1 The revelation of the word of the LORD [3] is against the land of Hadrach, [2] is its resting place; [1] is the eye of mankind, [2] the tribes of Israel, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 and also Hamath [2] which borders on it; [1] though they are shrewd, [2] exceedingly. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 For Tyre has built [3] a stronghold [2] for herself; [1] like the dust, [2] like the mud of the streets. [1] |

5 Ashkelon will see [4] and it will be afraid, [3] and it will be in great anguish, [2] for her expectation will be disappointed; [1] from Gaza, [2] it will not be inhabited. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
6 And a mixed race will dwell [2] in Ashdod; [1] the pride of the Philistines. [1] |
7 And I will take away his blood [4] from his mouth, [3] from between his teeth, [2] for our God; [1] like a leader in Judah, [2] like a Jebusite. [1] |
8 And I will encamp for my house a guard [3] from one who passes through and from one who returns, [2] any more, [2] an oppressor; [1] I am watching with my own eyes. [1] § |
9 Rejoice greatly [4] O daughter of Zion! [3] O daughter of Jerusalem! [2] he comes to you, [2] is he; [1] and riding on a donkey, [2] the foal of a donkey. [1] |
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, [3] and horses [3] from Jerusalem, [2] the battle bow, [2] to the nations; [1] will be from sea to sea, [2] to the ends of the earth. [1] |
11 You also by the blood of your covenant, [3] I will set free your prisoners [3 3] from a pit [2] in it. [1] |

13 For I will bend for myself [4] Judah, [3] I will fill with Ephraim, [2] O Zion [2] O Greece; [1] like the sword of a warrior. [1] |
14 And the LORD, [3] he will appear over them, [2] his arrow; [1] on the shofar he will blow, [2] in the whirlwinds of the south. [1] |
15 The LORD of Hosts, [3] he will defend them, [2] and they will overcome [3] with stones of a sling, [2] as with wine; [1] like a bowl, [2] of the altar. [1] |
16 And he will deliver them, [4] the LORD their God [3] on that day, [2] as the flock of his people; [1] jewels of a crown [2] on his land. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
