דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 1 And it came, [3]
the word of the LORD of Hosts [2]
saying. [1]
2 כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
קִנֵּ֥אתִי לְצִיּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
קִנְאָ֣ה גְדוֹלָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְחֵמָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
קִנֵּ֥אתִי לָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

“I am jealous for Zion [2]
with great jealousy; [1]
 
and with great wrath [2]
I am jealous for her.” [1]

בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִקְרְאָ֤ה יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
עִ֣יר הָֽאֱמֶ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַר־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
הַ֥ר הַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq

“I have returned [3]
to Zion, [2]
 
and I will dwell [2]
in the middle of Jerusalem; [1]
 
and it shall be called Jerusalem, [3 3]
‘The City of Faithfulness,’ [2]
 
and the mountain of the LORD of Hosts, [2]
‘The Holy Mountain.’ ” [1]

וְאִ֧ישׁ מִשְׁעַנְתּ֛וֹ [3] Tevir

“Again they will sit, [3]
old men and old women, [2]
 
in the streets [2]
of Jerusalem; [1]
 
and each one his staff [3]
in his hand [2]
from (their) many days. [1]

בִּרְחֹֽבֹתֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

and girls; [1]
 
playing [2]

“If it is marvelous [3]
in the eyes [3]
of the remnant [3]
of this people, [2]

“Behold I will save [3]
my people [2]
from the land of the east; [1]
 
and from the land [2]
of the setting of the sun, [1]

וְשָׁכְנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֣וֹךְ יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיוּ־לִ֣י לְעָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
וַֽאֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶהְיֶ֤ה לָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
לֵֽאלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef

O those who hear [3]

that the house of the LORD of Hosts was founded, [3]
the temple, [2]
 
to be rebuilt. [1]

and for the one who went out and for the one who came in there was no peace [3]

of many cities, [1]

יוֹשְׁבֵי֩ אַחַ֨ת אֶל־אַחַ֜ת [4] Geresh
לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
נֵלְכָ֤ה הָלוֹךְ֙ [3] Pashta
לְחַלּוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־פְּנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְבַקֵּ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha

‘We want to go [3]
with you, [2]
 
for we have heard [2]
that God is with you.’ ” [1]
