1 וַתֹּ֥אמֶר לָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha נׇעֳמִ֣י חֲמוֹתָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta מָנ֖וֹחַ [2] Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִֽיטַב־לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
1 And she said to her, [2] Naomi her mother-in-law; [1] a resting place, [2] that it may be well with you? [1] |

2 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i הֲלֹ֥א בֹ֙עַז֙ [3 3] Pashta מֹֽדַעְתָּ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef אֶת־נַעֲרוֹתָ֑יו [1] Etnachta זֹרֶ֛ה [3] Tevir אֶת־גֹּ֥רֶן הַשְּׂעֹרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha הַלָּֽיְלָה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 Now therefore [3] isn’t Boaz [3 3] our kinsman, [2] with his maidens? [1] will be winnowing [3] the threshing floor of the barley, [2] tonight. [1] |

3 וְרָחַ֣צְתְּ ׀ [4] Legarmeh וָסַ֗כְתְּ [3] Revi'i עָלַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha עַ֥ד כַּלֹּת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha לֶאֱכֹ֥ל וְלִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Therefore wash [4] and anoint yourself, [3] on yourself, [2] until he has finished [2] eating and drinking. [1] |

4 וִיהִ֣י בְשׇׁכְב֗וֹ [3] Revi'i וְיָדַ֙עַתְּ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֶת־הַמָּקוֹם֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִשְׁכַּב־שָׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְגִלִּ֥ית מַרְגְּלֹתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha *ושכבתי **וְשָׁכָ֑בְתְּ [1] Etnachta יַגִּ֣יד לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשִֽׂין׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And let it be when he lies down, [3] that you shall take note of [3 3] the place [3] where he lies down there, [2] and uncover his feet, [2] and lie down; [1] he will tell you [2] what you are to do.” [1] |

5 וַתֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha אֵלֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאמְרִ֥י **אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֶֽעֱשֶֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And she said [2] to her; [1] that you're saying to me, [2] I will do.” [1] |

6 וַתֵּ֖רֶד [2] Tip'cha הַגֹּ֑רֶן [1] Etnachta כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוַּ֖תָּה [2] Tip'cha חֲמוֹתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And she went down to [2] the threshing floor; [1] everything that she had told her, [2] her mother-in-law. [1] |

7 וַיֹּ֨אכַל בֹּ֤עַז וַיֵּשְׁתְּ֙ [3] Pashta וַיִּיטַ֣ב לִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef לִשְׁכַּ֖ב [2] Tip'cha בִּקְצֵ֣ה הָעֲרֵמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וַתְּגַ֥ל מַרְגְּלֹתָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וַתִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk [3] and his heart was merry, [2] to lie down [2] at the end of the heap of grain; [1] and she uncovered his feet [2] and she lay down. [1] |

8 וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta בַּחֲצִ֣י הַלַּ֔יְלָה [2] Zaqef וַיִּלָּפֵ֑ת [1] Etnachta שֹׁכֶ֖בֶת [2] Tip'cha מַרְגְּלֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And [3] in the middle of the night, [2] and he turned himself; [1] was lying down [2] at his feet. [1] |

9 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha מִי־אָ֑תְּ [1] Etnachta אָֽנֹכִי֙ [3] Pashta ר֣וּת אֲמָתֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef עַל־אֲמָ֣תְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef אָֽתָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And he said, [2] “Who are you?” [1] “I [3] am Ruth your maidservant, [2] over your maidservant, [2] are you.” [1] |

10 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i בְּרוּכָ֨ה אַ֤תְּ לַֽיהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta בִּתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef חַסְדֵּ֥ךְ הָאַחֲר֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha מִן־הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן [1] Etnachta אַֽחֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta הַבַּ֣חוּרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְאִם־עָשִֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And he said, [3] “You are blessed by the LORD [3] my daughter. [2] your kindness in the end [2] more than at the beginning; [1] after [3] the young men, [2] or rich. [1] |

11 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i בִּתִּי֙ [3] Pashta אַל־תִּ֣ירְאִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶעֱשֶׂה־לָּ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta כׇּל־שַׁ֣עַר עַמִּ֔י [2] Zaqef אֵ֥שֶׁת חַ֖יִל [2] Tip'cha אָֽתְּ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And therefore, [3] my daughter [3] don’t be afraid, [2] I will do for you; [1] all the city of my people, [2] a worthy woman [2] are you. [1] |

12 וְעַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta כִּ֣י אׇמְנָ֔ם [2] Zaqef אָנֹ֑כִי [1] Etnachta יֵ֥שׁ גֹּאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha קָר֥וֹב מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
12 Now [3] it is true that [2] am I; [1] there is a kinsman [2] nearer than I. [1] |

13 לִ֣ינִי ׀ [4] Legarmeh הַלַּ֗יְלָה [3] Revi'i אִם־יִגְאָלֵ֥ךְ טוֹב֙ [3] Pashta יִגְאָ֔ל [2] Zaqef וּגְאַלְתִּ֥יךְ אָנֹ֖כִי [2] Tip'cha חַי־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta עַד־הַבֹּֽקֶר׃ [1] Silluq |
13 Stay [4] this night, [3] if he will redeem you good, [3] let him redeem, [2] then I will redeem you, I, [2] as the LORD lives. [1] until the morning.” [1] |

14 וַתִּשְׁכַּ֤ב מַרְגְּלוֹתָו֙ [3] Pashta עַד־הַבֹּ֔קֶר [2] Zaqef יַכִּ֥יר אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־רֵעֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta אַל־יִוָּדַ֔ע [2] Zaqef הַגֹּֽרֶן׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And she lay down at his feet [3] until the morning, [2] one could discern [2] another; [1] “Let it not be known [2] the threshing floor.” [1] |

15 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i הַמִּטְפַּ֧חַת אֲשֶׁר־עָלַ֛יִךְ [3] Tevir וְאֶחֳזִי־בָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha וַיָּ֣שֶׁת עָלֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef הָעִֽיר׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And he said, [3] the shawl that is on you, [3] and take hold on it.” [2] and he put it on her, [2] the city. [1] |

16 וַתָּבוֹא֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־חֲמוֹתָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef מִי־אַ֣תְּ בִּתִּ֑י [1] Etnachta כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָׂה־לָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha הָאִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 When she came [3] to her mother-in-law [2] “How did it go, my daughter?” [1] all that he had done for her, [2] the man. [1] |

17 וַתֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG שֵׁשׁ־הַשְּׂעֹרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha נָ֣תַן לִ֑י [1] Etnachta אָמַ֣ר **אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶל־חֲמוֹתֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And she said, [2] “These six measures of barley, [2] he gave to me; [1] he said to me, [2] to your mother-in-law.’ ” [1] |

18 וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta שְׁבִ֣י בִתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֵּֽדְעִ֔ין [2] Zaqef יִפֹּ֣ל דָּבָ֑ר [1] Etnachta הָאִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
18 Then she said, [3 3] “Sit down my daughter, [2] you know [2] the matter will fall out; [1] the man, [2] today.” [1] |
