הַֽחֻקִּים֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לְלַמֵּ֣ד אֶתְכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת בָּאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֛ם [3] Tevir
עֹבְרִ֥ים שָׁ֖מָּה [2] Tip'cha
לְרִשְׁתָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

which he has commanded, [3]

to observe in the land [2]

אֶת־כׇּל־חֻקֹּתָ֣יו וּמִצְוֺתָיו֮ [3] Zarqa
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָנֹכִ֣י מְצַוֶּ֒ךָ֒ [2 2] Segol
 
אַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
וּבִנְךָ֣ וּבֶן־בִּנְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
יְמֵ֣י חַיֶּ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְמַ֖עַן [2] Tip'cha
יַאֲרִכֻ֥ן יָמֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha

and that you may increase [2]

just as he has promised, the LORD [4]

flowing with milk [2]
and honey. [1]

O Israel; [1]
 
the LORD is our God, [2]
the LORD alone. [1]
5 וְאָ֣הַבְתָּ֔ [2] Zaqef
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
בְּכׇל־לְבָבְךָ֥ וּבְכׇל־נַפְשְׁךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְכׇל־מְאֹדֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 5 And you shall love [2]
-- [2]
the LORD your God; [1]
 
with all your heart and with all your soul [2]
and with all your strength. [1]
6 וְהָי֞וּ [4] Gershayim
הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֗לֶּה [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָנֹכִ֧י מְצַוְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir
הַיּ֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
 
עַל־לְבָבֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 6 And they shall be, [4]
these words [3]
 
which I am commanding you [3]
this day, [2]
 
on your heart, [1]
7 וְשִׁנַּנְתָּ֣ם לְבָנֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
וְדִבַּרְתָּ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ֤ בְּבֵיתֶ֙ךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ֣ בַדֶּ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וּֽבְשׇׁכְבְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְקוּמֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 2 7 and you shall repeat them to your children [2]
and you shall speak [2]
of them; [1]
 
when you sit in your house [3 3]
and when you walk on the road, [2]
 
and when you lie down [2]
and when you rise up. [1]
8 וּקְשַׁרְתָּ֥ם לְא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
עַל־יָדֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָי֥וּ לְטֹטָפֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ין עֵינֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 8 And you shall bind them as a sign [2]
on your hand; [1]
 
and they shall be as frontlets [2]
between your eyes. [1]
9 וּכְתַבְתָּ֛ם [3] Tevir
עַל־מְזֻז֥וֹת בֵּיתֶ֖ךָ [2] Tip'cha
וּבִשְׁעָרֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 9 And you shall write them [3]
on the doorposts of your house [2]
and on your gates. [1]

10 וְהָיָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
כִּ֥י יְבִיאֲךָ֣ ׀ [4] Legarmeh
יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ [3] Revi'i
 
אֶל־הָאָ֜רֶץ [4] Geresh
אֲשֶׁ֨ר נִשְׁבַּ֧ע לַאֲבֹתֶ֛יךָ [3] Tevir
 
לְאַבְרָהָ֛ם [3] Tevir
לְיִצְחָ֥ק וּֽלְיַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
 
לָ֣תֶת לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
עָרִ֛ים [3] Tevir
גְּדֹלֹ֥ת וְטֹבֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־בָנִֽיתָ׃ [1] Silluq

when he brings you, [4]
the LORD your God, [3]
 
into the land [4]
which he swore to your fathers, [3]
 
to Abraham, [3]
to Isaac and to Jacob, [2]
 
to give to you; [1]
 
cities [3]
great and good [2]
which you did not build, [1]
11 וּבָ֨תִּ֜ים [4] Geresh
מְלֵאִ֣ים כׇּל־טוּב֮ [3] Zarqa
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־מִלֵּ֒אתָ֒ [2 2] Segol
 
וּבֹרֹ֤ת חֲצוּבִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־חָצַ֔בְתָּ [2] Zaqef
 
כְּרָמִ֥ים וְזֵיתִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־נָטָ֑עְתָּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָכַלְתָּ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְשָׂבָֽעְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq

full of every good thing [3]
which you did not fill, [2 2]
 
and cisterns dug out [3]
which you did not dig, [2]
 
vineyards and olive trees [2]
which you did not plant; [1]
 
and you eat [2]
and you are satisfied, [1]
12 הִשָּׁ֣מֶר לְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
פֶּן־תִּשְׁכַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֧ר הוֹצִֽיאֲךָ֛ [3] Tevir
מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

lest you should forget [2]
the LORD; [1]
 
who brought you out [3]
from the land of Egypt, [2]
from the house of slavery. [1]
13 אֶת־יְהֹוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֶ֛יךָ [3] Tevir
תִּירָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
וְאֹת֣וֹ תַעֲבֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וּבִשְׁמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
תִּשָּׁבֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq

you must fear, [2]
and him you must serve; [1]
 
and by his name [2]
you shall swear. [1]
14 לֹ֣א תֵֽלְכ֔וּן [2] Zaqef
אַחֲרֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
מֵאֱלֹהֵי֙ [3] Pashta
הָֽעַמִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
סְבִיבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

other gods; [1]
 
any of the gods [3]
of the peoples [2]
 
which [2]
are around you, [1]
15 כִּ֣י אֵ֥ל קַנָּ֛א [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
בְּקִרְבֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־יֶ֠חֱרֶ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG
אַף־יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
בָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִשְׁמִ֣ידְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
מֵעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

lest it be kindled, [4 4]
the anger of the LORD your God [3 3]

כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר נִסִּיתֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּמַּסָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD [2]
your God; [1]
 
as you tested him [2]
at Massah. [1]
17 שָׁמ֣וֹר תִּשְׁמְר֔וּן [2] Zaqef
אֶת־מִצְוֺ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְעֵדֹתָ֥יו וְחֻקָּ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 17 You shall carefully keep [2]
the commandments [2]
of the LORD your God; [1]
 
and his testimonies and his statutes [2]
which he has commanded you. [1]
18 וְעָשִׂ֛יתָ [3] Tevir
הַיָּשָׁ֥ר וְהַטּ֖וֹב [2] Tip'cha
בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֙עַן֙ [3 3] Pashta
יִ֣יטַב לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבָ֗אתָ [3] Revi'i
וְיָֽרַשְׁתָּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָאָ֣רֶץ הַטֹּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֥ע יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

what is right and good [2]
in the sight of the LORD; [1]

it may go well for you, [2]
 
and you may go in [3]
and possess [3]
the good land [2]
 
which the LORD swore [2]

19 לַהֲדֹ֥ף אֶת־כׇּל־אֹיְבֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
מִפָּנֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 19 to drive out all your enemies [2]
from before you; [1]
 
just as [2]
the LORD has spoken. [1]

20 כִּֽי־יִשְׁאָלְךָ֥ בִנְךָ֛ [3] Tevir
מָחָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
מָ֣ה הָעֵדֹ֗ת [3] Revi'i
וְהַֽחֻקִּים֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha

in the future [2]

“What are the testimonies [3]
and the statutes [3]
and the ordinances [2]
 
which he commanded, [3]
the LORD our God [2]

21 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ לְבִנְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
עֲבָדִ֛ים [3] Tevir
הָיִ֥ינוּ לְפַרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּצִיאֵ֧נוּ יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
בְּיָ֥ד חֲזָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 3 21 then you shall tell your son, [2]
 
“Slaves [3]
we were to Pharaoh [2]
in Egypt; [1]
 
and the LORD brought us out [3]
from Egypt [2]
with a mighty hand, [1]
22 וַיִּתֵּ֣ן יְהֹוָ֡ה [4] Pazer
אוֹתֹ֣ת וּ֠מֹפְתִ֠ים [4 4] TelishaG
גְּדֹלִ֨ים וְרָעִ֧ים ׀ בְּמִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir
בְּפַרְעֹ֥ה וּבְכׇל־בֵּית֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
 
לְעֵינֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 4 22 and the LORD showed [4]
signs and wonders [4 4]
great and terrible against Egypt, [3]
against Pharaoh and against all his household, [2]
 
before our eyes, [1]
23 וְאוֹתָ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
הוֹצִ֣יא מִשָּׁ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לְמַ֙עַן֙ [3 3] Pashta
הָבִ֣יא אֹתָ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef
 
לָ֤תֶת לָ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִשְׁבַּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
לַאֲבֹתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq

to bring us in, [2]
 
to give to us [3 3]
the land [2]

24 וַיְצַוֵּ֣נוּ יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־כׇּל־הַחֻקִּ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef
 
לְיִרְאָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
לְט֥וֹב לָ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
כׇּל־הַיָּמִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
לְחַיֹּתֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
כְּהַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 24 And the LORD commanded us [3]
to observe [3]
all these statutes, [2]
 
to fear [2]
the LORD our God; [1]
 
for our good [3 3]
always, [2]
 
to keep us alive [2]
as (it) is this day. [1]
25 וּצְדָקָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
תִּֽהְיֶה־לָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־נִשְׁמֹ֨ר לַעֲשׂ֜וֹת [4] Geresh
אֶת־כׇּל־הַמִּצְוָ֣ה הַזֹּ֗את [3] Revi'i
 
לִפְנֵ֛י [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
 
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

it shall be for us; [1]
 
if we take care to observe [4]
all this commandment [3]
 
before [3]
the LORD our God, [2]
 
just as he has commanded us.” [1]
