1 וַיֹּ֥סֶף אֱלִיה֗וּא [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 Elihu also continued, and said, [3/2]
2 כַּתַּר־לִ֣י זְ֭עֵיר [3] Dechi
וַאֲחַוֶּ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י ע֖וֹד [3] VDechi~
לֶאֱל֣וֹהַּ [2] VRevMug~
מִלִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 “Bear with me a little, [3]
and I will show you; [2]
 
for still [3]
on God’s behalf, [2]
are words. [1]
3 אֶשָּׂ֣א דֵ֭עִי [3] Dechi
לְמֵרָח֑וֹק [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝לְפֹעֲלִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶֽתֵּֽן־צֶֽדֶק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker. [3]
4 כִּֽי־אָ֭מְנָם [3] Dechi
לֹא־שֶׁ֣קֶר מִלָּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
תְּמִ֖ים דֵּע֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
עִמָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you. [3]
5 הֶן־אֵ֣ל כַּ֭בִּיר [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יִמְאָ֑ס [2] Etnachta
 
כַּ֝בִּ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כֹּ֣חַֽ לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 “Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding. [3]
6 לֹא־יְחַיֶּ֥ה רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וּמִשְׁפַּ֖ט עֲנִיִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 6 He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted. [2]
 
7 לֹֽא־יִגְרַ֥ע מִצַּדִּ֗יק [3] Revi'i
עֵ֫ינָ֥יו [2] Ole Veyored
 
וְאֶת־מְלָכִ֥ים לַכִּסֵּ֑א [2] Etnachta
וַיֹּשִׁיבֵ֥ם לָ֝נֶ֗צַח [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיִּגְבָּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 7 He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted. [3]
8 וְאִם־אֲסוּרִ֥ים בַּזִּקִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝לָּכְד֗וּן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּחַבְלֵי־עֹֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 8 If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions, [2]
 
9 וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לָהֶ֣ם [3] VDechi
פָּעֳלָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝פִשְׁעֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּ֣י יִתְגַּבָּֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 then he shows them their work, and their transgressions, that they have behaved themselves proudly. [3]
10 וַיִּ֣גֶל אָ֭זְנָם [3] Dechi
לַמּוּסָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝יֹּ֗אמֶר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּֽי־יְשֻׁב֥וּן מֵאָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity. [3]
11 אִֽם־יִשְׁמְע֗וּ [3] Revi'i
וְֽיַ֫עֲבֹ֥דוּ [2] Ole Veyored
 
יְכַלּ֣וּ יְמֵיהֶ֣ם [3] VDechi
בַּטּ֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝שְׁנֵיהֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּנְּעִימִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 11 If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. [3]
12 וְאִם־לֹ֣א יִ֭שְׁמְעוּ [3] Dechi
בְּשֶׁ֣לַח יַעֲבֹ֑רוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝יִגְוְע֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּבְלִי־דָֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge. [3]
13 וְֽחַנְפֵי־לֵ֭ב [3] Dechi
יָשִׂ֣ימוּ אָ֑ף [2] Etnachta
 
לֹ֥א יְ֝שַׁוְּע֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּ֣י אֲסָרָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 “But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them. [3]
14 תָּמֹ֣ת בַּנֹּ֣עַר [3] VDechi
נַפְשָׁ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝חַיָּתָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּקְּדֵשִֽׁים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean. [3]
15 יְחַלֵּ֣ץ עָנִ֣י [3] VDechi
בְעָנְי֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִ֖גֶל בַּלַּ֣חַץ [2] VRevMug
אָזְנָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression. [3]
16 וְאַ֤ף הֲסִיתְךָ֨ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
מִפִּי־צָ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
רַ֭חַב [3] Dechi
לֹא־מוּצָ֣ק תַּחְתֶּ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְנַ֥חַת שֻׁ֝לְחָנְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מָ֣לֵא דָֽשֶׁן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 16 Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness. [4]
17 וְדִין־רָשָׁ֥ע מָלֵ֑אתָ [2] Etnachta
 
דִּ֖ין וּמִשְׁפָּ֣ט [2] VRevMug
יִתְמֹֽכוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 17 “But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you. [2]
 
18 כִּֽי־חֵ֭מָה [3] Dechi
פֶּן־יְסִֽיתְךָ֣ בְסָ֑פֶק [2] Etnachta
 
וְרָב־כֹּ֝֗פֶר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־יַטֶּֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside. [3]
19 הֲיַעֲרֹ֣ךְ שׁ֭וּעֲךָ [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א בְצָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝כֹ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַאֲמַצֵּי־כֹֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength? [3]
20 אַל־תִּשְׁאַ֥ף הַלָּ֑יְלָה [2] Etnachta
 
לַעֲל֖וֹת עַמִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תַּחְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 20 Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place. [2]
 
21 הִ֭שָּׁמֶר [3] Dechi
אַל־תֵּ֣פֶן אֶל־אָ֑וֶן [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־עַל־זֶ֝֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בָּחַ֥רְתָּ מֵעֹֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction. [3]
22 הֶן־אֵ֭ל [3] Dechi
יַשְׂגִּ֣יב בְּכֹח֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מִ֖י כָמֹ֣הוּ [2] VRevMug
מוֹרֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him? [3]
23 מִֽי־פָקַ֣ד עָלָ֣יו [3] VDechi
דַּרְכּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּמִֽי־אָ֝מַ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פָּעַ֥לְתָּ עַוְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness?’ [3]
24 זְ֭כֹר [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־תַשְׂגִּ֣יא פָעֳל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֖ר שֹׁרְר֣וּ [2] VRevMug
אֲנָשִֽׁים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 “Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung. [3]
25 כָּל־אָדָ֥ם חָֽזוּ־ב֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אֱ֝נ֗וֹשׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַבִּ֥יט מֵרָחֽוֹק׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 25 All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off. [2]
 
26 הֶן־אֵ֣ל שַׂ֭גִּיא [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א נֵדָ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
מִסְפַּ֖ר שָׁנָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
וְלֹא־חֵֽקֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable. [3]
27 כִּ֭י [3] Dechi
יְגָרַ֣ע נִטְפֵי־מָ֑יִם [2] Etnachta
 
יָזֹ֖קּוּ מָטָ֣ר [2] VRevMug
לְאֵדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor, [3]
28 אֲשֶֽׁר־יִזְּל֥וּ שְׁחָקִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
יִ֝רְעֲפ֗וּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֲלֵ֤י ׀ [4/2] Mahpakh Legarmeh
אָדָ֬ם רָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 2 28 which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly. [2]
 
29 אַ֣ף אִם־יָ֭בִין [3] Dechi
מִפְרְשֵׂי־עָ֑ב [2] Etnachta
 
תְּ֝שֻׁא֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
סֻכָּתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion? [3]
30 הֵן־פָּרַ֣שׂ עָלָ֣יו [3] VDechi
אוֹר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְשָׁרְשֵׁ֖י הַיָּ֣ם [2] VRevMug
כִּסָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea. [3]
31 כִּי־בָ֭ם [3] Dechi
יָדִ֣ין עַמִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
יִֽתֶּן־אֹ֥כֶל לְמַכְבִּֽיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 31 For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance. [3]
32 עַל־כַּפַּ֥יִם כִּסָּה־א֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
וַיְצַ֖ו עָלֶ֣יהָ [2] VRevMug
בְמַפְגִּֽיעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 32 He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark. [2]
 
33 יַגִּ֣יד עָלָ֣יו [3] VDechi
רֵע֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מִ֝קְנֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַ֣ף עַל־עוֹלֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 33 Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also concerning the storm that comes up. ¶ [3]
