13 Then Mordecai said [2] to reply to Esther; [1] to escape (in) the house of the king [2] from all the Jews. [1] |

14 כִּ֣י אִם־הַחֲרֵ֣שׁ תַּחֲרִ֘ישִׁי֮ [3 3] Zarqa בָּעֵ֣ת הַזֹּאת֒ [2] Segol יַעֲמ֤וֹד לַיְּהוּדִים֙ [3] Pashta מִמָּק֣וֹם אַחֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef תֹּאבֵ֑דוּ [1] Etnachta אִם־לְעֵ֣ת כָּזֹ֔את [2] Zaqef הִגַּ֖עַתְּ [2] Tip'cha לַמַּלְכֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq |
14 For if you indeed remain silent [3 3] at this time, [2] it will arise for the Jews [3] from another place, [2] you will perish; [1] if for such a time as this [2] you have reached [2] the queenhood?” [1] |

16 לֵךְ֩ כְּנ֨וֹס אֶת־כׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֜ים [4] Geresh הַֽנִּמְצְאִ֣ים בְּשׁוּשָׁ֗ן [3] Revi'i וְאַל־תֹּאכְל֨וּ וְאַל־תִּשְׁתּ֜וּ [4] Geresh שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ [3] Pashta לַ֣יְלָה וָי֔וֹם [2] Zaqef אָצ֣וּם כֵּ֑ן [1] Etnachta אָב֤וֹא אֶל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־כַדָּ֔ת [2] Zaqef אָבָֽדְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
16 “Go, gather all the Jews [4] who are found in Susa, [3] and do not eat and do not drink [4] three days, [3] night or day. [2] I will fast in this way; [1] I will go to the king, [3 3] which is against the law, [2] I perish.” [1] |

1 And it was, [4] on the third day, [3] royal clothing, [2] in the court of the house of the king, [3 3] the inner, [2] the house of the king; [1] was sitting [4] on his royal throne [3] in the royal house, [2] the entrance of the house. [1] |

2 And when the king saw [4] Esther the queen [3] in the court, [2] in his eyes; [1] to Esther [3] that was in his hand, [2] and she touched [2] the top of the scepter. [1] § |

3 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ [3] Pashta הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef אֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta עַד־חֲצִ֥י הַמַּלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha וְיִנָּ֥תֵֽן לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Then he said to her, [3] the king, [2] O Esther the queen; [1] Up to half of the kingdom, [2] and it shall be given to you.” [1] |

4 And Esther said, [2] “If to the king it seems [2] good; [1] this day, [2] which I have prepared for him.” [1] |

5 And the king said, [2] Haman, [2] the word of Esther.” [1] and Haman, [2] which Esther had prepared. [1] |

6 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר֙ [3] Pashta בְּמִשְׁתֵּ֣ה הַיַּ֔יִן [2] Zaqef וְיִנָּ֣תֵֽן לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta עַד־חֲצִ֥י הַמַּלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha וְתֵעָֽשׂ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And the king said to Esther [3] at the banquet of wine, [2] and it shall be given to you; [1] up to half of the kingdom [2] and it shall be done.” [1] |

7 And Esther answered [2] and she said; [1] and my request, [1] |

8 אִם־מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֜ן [4] Geresh בְּעֵינֵ֣י הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef אֶת־שְׁאֵ֣לָתִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶת־בַּקָּשָׁתִ֑י [1] Etnachta אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֣ה לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef כִּדְבַ֥ר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 If I have found favor [4] in the eyes of the king, [3] good, [2] my petition [2] what I request; [1] to the banquet [3] which I will prepare for them, [2] as the king has said.” [1] |

9 And Haman went out [3] that day, [2] and glad of heart; [1] in the gate of the king, [3] and he didn't tremble before him, [2] toward Mordecai [2] with rage. [1] |

10 But Haman restrained himself, [2] and he went [2] to his house; [1] and he gathered his friends, [2] and Zeresh his wife. [1] |

11 And Haman recounted to them [3] the splendor of his wealth, [2] and the multitude of his sons; [1] and that he had exalted him [2] and the servants of the king. [1] |

12 וַיֹּ֘אמֶר֮ [3 3] Zarqa הָמָן֒ [2] Segol אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖תָה [2] Tip'cha כִּ֣י אִם־אוֹתִ֑י [1] Etnachta אֲנִ֥י קָֽרוּא־לָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha עִם־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And he said, [3 3] Haman, [2] to the banquet which she had prepared, [2] but myself; [1] I am invited by her, [2] with the king. [1] |

13 וְכׇל־זֶ֕ה [2] ZaqefG אֵינֶ֥נּוּ שֹׁוֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לִ֑י [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲנִ֤י רֹאֶה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־מׇרְדֳּכַ֣י הַיְּהוּדִ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּשַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 Yet all this, [2] it isn't enough [2] for me; [1] as I see [3] Mordecai the Jew, [2] at the gate of the king.” [1] |

14 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לוֹ֩ זֶ֨רֶשׁ אִשְׁתּ֜וֹ [4] Geresh וְכׇל־אֹֽהֲבָ֗יו [3] Revi'i גָּבֹ֣הַּ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אַמָּה֒ [2] Segol אֱמֹ֣ר לַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i עָלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef שָׂמֵ֑חַ [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֥י הָמָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq ס |
14 Then Zeresh his wife said to him, [4] and all his friends, [3] fifty cubits high, [2] speak to the king [3] on it. [2] joyfully.” [1] to Haman, [2] so he made the gallows. [1] § |

2 And it was found recorded [3] about Bigthana and Teresh, [3] of the eunuchs of the king, [2] of the threshold; [1] to lay hands [2] Ahasuerus. [1] |

3 And the king said, [2] of honor and greatness [3] for Mordecai [2] regarding this?” [1] the young men of the king, [3 3] his servants, [2] anything.” [1] |

9 And let the clothing be put [4] and the horse, [3] one of the officials of the king [3 3] who is noble, [2] the man [2] he delights in his honor; [1] through the city square, [2] it shall be done for the man [2] he delights in his honor!’ ” [1] |

10 And the king said [4] to Haman, [3] take the clothing and the horse, [3] just as you have said, [2] for Mordecai the Jew [2] at the gate of the king. [1] of all [2] that you have spoken.” [1] |

11 And Haman took [3] the clothing and the horse, [2] Mordecai; [1] through the city square, [2] it shall be done for the man [2] he delights in his honor!” [1] |

12 And Mordecai returned [2] to the gate of the king; [1] he hurried to his house, [2] and with head covered. [1] |

13 And Haman recounted [4] to Zeresh his wife [3] and to all his friends [2] everything that had happened to him; [1] and Zeresh his wife, [3] Mordecai [4] before whom you have begun to fall, [3] you will not prevail against him, [2] before him.” [1] |

4 For we have been sold, [3 3] I and my people, [2] to kill and to destroy; [1] we had been sold as male and female slaves, [3 3] I would have held my peace, [2] worth [2] burdening the king.” [1] § |
