1 לַמְנַצֵּ֬חַ ׀ עַֽל־שׁוֹשַׁנִּ֬ים [2] VRevMug
לְדָוִֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 To the choirmaster, to the tune of “Lilies,” [2]
of David. [1]
2 הוֹשִׁיעֵ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י בָ֖אוּ מַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
עַד־נָֽפֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 1 Save me O God; [2]
 
for the waters have come, [2]
up to the neck! [1]
3 טָבַ֤עְתִּי ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
בִּיוֵ֣ן מְ֭צוּלָה [3] Dechi
וְאֵ֣ין מׇעֳמָ֑ד [2] Etnachta
 
בָּ֥אתִי בְמַעֲמַקֵּי־מַ֝֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְשִׁבֹּ֥לֶת שְׁטָפָֽתְנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 2 I have sunk [4]
in deep mire, [3]
and there is no foothold; [2]
 
I have come into deep water [2]
and a flood has overflowed me. [1]
4 יָגַ֣עְתִּי בְקׇרְאִי֮ [3] Sinnor
נִחַ֢ר גְּר֫וֹנִ֥י [2] Ole Veyored
 
כָּל֥וּ עֵינַ֑י [2] Etnachta
מְ֝יַחֵ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֵאלֹהָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 3 I have become weary by my calling out, [3]
my throat has become parched; [2]
 
my eyes have failed, [2]
waiting [2]
for my God. [1]
5 רַבּ֤וּ ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
מִשַּׂעֲר֣וֹת רֹאשִׁי֮ [3] Sinnor
שֹׂנְאַ֢י חִ֫נָּ֥ם [2] Ole Veyored
 
עָצְמ֣וּ מַ֭צְמִיתַי [3] Dechi
אֹיְבַ֣י שֶׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־גָ֝זַ֗לְתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָ֣ז אָשִֽׁיב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 4 They are many, [4]
more than the hairs of my head, [3]
those who hate me without cause; [2]
 
those who would destroy me are numerous, [3]
my enemies by falsehood, [2]
 
(demanding) what I didn’t steal [2]
that I will return. [1]

אַתָּ֣ה יָ֭דַעְתָּ [3] Dechi
לְאִוַּלְתִּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַשְׁמוֹתַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִמְּךָ֥ לֹֽא־נִכְחָֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq

you, you know [3]
my folly; [2]
 
and my guilt, [2]
from you they aren’t hidden. [1]
7 אַל־יֵ֘בֹ֤שׁוּ בִ֨י ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
קֹוֶיךָ֮ [3] Sinnor
 
אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֗ה [3] Revi'i
צְבָ֫א֥וֹת [2] Ole Veyored
 
אַל־יִכָּ֣לְמֽוּ בִ֣י [3] VDechi
מְבַקְשֶׁ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta
 
אֱ֝לֹהֵ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 3 2 6 Don’t let them be ashamed through me, [4]
those who wait for you, [3]
 
O Lord GOD [3]
of Hosts; [2]
 
don’t let them be humiliated through me, [3]
those who seek you, [2]
 
O God [2]
of Israel. [1]
8 כִּֽי־עָ֭לֶיךָ [3] Dechi
נָשָׂ֣אתִי חֶרְפָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
כִּסְּתָ֖ה כְלִמָּ֣ה [2] VRevMug
פָנָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Because for your sake [3]
I have borne reproach; [2]
 
shame has covered [2]
my face. [1]
9 מ֭וּזָר [3] Dechi
הָיִ֣יתִי לְאֶחָ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נׇכְרִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לִבְנֵ֥י אִמִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 A stranger [3]
I have become to my brothers; [2]
 
and a foreigner [2]
to the children of my mother. [1]
10 כִּֽי־קִנְאַ֣ת בֵּיתְךָ֣ [3] VDechi
אֲכָלָ֑תְנִי [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֶרְפּ֥וֹת ח֝וֹרְפֶ֗יךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נָפְל֥וּ עָלָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 For the zeal of your house, [3]
it has consumed me; [2]
 
and the reproaches of those who reproach you, [2]
they have fallen on me. [1]
11 וָאֶבְכֶּ֣ה בַצּ֣וֹם [3] VDechi
נַפְשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וַתְּהִ֖י לַחֲרָפ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 When I wept with fasting [3]
my soul; [2]
 
it became a reproach [2]
to me. [1]
12 וָאֶתְּנָ֣ה לְבוּשִׁ֣י [3] VDechi
שָׂ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
וָאֱהִ֖י לָהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לְמָשָֽׁל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 When I made my clothing [3]
sackcloth; [2]
 
I became to them [2]
a byword. [1]
13 יָשִׂ֣יחוּ בִ֭י [3] Dechi
יֹ֣שְׁבֵי שָׁ֑עַר [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝נְגִינ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שׁוֹתֵ֥י שֵׁכָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 They talk about me, [3]
those who sit at the gate; [2]
 
and the song [2]
of drunkards (I've become). [1]
14 וַאֲנִ֤י תְפִלָּֽתִי־לְךָ֨ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
יְהֹוָ֡ה [4] Pazer
עֵ֤ת רָצ֗וֹן [3] Revi'i
אֱלֹהִ֥ים בְּרׇב־חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
עֲ֝נֵ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בֶּאֱמֶ֥ת יִשְׁעֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 4 2 13 But I, my prayer is to you, [4]
O LORD [4]
in an acceptable time, [3]
O God in the abundance of your lovingkindness; [2]
 
answer me [2]
in the faithfulness of your salvation. [1]
15 הַצִּילֵ֣נִי מִ֭טִּיט [3] Dechi
וְאַל־אֶטְבָּ֑עָה [2] Etnachta
 
אִנָּצְלָ֥ה מִ֝שֹּׂנְאַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּמִמַּ֖עֲמַקֵּי מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 Deliver me from the mud [3]
and don’t let me sink; [2]
 
may I be delivered from those who hate me, [2]
and from the deep waters. [1]
16 אַל־תִּשְׁטְפֵ֤נִי ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
שִׁבֹּ֣לֶת מַ֭יִם [3] Dechi
וְאַל־תִּבְלָעֵ֣נִי מְצוּלָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־תֶּאְטַר־עָלַ֖י בְּאֵ֣ר [2] VRevMug
פִּֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 15 Don’t let it overflow me, [4]
a flood of water, [3]
and don't let the deep swallow me up; [2]
 
and don’t let the pit close over me [2]
its mouth. [1]
17 עֲנֵ֣נִי יְ֭הֹוָה [3] Dechi
כִּי־ט֣וֹב חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
כְּרֹ֥ב רַ֝חֲמֶ֗יךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פְּנֵ֣ה אֵלָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 Answer me O LORD, [3]
for good is your lovingkindness; [2]
 
according to the greatness of your compassion, [2]
turn to me. [1]
18 וְאַל־תַּסְתֵּ֣ר פָּ֭נֶיךָ [3] Dechi
מֵעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּי־צַר־לִ֝֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַהֵ֥ר עֲנֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 And do not hide your face [3]
from your servant; [2]
 
for it is distress to me, [2]
hurry to answer me! [1]
19 קׇרְבָ֣ה אֶל־נַפְשִׁ֣י [3] VDechi
גְאָלָ֑הּ [2] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֖עַן אֹיְבַ֣י [2] VRevMug
פְּדֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Draw near to my soul, [3]
redeem it; [2]
 
because of my enemies, [2]
ransom me. [1]
20 אַתָּ֤ה יָדַ֗עְתָּ [3] Revi'i
חֶרְפָּתִ֣י וּ֭בׇשְׁתִּי [3] Dechi
וּכְלִמָּתִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
נֶ֝גְדְּךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כׇּל־צוֹרְרָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 19 You, you know, [3]
my reproach and my shame [3]
and my dishonor; [2]
 
before you [2]
are all my adversaries. [1]
21 חֶרְפָּ֤ה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
שָׁ֥בְרָ֥ה לִבִּ֗י [3] Revi'i
וָאָ֫נ֥וּשָׁה [2] Ole Veyored
 
וָאֲקַוֶּ֣ה לָנ֣וּד [3] VDechi
וָאַ֑יִן [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝לַמְנַחֲמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א מָצָֽאתִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 2 20 Reproach, [4]
it has broken my heart, [3]
and I have become sick; [2]
 
and I waited for one to show sympathy [3]
but there was none, [2]
 
and for comforters [2]
but I found none. [1]
22 וַיִּתְּנ֣וּ בְּבָרוּתִ֣י [3] VDechi
רֹ֑אשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝לִצְמָאִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַשְׁק֥וּנִי חֹֽמֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 And they put in my food, [3]
poison; [2]
 
and for my thirst [2]
they gave me vinegar to drink. [1]
23 יְהִי־שֻׁלְחָנָ֣ם לִפְנֵיהֶ֣ם [3] VDechi
לְפָ֑ח [2] Etnachta
 
וְלִשְׁלוֹמִ֥ים לְמוֹקֵֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 22 May their table become before them [3]
a trap; [2]
 
and for allies, a snare. [1]
24 תֶּחְשַׁ֣כְנָה עֵ֭ינֵיהֶם [3] Dechi
מֵרְא֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מׇתְנֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תָּמִ֥יד הַמְעַֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 May their eyes grow dim [3]
from seeing; [2]
 
and their loins [2]
continually shake. [1]
25 שְׁפׇךְ־עֲלֵיהֶ֥ם זַעְמֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וַחֲר֥וֹן אַ֝פְּךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַשִּׂיגֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 24 Pour out on them your indignation; [2]
 
and the burning of your anger, [2]
may it overtake them. [1]
26 תְּהִי־טִירָתָ֥ם נְשַׁמָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
בְּ֝אׇהֳלֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־יְהִ֥י יֹשֵֽׁב׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 25 May their encampment be made desolate; [2]
 
in their tents [2]
may no one dwell. [1]
27 כִּי־אַתָּ֣ה אֲשֶׁר־הִכִּ֣יתָ [3] VDechi
רָדָ֑פוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶל־מַכְא֖וֹב חֲלָלֶ֣יךָ [2] VRevMug
יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 For you, whom you have struck, [3]
they persecute; [2]
 
and of the pain of the one you have pierced, [2]
they recount. [1]
28 תְּֽנָה־עָ֭וֺן [3] Dechi
עַל־עֲוֺנָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְאַל־יָ֝בֹ֗אוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּצִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 Add iniquity [3]
to their iniquity; [2]
 
and do not let them come [2]
into your righteousness. [1]
29 יִ֭מָּח֥וּ [3] Dechi
מִסֵּ֣פֶר חַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְעִ֥ם צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־יִכָּתֵֽבוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 May they be blotted out [3]
from the book of life; [2]
 
and with the righteous [2]
may they not be written down. [1]
30 וַ֭אֲנִי [3] Dechi
עָנִ֣י וְכוֹאֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
יְשׁוּעָתְךָ֖ אֱלֹהִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 But I [3]
am afflicted and in pain; [2]
 
your salvation O God, [2]
may it set me on high. [1]
31 אֲהַלְלָ֣ה שֵׁם־אֱלֹהִ֣ים [3] VDechi
בְּשִׁ֑יר [2] Etnachta
 
וַאֲגַדְּלֶ֥נּוּ בְתוֹדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 30 I will praise the name of God [3]
with a song; [2]
 
and I will magnify him with thanksgiving. [1]
32 וְתִיטַ֣ב לַ֭יהֹוָה [3] Dechi
מִשּׁ֥וֹר פָּ֗ר [3/2] Revi'i
מַקְרִ֥ן מַפְרִֽיס׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 31 And it will please the LORD [3]
more than an ox, a young bull, [3/2]
having horns, having hooves. [1]
33 רָא֣וּ עֲנָוִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יִשְׂמָ֑חוּ [2] Etnachta
 
דֹּרְשֵׁ֥י אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וִיחִ֥י לְבַבְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 The humble will see, [3]
they will rejoice; [2]
 
seek God, [2]
and let your heart live. [1]
34 כִּי־שֹׁמֵ֣עַ אֶל־אֶבְיוֹנִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יְהֹוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־אֲ֝סִירָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א בָזָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 33 For listening to the needy [3]
is the LORD; [2]
 
and his prisoners, [2]
he doesn’t despise. [1]
35 יְֽ֭הַלְלוּהוּ [3] Dechi
שָׁמַ֣יִם וָאָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
יַ֝מִּ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְֽכׇל־רֹמֵ֥שׂ בָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 34 May they praise him, [3]
heaven and earth; [2]
 
the seas, [2]
and all that moves in them! [1]
36 כִּ֤י אֱלֹהִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
י֘וֹשִׁ֤יעַ צִיּ֗וֹן [3] Revi'i
 
וְ֭יִבְנֶה [3] Dechi
עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְיָ֥שְׁבוּ שָׁ֝֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וִירֵשֽׁוּהָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 35 For God, [4]
he will save Zion, [3]
 
and he will rebuild [3]
the cities of Judah; [2]
 
and they will dwell there, [2]
and they will own it. [1]
37 וְזֶ֣רַע עֲ֭בָדָיו [3] Dechi
יִנְחָל֑וּהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹהֲבֵ֥י שְׁ֝מ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִשְׁכְּנוּ־בָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

they shall inherit it; [2]
 
and those who love his name, [2]
they shall dwell in it. [1]
