A Song of the Ascents, [3] of Solomon. [2] he does not build a house, [3] in it. [2] in vain [4/2] the watchman has stayed awake. [1] |

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, [4] to stay up late, [3] the bread of hard labor; [2] sleep. [1] |

3 Behold, the inheritance of the LORD [3] is children; [2] is the fruit of the womb. [1] |

4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior; [2] are the children of youth. [1] |
