קהלת 9 | Ecclesiastes 9 | |||
1 But all this [4] I laid to my heart [3] and pondered all this, [2] and their deeds [2] are in the hand of God; [1] knows not [3 3] man, [2] awaits them. [1] |
2 All [4] is just as to all, [3] to the righteous and to the wicked, [3] and to the clean and to the unclean, [2] and to one who [2] doesn’t sacrifice; [1] so is the sinner, [2] just as [2] one fearing an oath. [1] |
3 This [4] is an evil [3] under the sun, [2] belongs to all; [1] is full of evil with madness in their heart [3] while they live, [2] to the dead. [1] |
4 But whoever [3] is the one who is joined [2] has hope; [1] it is better [2] that is dead. [1] |
5 For the living [3] know [2] that they will die; [1] they know nothing, [3] a reward, [2] the memory of them. [1] |
6 And their love and their hatred [3] and their envy, [2] it has already perished; [1] ever again [2] under the sun. [1] |
7 Go eat with gladness [3] your bread, [2] your wine; [1] God has accepted [2] your deeds. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
8 Always [2] let your clothes be [2] white; [1] on your head let it not be lacking. [1] |
9 See life [4] with the wife whom you love [3] of your futile life [2] under the sun, [2] your futile days; [1] in life, [2] that you have labored [2] under the sun. [1] |
10 All [4] that your hand finds [3] to do with your strength, [2] do; [1] or knowledge or wisdom, [2] where you [2] there are going. [1] |
11 I looked again [4] and I saw under the sun, [3] and not to the mighty the battle, [3] not to the wise is bread [3 3] is wealth, [2] not to the skillful [2] is favor; [1] it happens to them all. [1] |
12 For [4] man also does not know [4] his time, [3] that are caught [3] in an evil net, [2] caught [2] in a snare; [1] are ensnared [3] the sons of men, [2] when it falls on them [2] suddenly. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 Also this [3] I have seen as wisdom [2] under the sun; [1] to me, [1] |
14 a small city, [2] and men in it [2] few; [1] a great king [3] and he surrounded it, [2] great siege works. [1] |
15 Now was found in it [3] a poor man [3] who was wise, [2] by his wisdom; [1] not was he remembered, [2] that. [1] |
16 So I, I said, [2] “Wisdom is better [2] than strength; [1] is despised, [2] they are not heard.” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 The words of the wise, [2] in quietness [2] heard; [1] among fools. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
18 Wisdom is better [2] than weapons of war; [1] he destroys [2] much good. [1] |
