נְאֻ֣ם הַ֭גֶּבֶר [3] Dechi
לְאִֽיתִיאֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
לְאִ֖יתִיאֵ֣ל [2] VRevMug
וְאֻכָֽל׃ [1] Silluq

the oracle; [2]

2 כִּ֤י בַ֣עַר אָנֹכִ֣י [3] VDechi
מֵאִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־בִינַ֖ת אָדָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “Surely ignorant am I [3]
more than anyone; [2]
 
and not the understanding of a man [2]

3 וְלֹֽא־לָמַ֥דְתִּי חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְדַ֖עַת קְדֹשִׁ֣ים [2] VRevMug

or knowledge of the Holy One [2]

מִ֤י צָֽרַר־מַ֨יִם ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בַּשִּׂמְלָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
מִ֭י [3] Dechi
הֵקִ֣ים כׇּל־אַפְסֵי־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
מַה־שְּׁמ֥וֹ וּמַֽה־שֶּׁם־בְּ֝נ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּ֣י תֵדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq

and has descended? [4]
Who has gathered the wind [4]
in the hollow of his hands? [4]
Who has wrapped the waters [4]
in (his) cloak? [3]

What is his name, and what is the name of his son, [2]

5 כׇּל־אִמְרַ֣ת אֱל֣וֹהַּ [3] VDechi
צְרוּפָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
מָגֵ֥ן ה֝֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לַחֹסִ֥ים בּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

is refined; [2]
 
he is a shield [2]
for those who take refuge in him. [1]
6 אַל־תּ֥וֹסְףְּ עַל־דְּבָרָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־יוֹכִ֖יחַ בְּךָ֣ [2] VRevMug
וְנִכְזָֽבְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq

2 2 6 Do not add to his words; [2]
 
lest he rebuke you, [2]
and you be found a liar. [1]
7 שְׁ֭תַּיִם [3] Dechi
שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי מֵאִתָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
אַל־תִּמְנַ֥ע מִ֝מֶּ֗נִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּטֶ֣רֶם אָמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq

I ask from you; [2]
 
Do not deny me [2]
before I die. [1]
8 שָׁ֤וְא ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
וּֽדְבַר־כָּזָ֡ב [4] Pazer
הַרְחֵ֬ק מִמֶּ֗נִּי [3] Revi'i
 
רֵ֣אשׁ וָ֭עֹשֶׁר [3] Dechi
אַל־תִּֽתֶּן־לִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
הַ֝טְרִיפֵ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֶ֣חֶם חֻקִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq

and a word of falsehood [4]
put far away from me, [3]
 
poverty or wealth [3]
do not give to me; [2]
 
let me eat [2]
the food alotted to me, [1]
9 פֶּ֥ן אֶשְׂבַּ֨ע ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
וְכִחַשְׁתִּי֮ [3] Sinnor
 
וְאָמַ֗רְתִּי [3] Revi'i
מִ֥י יְ֫הֹוָ֥ה [2] Ole Veyored
 
וּפֶֽן־אִוָּרֵ֥שׁ וְגָנַ֑בְתִּי [2] Etnachta
וְ֝תָפַ֗שְׂתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שֵׁ֣ם אֱלֹהָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

and I deny, [3]
 
and I say, [3]
‘Who is the LORD?’ [2]
 
or lest I become impoverished and I steal, [2]
and so I dishonor [2]
the name of my God. [1]
10 אַל־תַּלְשֵׁ֣ן עֶ֭בֶד [3] Dechi
אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֑ו [2] Etnachta
 
פֶּֽן־יְקַלֶּלְךָ֥ וְאָשָֽׁמְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 10 “Do not slander a servant [3]
to his master; [2]
 
lest he curse you and you be held guilty. [1]
11 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi
אָבִ֣יו יְקַלֵּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־אִ֝מּ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יְבָרֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 A generation, [3]
it curses its father; [2]
 
and its mother [2]
it doesn’t bless. [1]
12 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi
טָה֣וֹר בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מִצֹּאָת֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א רֻחָֽץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 A generation [3]
is pure in its own eyes; [2]
 
yet from its filthiness [2]
it has not been washed. [1]
13 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi
מָה־רָמ֣וּ עֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עַפְעַפָּ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִנָּשֵֽׂאוּ׃ [1] Silluq

how lofty it is in its eyes; [2]
 
and its eyelids, [2]
they are lifted up. [1]
14 דּ֤וֹר ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
חֲרָב֣וֹת שִׁנָּיו֮ [3] Sinnor
וּֽמַאֲכָל֢וֹת מְֽתַלְּעֹ֫תָ֥יו [2] Ole Veyored
 
לֶאֱכֹ֣ל עֲנִיִּ֣ים [3] VDechi
מֵאֶ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֶבְיוֹנִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

swords are its teeth, [3]
and knives are its fangs; [2]
 
to devour the afflicted [3]
from the earth, [2]
 
and the needy [2]
from among men. [1]
15 לַ֥עֲלוּקָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
שְׁתֵּ֥י בָנוֹת֮ [3] Sinnor
הַ֤ב ׀ הַ֥֫ב [2] Ole Veyored
 
שָׁל֣וֹשׁ הֵ֭נָּה [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א תִשְׂבַּ֑עְנָה [2] Etnachta
 
אַ֝רְבַּ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־אָ֥מְרוּ הֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

two daughters, [3]
‘Give, give.’ [2]
 
“Three things are they [3]
which not are they satisfied, [2]
 
four [2]
which not do they say, ‘Enough,’ [1]
16 שְׁאוֹל֮ [3] Sinnor
וְעֹ֢צֶ֫ר רָ֥חַם [2] Ole Veyored
 
אֶ֭רֶץ [3] Dechi
לֹא־שָׂ֣בְעָה מַּ֑יִם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֵ֗שׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־אָ֥מְרָה הֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

and barrenness of a womb; [2]
 
land [3]
that isn't satisfied with water, [2]
 
and fire [2]
that doesn’t say, ‘Enough.’ [1]
17 עַ֤יִן ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
תִּ֥לְעַ֣ג לְאָב֮ [3] Sinnor
וְתָבֻ֢ז לִֽיקְּהַ֫ת־אֵ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored
 
יִקְּר֥וּהָ עֹֽרְבֵי־נַ֑חַל [2] Etnachta
וְֽיֹאכְל֥וּהָ בְנֵי־נָֽשֶׁר׃ [1] Silluq

that mocks a father, [3]
and that scorns obedience to a mother; [2]
 
the ravens of the valley shall peck it out, [2]
and the young of an eagle shall eat it. [1]
18 שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה הֵ֭מָּה [3] Dechi
נִפְלְא֣וּ מִמֶּ֑נִּי [2] Etnachta
 
*וארבע **וְ֝אַרְבָּעָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יְדַעְתִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 “Three things are they [3]
which are too wonderful for me; [2]
 
and four [2]
which I don’t understand, [1]
19 דֶּ֤רֶךְ הַנֶּ֨שֶׁר ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בַּשָּׁמַיִם֮ [3] Sinnor
 
דֶּ֥רֶךְ נָחָ֗שׁ [3] Revi'i
עֲלֵ֫י־צ֥וּר [2] Ole Veyored
 
דֶּֽרֶךְ־אֳנִיָּ֥ה בְלֶב־יָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
וְדֶ֖רֶךְ גֶּ֣בֶר [2] VRevMug
בְּעַלְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

in the heavens, [3]
 
the way of a snake [3]
on a rock; [2]
 
the way of a ship in the heart of the sea, [2]
and the way of a man [2]
with a maiden. [1]

דֶּ֥רֶךְ אִשָּׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
מְנָ֫אָ֥פֶת [2] Ole Veyored
 
אָ֭כְלָה [3] Dechi
וּמָ֣חֲתָה פִ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אָמְרָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־פָעַ֥לְתִּי אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq

is the way of a woman, [3]
adulterous; [2]
 
she eats [3]
and she wipes clean her mouth, [2]
 
and she says, [2]
‘I have not done anything wicked.’ [1]
21 תַּ֣חַת שָׁ֭לוֹשׁ [3] Dechi
רָ֣גְזָה אֶ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְתַ֥חַת אַ֝רְבַּ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־תוּכַ֥ל שְׂאֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 “Under three things [3]
the earth quakes; [2]
 
and under four [2]
it can’t bear up, [1]
22 תַּֽחַת־עֶ֭בֶד [3] Dechi
כִּ֣י יִמְל֑וֹךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נָבָ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּ֣י יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Under a servant [3]
when he is king; [2]
 
and a fool [2]
when he is satisfied with food, [1]
23 תַּ֣חַת שְׂ֭נוּאָה [3] Dechi
כִּ֣י תִבָּעֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝שִׁפְחָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־תִירַ֥שׁ גְּבִרְתָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 23 under an unloved woman [3]
when she is married; [2]
 
and a servant [2]
who is heir to her mistress. [1]
24 אַרְבָּ֣עָה הֵ֭ם [3] Dechi
קְטַנֵּי־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝הֵ֗מָּה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חֲכָמִ֥ים מְחֻכָּמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 “Four things are they [3]
which are small on the earth; [2]
 
but they [2]
are very wise, [1]
25 הַ֭נְּמָלִים [3] Dechi
עַ֣ם לֹא־עָ֑ז [2] Etnachta
 
וַיָּכִ֖ינוּ בַקַּ֣יִץ [2] VRevMug
לַחְמָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 The ants [3]
are not a strong people; [2]
 
yet they prepare in the summer [2]
their food. [1]
26 שְׁ֭פַנִּים [3] Dechi
עַ֣ם לֹא־עָצ֑וּם [2] Etnachta
 
וַיָּשִׂ֖ימוּ בַסֶּ֣לַע [2] VRevMug
בֵּיתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 Rock badgers [3]
are not a mighty people; [2]
 
yet they make in the rocks [2]
their home. [1]
27 מֶ֭לֶךְ [3] Dechi
אֵ֣ין לָאַרְבֶּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵ֖א חֹצֵ֣ץ [2] VRevMug
כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

the locust doesn't have; [2]
 
yet they go forth in ranks [2]
all together. [1]
28 שְׂ֭מָמִית [3] Dechi
בְּיָדַ֣יִם תְּתַפֵּ֑שׂ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝הִ֗יא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּהֵ֣יכְלֵי מֶֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

in two hands you can catch; [2]
 
yet it [2]
is in the palaces of a king. [1]
29 שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה הֵ֭מָּה [3] Dechi
מֵיטִ֣יבֵי צָ֑עַד [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַרְבָּעָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵיטִ֥בֵי לָֽכֶת׃ [1] Silluq

which are stately in their march; [2]
 
and four [2]
which are stately in going, [1]
30 לַ֭יִשׁ [3] Dechi
גִּבּ֣וֹר בַּבְּהֵמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־יָ֝שׁ֗וּב [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִפְּנֵי־כֹֽל׃ [1] Silluq

is mightiest among the animals; [2]
 
and it doesn’t turn back [2]
from anything, [1]
31 זַרְזִ֣יר מׇתְנַ֣יִם [3] VDechi
אוֹ־תָ֑יִשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מֶ֗לֶךְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַלְק֥וּם עִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 A strutting rooster, [3]
and a male goat; [2]
 
and a king [2]
with his army. [1]
32 אִם־נָבַ֥לְתָּ בְהִתְנַשֵּׂ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִם־זַ֝מּ֗וֹתָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָ֣ד לְפֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 32 “If you have been foolish by lifting yourself up; [2]
 
or if you have planned evil, [2]
put your hand over your mouth. [1]
33 כִּ֤י מִ֪יץ חָלָ֡ב [4] Pazer
י֘וֹצִ֤יא חֶמְאָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּֽמִיץ־אַ֭ף [3] Dechi
י֣וֹצִיא דָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּמִ֥יץ אַ֝פַּ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
י֣וֹצִיא רִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq

it produces curds, [3]
 
and squeezing of a nose [3]
it produces blood; [2]
 
and squeezing of anger, [2]
