1 אִ֣ישׁ תּ֭וֹכָחוֹת [3] Dechi
מַקְשֶׁה־עֹ֑רֶף [2] Etnachta
 
פֶּ֥תַע יִ֝שָּׁבֵ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַרְפֵּֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will be destroyed suddenly, with no remedy. [3]
2 בִּרְב֣וֹת צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
יִשְׂמַ֣ח הָעָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּבִמְשֹׁ֥ל רָ֝שָׁ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יֵאָ֥נַֽח עָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; but when the wicked rule, the people groan. [3]
3 אִֽישׁ־אֹהֵ֣ב חָ֭כְמָה [3] Dechi
יְשַׂמַּ֣ח אָבִ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְרֹעֶ֥ה ז֝וֹנ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְאַבֶּד־הֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Whoever loves wisdom brings joy to his father; but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth. [3]

בְּ֭מִשְׁפָּט [3] Dechi
יַעֲמִ֣יד אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֖ישׁ תְּרוּמ֣וֹת [2] VRevMug
יֶֽהֶרְסֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 4 The king by justice makes the land stable, but he who takes bribes tears it down. [3]
5 גֶּ֭בֶר [3] Dechi
מַחֲלִ֣יק עַל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
רֶ֝֗שֶׁת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פּוֹרֵ֥שׂ עַל־פְּעָמָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet. [3]
6 בְּפֶ֤שַֽׁע אִ֣ישׁ רָ֣ע [3] VDechi
מוֹקֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָר֥וּן וְשָׂמֵֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 An evil man is snared by his sin, but the righteous can sing and be glad. [3]
7 יֹדֵ֣עַ צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
דִּ֣ין דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
רָ֝שָׁ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹא־יָבִ֥ין דָּֽעַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The righteous care about justice for the poor. The wicked aren’t concerned about knowledge. [3]
8 אַנְשֵׁ֣י לָ֭צוֹן [3] Dechi
יָפִ֣יחוּ קִרְיָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝חֲכָמִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יָשִׁ֥יבוּ אָֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 Mockers stir up a city, but wise men turn away anger. [3]
9 אִֽישׁ־חָכָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
נִ֭שְׁפָּט [3] Dechi
אֶת־אִ֣ישׁ אֱוִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְרָגַ֥ז וְ֝שָׂחַ֗ק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין נָֽחַת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 9 If a wise man goes to court with a foolish man, the fool rages or scoffs, and there is no peace. [3]
10 אַנְשֵׁ֣י דָ֭מִים [3] Dechi
יִשְׂנְאוּ־תָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וִֽ֝ישָׁרִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְבַקְשׁ֥וּ נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 The bloodthirsty hate a man of integrity; and they seek the life of the upright. [3]
11 כָּל־ר֭וּחוֹ [3] Dechi
יוֹצִ֣יא כְסִ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝חָכָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּאָח֥וֹר יְשַׁבְּחֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control. [3]
12 מֹ֭שֵׁל [3] Dechi
מַקְשִׁ֣יב עַל־דְּבַר־שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
כָּֽל־מְשָׁרְתָ֥יו רְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 12 If a ruler listens to lies, all of his officials are wicked. [3]
13 רָ֤שׁ וְאִ֣ישׁ תְּכָכִ֣ים [3] VDechi
נִפְגָּ֑שׁוּ [2] Etnachta
 
מֵ֤אִיר־עֵינֵ֖י שְׁנֵיהֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
יְהוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 The poor man and the oppressor have this in common: The LORD gives sight to the eyes of both. [3]
14 מֶ֤לֶךְ שׁוֹפֵ֣ט בֶּֽאֱמֶ֣ת [3] VDechi
דַּלִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֝סְא֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָעַ֥ד יִכּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 The king who fairly judges the poor, his throne shall be established forever. [3]
15 שֵׁ֣בֶט וְ֭תוֹכַחַת [3] Dechi
יִתֵּ֣ן חָכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְנַ֥עַר מְ֝שֻׁלָּ֗ח [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵבִ֥ישׁ אִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother. [3]
16 בִּרְב֣וֹת רְ֭שָׁעִים [3] Dechi
יִרְבֶּה־פָּ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּיקִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּֽמַפַּלְתָּ֥ם יִרְאֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 When the wicked increase, sin increases; but the righteous will see their downfall. [3]
17 יַסֵּ֣ר בִּ֭נְךָ [3] Dechi
וִֽינִיחֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיִתֵּ֖ן מַעֲדַנִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
לְנַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 17 Correct your son, and he will give you peace; yes, he will bring delight to your soul. [3]
18 בְּאֵ֣ין חָ֭זוֹן [3] Dechi
יִפָּ֣רַֽע עָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁמֵ֖ר תּוֹרָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
אַשְׁרֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but one who keeps the Torah is blessed. [3]
19 בִּ֭דְבָרִים [3] Dechi
לֹא־יִוָּ֣סֶר עָ֑בֶד [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יָ֝בִ֗ין [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַעֲנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 A servant can’t be corrected by words. Though he understands, yet he will not respond. [3]
20 חָזִ֗יתָ [3] Revi'i
אִ֭ישׁ [3] Dechi
אָ֣ץ בִּדְבָרָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
תִּקְוָ֖ה לִכְסִ֣יל [2] VRevMug
מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. [3]
21 מְפַנֵּ֣ק מִנֹּ֣עַר [3] VDechi
עַבְדּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַחֲרִית֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִהְיֶ֥ה מָנֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 He who pampers his servant from youth will have him become a son in the end. [3]
22 אִֽישׁ־אַ֭ף [3] Dechi
יְגָרֶ֣ה מָד֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּבַ֖עַל חֵמָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
רַב־פָּֽשַׁע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 An angry man stirs up strife, and a wrathful man abounds in sin. [3]
23 גַּאֲוַ֣ת אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
תַּשְׁפִּילֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּשְׁפַל־ר֝֗וּחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְמֹ֥ךְ כָּבֽוֹד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 A man’s pride brings him low, but one of lowly spirit gains honor. [3]
24 חוֹלֵ֣ק עִם־גַּ֭נָּב [3] Dechi
שׂוֹנֵ֣א נַפְשׁ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
אָלָ֥ה יִ֝שְׁמַ֗ע [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יַגִּֽיד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 Whoever is an accomplice of a thief is an enemy of his own soul. He takes an oath, but dares not testify. [3]
25 חֶרְדַּ֣ת אָ֭דָם [3] Dechi
יִתֵּ֣ן מוֹקֵ֑שׁ [2] Etnachta
 
וּבוֹטֵ֖חַ בַּיהוָ֣ה [2] VRevMug
יְשֻׂגָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in the LORD is kept safe. [3]
26 רַ֭בִּים [3] Dechi
מְבַקְשִׁ֣ים פְּנֵי־מוֹשֵׁ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מֵיְהוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִשְׁפַּט־אִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 Many seek the ruler’s favor, but a man’s justice comes from the LORD. [3]
27 תּוֹעֲבַ֣ת צַ֭דִּיקִים [3] Dechi
אִ֣ישׁ עָ֑וֶל [2] Etnachta
 
וְתוֹעֲבַ֖ת רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
יְשַׁר־דָּֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
