1 The words [4] of Agur the son of Jakeh, [3] the oracle; [2] to Ithiel, [2] and Ucal, [1] |

2 כִּ֤י בַ֣עַר אָנֹכִ֣י [3] VDechi מֵאִ֑ישׁ [2] Etnachta לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
2 “Surely ignorant am I [3] more than anyone; [2] do I have. [1] |

3 וְלֹֽא־לָמַ֥דְתִּי חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta אֵדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq |
3 For not have I learned wisdom; [2] do I know. [1] |

4 מִ֤י עָלָֽה־שָׁמַ֨יִם ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh וַיֵּרַ֡ד [4] Pazer מִ֤י אָֽסַף־ר֨וּחַ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh בְּחׇפְנָ֡יו [4] Pazer מִ֤י צָֽרַר־מַ֨יִם ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh בַּשִּׂמְלָ֗ה [3] Revi'i הֵקִ֣ים כׇּל־אַפְסֵי־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta כִּ֣י תֵדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq |
4 Who has ascended up into heaven, [4] and has descended? [4] Who has gathered the wind [4] in the hollow of his hands? [4] Who has wrapped the waters [4] in (his) cloak? [3] has established all the ends of the earth? [2] if you know? [1] |

5 “Every word of God [3] is refined; [2] for those who take refuge in him. [1] |

6 אַל־תּ֥וֹסְףְּ עַל־דְּבָרָ֑יו [2] Etnachta וְנִכְזָֽבְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
6 Do not add to his words; [2] and you be found a liar. [1] ¶ |

7 שְׁ֭תַּיִם [3] Dechi שָׁאַ֣לְתִּי מֵאִתָּ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta בְּטֶ֣רֶם אָמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq |
7 “Two things [3] I ask from you; [2] before I die. [1] |

8 Deceitfulness [4] and a word of falsehood [4] put far away from me, [3] do not give to me; [2] the food alotted to me, [1] |

9 lest I be satisfied [4] and I deny, [3] ‘Who is the LORD?’ [2] and so I dishonor [2] the name of my God. [1] ¶ |

10 “Do not slander a servant [3] to his master; [2] |

11 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi אָבִ֣יו יְקַלֵּ֑ל [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א יְבָרֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 A generation, [3] it curses its father; [2] it doesn’t bless. [1] |

12 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi טָה֣וֹר בְּעֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta לֹ֣א רֻחָֽץ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 A generation [3] is pure in its own eyes; [2] it has not been washed. [1] |

13 דּ֭וֹר [3] Dechi מָה־רָמ֣וּ עֵינָ֑יו [2] Etnachta יִנָּשֵֽׂאוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 A generation, [3] how lofty it is in its eyes; [2] they are lifted up. [1] |

14 A generation, [4] swords are its teeth, [3] and knives are its fangs; [2] from the earth, [2] from among men. [1] ¶ |

15 “The leech has [4] two daughters, [3] ‘Give, give.’ [2] which not are they satisfied, [2] which not do they say, ‘Enough,’ [1] |

16 Sheol, [3] and barrenness of a womb; [2] that isn't satisfied with water, [2] that doesn’t say, ‘Enough.’ [1] |

17 “An eye [4] that mocks a father, [3] and that scorns obedience to a mother; [2] and the young of an eagle shall eat it. [1] ¶ |

18 “Three things are they [3] which are too wonderful for me; [2] which I don’t understand, [1] |

19 The way of the eagle [4] in the heavens, [3] on a rock; [2] and the way of a man [2] with a maiden. [1] |

20 “So [4] is the way of a woman, [3] adulterous; [2] and she wipes clean her mouth, [2] ‘I have not done anything wicked.’ [1] ¶ |

21 “Under three things [3] the earth quakes; [2] it can’t bear up, [1] |

22 תַּֽחַת־עֶ֭בֶד [3] Dechi כִּ֣י יִמְל֑וֹךְ [2] Etnachta כִּ֣י יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq |
22 Under a servant [3] when he is king; [2] when he is satisfied with food, [1] |

23 תַּ֣חַת שְׂ֭נוּאָה [3] Dechi כִּ֣י תִבָּעֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta כִּֽי־תִירַ֥שׁ גְּבִרְתָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
23 under an unloved woman [3] when she is married; [2] who is heir to her mistress. [1] ¶ |

24 “Four things are they [3] which are small on the earth; [2] are very wise, [1] |

25 The ants [3] are not a strong people; [2] their food. [1] |

26 Rock badgers [3] are not a mighty people; [2] their home. [1] |

27 A king [3] the locust doesn't have; [2] all together. [1] |

28 A lizard [3] in two hands you can catch; [2] is in the palaces of a king. [1] ¶ |

30 A lion [3] is mightiest among the animals; [2] from anything, [1] |

31 A strutting rooster, [3] and a male goat; [2] with his army. [1] |

32 אִם־נָבַ֥לְתָּ בְהִתְנַשֵּׂ֑א [2] Etnachta יָ֣ד לְפֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
32 “If you have been foolish by lifting yourself up; [2] put your hand over your mouth. [1] |

33 כִּ֤י מִ֪יץ חָלָ֡ב [4] Pazer י֘וֹצִ֤יא חֶמְאָ֗ה [3] Revi'i י֣וֹצִיא דָ֑ם [2] Etnachta י֣וֹצִיא רִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq פ |
33 For squeezing of milk, [4] it produces curds, [3] it produces blood; [2] it produces strife.” [1] ¶ |
