, [2]
the LORD. [1]
14 מֶ֤לֶךְ שׁוֹפֵ֣ט בֶּאֱמֶ֣ת [3] VDechi
דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֝סְא֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָעַ֥ד יִכּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 The king who fairly judges [3]
the poor; [2]
 
his throne [2]
shall forever be established. [1]
15 שֵׁ֣בֶט וְ֭תוֹכַחַת [3] Dechi
יִתֵּ֣ן חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְנַ֥עַר מְ֝שֻׁלָּ֗ח [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵבִ֥ישׁ אִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 A rod and reproof, [3]
it gives wisdom; [2]
 
but a child left to himself [2]
disgraces his mother. [1]
16 בִּרְב֣וֹת רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
יִרְבֶּה־פָּ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּיקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּֽמַפַּלְתָּ֥ם יִרְאֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 When the wicked increase, [3]
transgression increases; [2]
 
but the righteous, [2]
they will see their downfall. [1]
17 יַסֵּ֣ר בִּ֭נְךָ [3] Dechi
וִינִיחֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִתֵּ֖ן מַעֲדַנִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 17 Discipline your son, [3]
and he will give you rest; [2]
 
and he will bring delight [2]
to your soul. [1]
18 בְּאֵ֣ין חָ֭זוֹן [3] Dechi
יִפָּ֣רַֽע עָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁמֵ֖ר תּוֹרָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
אַשְׁרֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 When there is no revelation, [3]
the people cast off restraint; [2]
 
but one who keeps the Torah, [2]
how blessed is he. [1]
19 בִּ֭דְבָרִים [3] Dechi
לֹא־יִוָּ֣סֶר עָ֑בֶד [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יָ֝בִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַעֲנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 By words [3]
a servant won’t let himself be instructed; [2]
 
for he will understand, [2]
but not answer. [1]
20 חָזִ֗יתָ [3] Revi'i
אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
אָ֣ץ בִּדְבָרָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
תִּקְוָ֖ה לִכְסִ֣יל [2] VRevMug
מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 20 Do you see [3]
someone [3]
who is hasty in his words? [2]
 
There is more hope for a fool [2]
than for him. [1]
21 מְפַנֵּ֣ק מִנֹּ֣עַר [3] VDechi
עַבְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַחֲרִית֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִהְיֶ֥ה מָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 If someone pampers from childhood [3]
his slave; [2]
 
in the end [2]
it will be trouble. [1]
22 אִֽישׁ־אַ֭ף [3] Dechi
יְגָרֶ֣ה מָד֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּבַ֖עַל חֵמָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
רַב־פָּֽשַׁע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 An angry person, [3]
he stirs up strife; [2]
 
and one mastered by wrath [2]
abounds in transgression. [1]
23 גַּאֲוַ֣ת אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
תַּשְׁפִּילֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּשְׁפַל־ר֝֗וּחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְמֹ֥ךְ כָּבֽוֹד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 A man’s pride, [3]
it will bring him low; [2]
 
but the humble of spirit, [2]
he will gain honor. [1]
24 חוֹלֵ֣ק עִם־גַּ֭נָּב [3] Dechi
שׂוֹנֵ֣א נַפְשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אָלָ֥ה יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יַגִּֽיד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 Whoever is partner with a thief [3]
is an enemy of his own soul; [2]
 
An oath he hears, [2]
but he discloses nothing. [1]
25 חֶרְדַּ֣ת אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
יִתֵּ֣ן מוֹקֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבוֹטֵ֖חַ בַּיהֹוָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
יְשֻׂגָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 Fear of man [3]
will prove to be a snare; [2]
 
but one who trusts in the LORD, [2]
he will be kept safe. [1]
26 רַ֭בִּים [3] Dechi
מְבַקְשִׁ֣ים פְּנֵֽי־מוֹשֵׁ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מֵיְהֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׁפַּט־אִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 Many [3]
seek the face of a ruler; [2]
 
but from the LORD [2]
is a man's justice. [1]
27 תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
אִ֣ישׁ עָ֑וֶל [2] Etnachta
 
וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
יְשַׁר־דָּֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 27 An abomination to the righteous [3]
is an unjust man; [2]
 
but an abomination to the wicked [2]
is the upright of way. [1]
