1 נָ֣סוּ וְאֵין־רֹדֵ֣ף [3] VDechi
רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּיקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּכְפִ֥יר יִבְטָֽח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion. [3]
2 בְּפֶ֣שַֽׁע אֶ֭רֶץ [3] Dechi
רַבִּ֣ים שָׂרֶ֑יהָ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְאָדָ֥ם מֵבִ֥ין יֹ֝דֵ֗עַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כֵּ֣ן יַאֲרִֽיךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 In rebellion, a land has many rulers, but order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge. [3]
3 גֶּ֣בֶר רָ֭שׁ [3] Dechi
וְעֹשֵׁ֣ק דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
מָטָ֥ר סֹ֝חֵ֗ף [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 A needy man who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain which leaves no crops. [3]
4 עֹזְבֵ֣י ת֭וֹרָה [3] Dechi
יְהַֽלְל֣וּ רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁמְרֵ֥י ת֝וֹרָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְגָּ֥רוּ בָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 4 Those who forsake the Torah praise the wicked; but those who keep the Torah contend with them. [3]
5 אַנְשֵׁי־רָ֭ע [3] Dechi
לֹא־יָבִ֣ינוּ מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְבַקְשֵׁ֥י יְ֝הוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָבִ֥ינוּ כֹֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Evil men don’t understand justice; but those who seek the LORD understand it fully. [3]
6 טֽוֹב־רָ֭שׁ [3] Dechi
הוֹלֵ֣ךְ בְּתֻמּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מֵעִקֵּ֥שׁ דְּ֝רָכַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְה֣וּא עָשִֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich. [3]
7 נוֹצֵ֣ר תּ֭וֹרָה [3] Dechi
בֵּ֣ן מֵבִ֑ין [2] Etnachta
 
וְרֹעֶה זֽ֝וֹלְלִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יַכְלִ֥ים אָבִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 Whoever keeps the Torah is a wise son; but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father. [3]
8 מַרְבֶּ֣ה ה֭וֹנוֹ [3] Dechi
בְּנֶ֣שֶׁךְ *ובתרבית **וְתַרְבִּ֑ית [2] Etnachta
 
לְחוֹנֵ֖ן דַּלִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִקְבְּצֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 He who increases his wealth by excessive interest gathers it for one who has pity on the poor. [3]
9 מֵסִ֣יר אָ֭זְנוֹ [3] Dechi
מִשְּׁמֹ֣עַ תּוֹרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
גַּֽם־תְּ֝פִלָּת֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תּוֹעֵבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 He who turns away his ear from hearing the Torah, even his prayer is an abomination. [3]
10 מַשְׁגֶּ֤ה יְשָׁרִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ רָ֗ע [3] Revi'i
בִּשְׁחוּת֥וֹ הֽוּא־יִפּ֑וֹל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝תְמִימִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִנְחֲלוּ־טֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 10 Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he will fall into his own trap; but the blameless will inherit good. [4]
11 חָכָ֣ם בְּ֭עֵינָיו [3] Dechi
אִ֣ישׁ עָשִׁ֑יר [2] Etnachta
 
וְדַ֖ל מֵבִ֣ין [2] VRevMug
יַחְקְרֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 The rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor who has understanding sees through him. [3]
12 בַּעֲלֹ֣ץ צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
רַבָּ֣ה תִפְאָ֑רֶת [2] Etnachta
 
וּבְק֥וּם רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְחֻפַּ֥שׂ אָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 When the righteous triumph, there is great glory; but when the wicked rise, men hide themselves. [3]
13 מְכַסֶּ֣ה פְ֭שָׁעָיו [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יַצְלִ֑יחַ [2] Etnachta
 
וּמוֹדֶ֖ה וְעֹזֵ֣ב [2] VRevMug
יְרֻחָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy. [3]
14 אַשְׁרֵ֣י אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
מְפַחֵ֣ד תָּמִ֑יד [2] Etnachta
 
וּמַקְשֶׁ֥ה לִ֝בּ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִפּ֥וֹל בְּרָעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 Blessed is the man who always fears; but one who hardens his heart falls into trouble. [3]
15 אֲרִי־נֹ֭הֵם [3] Dechi
וְדֹ֣ב שׁוֹקֵ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
מֹשֵׁ֥ל רָ֝שָׁ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַ֣ל עַם־דָּֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 As a roaring lion or a charging bear, so is a wicked ruler over helpless people. [3]

חֲסַ֣ר תְּ֭בוּנוֹת [3] Dechi
וְרַ֥ב מַעֲשַׁקּ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta

יַאֲרִ֥יךְ יָמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 3 2 16 A tyrannical ruler lacks judgment. One who hates ill-gotten gain will have long days. [3]

עָשֻׁ֣ק בְּדַם־נָ֑פֶשׁ [2] Etnachta
 
עַד־בּ֥וֹר יָ֝נ֗וּס [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַל־יִתְמְכוּ־בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 A man who is tormented by life blood will be a fugitive until death; no one will support him. [3]
18 הוֹלֵ֣ךְ תָּ֭מִים [3] Dechi
יִוָּשֵׁ֑עַ [2] Etnachta
 
וְנֶעְקַ֥שׁ דְּ֝רָכַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִפּ֥וֹל בְּאֶחָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Whoever walks blamelessly is kept safe; but one with perverse ways will fall suddenly. [3]
19 עֹבֵ֣ד אַ֭דְמָתוֹ [3] Dechi
יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־לָ֑חֶם [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְרַדֵּ֥ף רֵ֝קִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִֽשְׂבַּֽע־רִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 One who works his land will have an abundance of food; but one who chases fantasies will have his fill of poverty. [3]
20 אִ֣ישׁ אֱ֭מוּנוֹת [3] Dechi
רַב־בְּרָכ֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
וְאָ֥ץ לְ֝הַעֲשִׁ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יִנָּקֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 A faithful man is rich with blessings; but one who is eager to be rich will not go unpunished. [3]
21 הַֽכֵּר־פָּנִ֥ים לֹא־ט֑וֹב [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַל־פַּת־לֶ֝֗חֶם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִפְשַׁע־גָּֽבֶר׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 21 To show partiality is not good; yet a man will do wrong for a piece of bread. [2]
 
22 נִֽבֳהָ֥ל לַה֗וֹן [3] Revi'i
אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
רַ֣ע עָ֑יִן [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יֵ֝דַע [2] Geresh
כִּי־חֶ֥סֶר יְבֹאֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 22 A stingy man hurries after riches, and doesn’t know that poverty waits for him. [3]
23 מ֘וֹכִ֤יחַ אָדָ֣ם אַ֭חֲרַי [3] Dechi
חֵ֣ן יִמְצָ֑א [2] Etnachta
 
מִֽמַּחֲלִ֥יק לָשֽׁוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 23 One who rebukes a man will afterward find more favor than one who flatters with the tongue. [3]
24 גּוֹזֵ֤ל ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
אָ֘בִ֤יו וְאִמּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
וְאֹמֵ֥ר אֵֽין־פָּ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
חָבֵ֥ר ה֝֗וּא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְאִ֣ישׁ מַשְׁחִֽית׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 24 Whoever robs his father or his mother and says, “It’s not wrong,” is a partner with a destroyer. [4]
25 רְחַב־נֶ֭פֶשׁ [3] Dechi
יְגָרֶ֣ה מָד֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּבוֹטֵ֖חַ עַל־יְהוָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
יְדֻשָּֽׁן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 One who is greedy stirs up strife; but one who trusts in the LORD will prosper. [3]
26 בּוֹטֵ֣חַ בְּ֭לִבּוֹ [3] Dechi
ה֣וּא כְסִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹלֵ֥ךְ בְּ֝חָכְמָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ה֣וּא יִמָּלֵֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 One who trusts in himself is a fool; but one who walks in wisdom is kept safe. [3]
27 נוֹתֵ֣ן לָ֭רָשׁ [3] Dechi
אֵ֣ין מַחְס֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
וּמַעְלִ֥ים עֵ֝ינָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
רַב־מְאֵרֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 One who gives to the poor has no lack; but one who closes his eyes will have many curses. [3]
28 בְּק֣וּם רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
יִסָּתֵ֣ר אָדָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝בְאָבְדָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִרְבּ֥וּ צַדִּיקִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 When the wicked rise, men hide themselves; but when they perish, the righteous thrive. ¶ [3]
