1 After [4] these things, [3] Haman the son of Hammedatha, [3] the Agagite, [2] his seat [2] all the officials [2] who were with him. [1] |

2 וְכׇל־עַבְדֵ֨י הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh אֲשֶׁר־בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i לְהָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef צִוָּה־ל֣וֹ הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א יִכְרַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha וְלֹ֥א יִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And all the servants of the king [4] who were in the gate of the king [3] to Haman, [2] the king had commanded concerning him; [1] he didn’t kneel [2] and he didn't bow down. [1] |

3 וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ [4] Geresh עַבְדֵ֥י הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־בְּשַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha לְמׇרְדֳּכָ֑י [1] Etnachta אַתָּ֣ה עוֹבֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef מִצְוַ֥ת הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Then they said, [4] the servants of the king [3] who were in the gate of the king, [2] to Mordecai; [1] do you disobey [2] the commandment of the king?” [1] |

4 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i *באמרם **כְּאׇמְרָ֤ם אֵלָיו֙ [3] Pashta י֣וֹם וָי֔וֹם [2] Zaqef אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta לִרְאוֹת֙ [3] Pashta הֲיַֽעַמְדוּ֙ [3] Pashta דִּבְרֵ֣י מׇרְדֳּכַ֔י [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־ה֥וּא יְהוּדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And it was, [3] when they spoke to him [3] day after day [2] to them; [1] to see [3] whether they would stand, [3] the words of Mordecai, [2] that he was a Jew. [1] |

5 And when Haman saw [2] that Mordecai was not [2] kneeling and bowing down [2] to him; [1] rage. [1] |

6 וַיִּ֣בֶז בְּעֵינָ֗יו [3] Revi'i לִשְׁלֹ֤חַ יָד֙ [3] Pashta בְּמׇרְדֳּכַ֣י לְבַדּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אֶת־עַ֣ם מׇרְדֳּכָ֑י [1] Etnachta לְהַשְׁמִ֧יד אֶת־כׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֛ים [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁ֛ר [3] Tevir בְּכׇל־מַלְכ֥וּת אֲחַשְׁוֵר֖וֹשׁ [2] Tip'cha |
6 But it wasn't enough in his eyes, [3] to lay hands [3] on Mordecai, him alone, [2] the people of Mordecai; [1] to annihilate all the Jews [3] who [3] were in all the kingdom of Ahasuerus, [2] |

8 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הָמָן֙ [3] Pashta לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ [2] Zaqef מְפֻזָּ֤ר וּמְפֹרָד֙ [3] Pashta בֵּ֣ין הָֽעַמִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef מְדִינ֣וֹת מַלְכוּתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta שֹׁנ֣וֹת מִכׇּל־עָ֗ם [3] Revi'i אֵינָ֣ם עֹשִׂ֔ים [2] Zaqef לְהַנִּיחָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And Haman said [3] to King Ahasuerus, [2] scattered and dispersed [3] among the peoples [2] the provinces of your kingdom; [1] are different from all other people, [3] they don’t keep, [2] to let them remain. [1] |

9 אִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef יִכָּתֵ֖ב [2] Tip'cha לְאַבְּדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta כִּכַּר־כֶּ֗סֶף [3] Revi'i עַל־יְדֵי֙ [3] Pashta עֹשֵׂ֣י הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶל־גִּנְזֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 If it seems good to the king, [2] let it be written [2] to destroy them; [1] talents of silver [3] into the hands [3] of the administrators, [2] into the treasuries of the king.” [1] |

10 וַיָּ֧סַר הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ [3] Tevir אֶת־טַבַּעְתּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha מֵעַ֣ל יָד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta לְהָמָ֧ן בֶּֽן־הַמְּדָ֛תָא [3] Tevir הָאֲגָגִ֖י [2] Tip'cha צֹרֵ֥ר הַיְּהוּדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And the king removed [3] his signet ring [2] from his hand; [1] to Haman the son of Hammedatha [3] the Agagite, [2] the enemy of the Jews. [1] |

11 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta לְהָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef נָת֣וּן לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת בּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha כַּטּ֥וֹב בְּעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And the king said [3 3] to Haman, [2] is given to you; [1] to do with it [2] as it seems good in your eyes.” [1] |

12 וַיִּקָּרְאוּ֩ סֹפְרֵ֨י הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן [3] Revi'i בּוֹ֒ [2] Segol אֶ֣ל אֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנֵֽי־הַ֠מֶּ֠לֶךְ [4 4] TelishaG וְֽאֶל־הַפַּח֞וֹת [4] Gershayim אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ [4] Legarmeh עַל־מְדִינָ֣ה וּמְדִינָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef כִּכְתָבָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef כִּלְשׁוֹנ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta נִכְתָּ֔ב [2] Zaqef בְּטַבַּ֥עַת הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 Then the scribes of the king were summoned [4] in the first month, [3] of it, [2] to the local governors of the king, [4 4] and to the governors [4] who [4] were over each province, [3] after people, [2] according to its writing, [2] according to its language; [1] written, [2] with the signet ring of the king. 13 וְנִשְׁל֨וֹחַ סְפָרִ֜ים [4] Geresh בְּיַ֣ד הָרָצִים֮ [3] Zarqa אֶל־כׇּל־מְדִינ֣וֹת הַמֶּ֒לֶךְ֒ [2 2] Segol לַהֲרֹ֣ג וּלְאַבֵּ֣ד אֶת־כׇּל־הַ֠יְּהוּדִ֠ים [4 4] TelishaG מִנַּ֨עַר וְעַד־זָקֵ֜ן [4] Geresh טַ֤ף וְנָשִׁים֙ [3] Pashta לְחֹ֥דֶשׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha הוּא־חֹ֣דֶשׁ אֲדָ֑ר [1] Etnachta לָבֽוֹז׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And letters were sent [4] by the hand of the couriers, [3] to all the provinces of the king, [2 2] to kill and to destroy all the Jews, [4 4] both young and old, [4] little children and women, [3] of month two and ten, [2] which is the month of Adar; [1] to take as plunder. [1] |
