1 לַמְנַצֵּ֤חַ ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
עַל־י֬וֹנַת אֵ֣לֶם רְ֭חֹקִים [3] Dechi
לְדָוִ֣ד מִכְתָּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
בֶּאֱחֹ֨ז אוֹת֖וֹ [2] VRevMug
פְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים בְּגַֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 To the choirmaster, [4]
to the tune of “Silent Dove in Distant Lands,” [3]

2 חׇנֵּ֣נִי אֱ֭לֹהִים [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־שְׁאָפַ֣נִי אֱנ֑וֹשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־הַ֝יּ֗וֹם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹחֵ֥ם יִלְחָצֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 Be merciful to me O God, [3]
for man has trampled on me; [2]
 
all the day [2]
the attacker oppresses me. [1]
3 שָׁאֲפ֣וּ שׁ֭וֹרְרַי [3] Dechi
כׇּל־הַיּ֑וֹם [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־רַבִּ֨ים לֹחֲמִ֖ים [2] VRevMug
לִ֣י מָרֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

all the day; [2]
 
for many are fighting [2]
against me arrogantly. [1]
4 י֥וֹם אִירָ֑א [2] Etnachta

אֵלֶ֥יךָ אֶבְטָֽח׃ [1] Silluq

in you I will trust. [1]
5 בֵּאלֹהִים֮ [3] Sinnor
אֲהַלֵּ֢ל דְּבָ֫ר֥וֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
בֵּאלֹהִ֣ים בָּ֭טַחְתִּי [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א אִירָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
מַה־יַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה בָשָׂ֣ר [2] VRevMug
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

I praise his word; [2]
 
in God I trust, [3]
I am not afraid, [2]
 
what can flesh do [2]
to me? [1]
6 כׇּל־הַ֭יּוֹם [3] Dechi
דְּבָרַ֣י יְעַצֵּ֑בוּ [2] Etnachta
 
עָלַ֖י כׇּל־מַחְשְׁבֹתָ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לָרָֽע׃ [1] Silluq

they twist my words; [2]
 
all their plans are against me [2]
for evil. [1]
7 יָג֤וּרוּ ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh

הֵ֭מָּה [3] Dechi
עֲקֵבַ֣י יִשְׁמֹ֑רוּ [2] Etnachta
 
כַּ֝אֲשֶׁ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
קִוּ֥וּ נַפְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Silluq

they lie hidden, [3]

my steps they watch; [2]
 
just as [2]
they have waited for my life. [1]
8 עַל־אָ֥וֶן פַּלֶּט־לָ֑מוֹ [2] Etnachta

הוֹרֵ֬ד אֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 7 By wickedness will they have deliverance? [2]
 
In anger, [2]
peoples, [4/2]
bring down O God. [1]

סָפַ֢רְתָּ֫ה אָ֥תָּה [2] Ole Veyored
 
שִׂ֣ימָה דִמְעָתִ֣י [3] VDechi
בְנֹאדֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta

בְּסִפְרָתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

you have recorded, you; [2]
 
put my tears [3]
in your bottle, [2]
 
are they not [2]
in your book? [1]
10 אָ֨ז יָ֘שׁ֤וּבוּ אוֹיְבַ֣י אָ֭חוֹר [3] Dechi
בְּי֣וֹם אֶקְרָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
זֶה־יָ֝דַ֗עְתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִ֥ים לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Then my enemies shall turn back [3]
in the day that I call; [2]
 
this I know, [2]
that God is for me. [1]

אֲשַׁלֵּ֖ם תּוֹדֹ֣ת [2] VRevMug
לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

are your vows; [2]
 
I will give thank offerings [2]
to you. [1]
14 כִּ֤י הִצַּ֪לְתָּ נַפְשִׁ֡י [4] Pazer
מִמָּוֶת֮ [3] Sinnor
 
הֲלֹ֥א רַגְלַ֗י [3] Revi'i
מִ֫דֶּ֥חִי [2] Ole Veyored
 
לְ֭הִֽתְהַלֵּךְ [3] Dechi
לִפְנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝א֗וֹר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הַחַיִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
