2 3 1 Praise the LORD, [4/3]
praise O my soul, [2]

2 אֲהַלְלָ֣ה יְהֹוָ֣ה [3] VDechi
בְּחַיָּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
אֲזַמְּרָ֖ה לֵאלֹהַ֣י [2] VRevMug
בְּעוֹדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 I will praise the LORD [3]
while I live; [2]
 
I will sing praises to my God [2]
as long as I exist. [1]
3 אַל־תִּבְטְח֥וּ בִנְדִיבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
בְּבֶן־אָדָ֓ם ׀ [2] ShalsheletG
שֶׁ֤אֵ֖ין ל֥וֹ תְשׁוּעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 3 Do not trust in princes; [2]
 
in a son of man [2]
in whom there is no deliverance. [1]
4 תֵּצֵ֣א ר֭וּחוֹ [3] Dechi
יָשֻׁ֣ב לְאַדְמָת֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
בַּיּ֥וֹם הַ֝ה֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָבְד֥וּ עֶשְׁתֹּֽנֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 His spirit will depart, [3]
he will return to his dust; [2]
 
on that day, [2]
his plans have perished. [1]

שֶׁ֤אֵ֣ל יַעֲקֹ֣ב [3] VDechi
בְּעֶזְר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
שִׂ֝בְר֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

is the one for whom the God of Jacob [3]
is his help; [2]
 
his hope [2]
is in the LORD his God, [1]

אֶת־הַיָּ֥ם וְאֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
הַשֹּׁמֵ֖ר אֱמֶ֣ת [2] VRevMug
לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

heaven and earth, [3]
the sea and all that is in them; [2]
 
who keeps faithfulness [2]
forever, [1]

נֹתֵ֣ן לֶ֭חֶם [3] Dechi
לָרְעֵבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַתִּ֥יר אֲסוּרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

for the oppressed, [3]
 
who gives food [3]
to the hungry; [2]
 
the LORD, [2]
setting prisoners free. [1]

יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
זֹקֵ֣ף כְּפוּפִ֑ים [2] Etnachta

אֹהֵ֥ב צַדִּיקִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

opens (the eyes) of the blind. [3]

raises up those who are bowed down; [2]
 
The LORD [2]
loves the righteous. [1]

שֹׁ֘מֵ֤ר אֶת־גֵּרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
יָת֣וֹם וְאַלְמָנָ֣ה [3] VDechi
יְעוֹדֵ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
וְדֶ֖רֶךְ רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יְעַוֵּֽת׃ [1] Silluq

watches over the sojourners, [3]
 
the fatherless and widows [3]
he upholds; [2]
 
but the way of the wicked [2]
he makes crooked. [1]
10 יִמְלֹ֤ךְ יְהֹוָ֨ה ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
לְעוֹלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
אֱלֹהַ֣יִךְ צִ֭יּוֹן [3] Dechi
לְדֹ֥ר וָדֹ֗ר [3/2] Revi'i
 
הַֽלְלוּ־יָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

forever, [3]
