1 וַיָּבֹ֤א הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְהָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
לִשְׁתּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
עִם־אֶסְתֵּ֥ר הַמַּלְכָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 So the king went [3 3]
and Haman, [2]
 
to drink [2]
with Esther the queen. [1]
2 וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּ֜ר [4] Geresh
גַּ֣ם בַּיּ֤וֹם הַשֵּׁנִי֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמִשְׁתֵּ֣ה הַיַּ֔יִן [2] Zaqef
 
מַה־שְּׁאֵלָתֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
אֶסְתֵּ֥ר הַמַּלְכָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְתִנָּ֣תֵֽן לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
עַד־חֲצִ֥י הַמַּלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha
וְתֵעָֽשׂ׃ [1] Silluq

again on the second day [3]
at the banquet of wine, [2]
 
“What is your petition, [3]
O Esther the queen? [2]
and it shall be granted to you; [1]
 
and what is your request? [3]
up to half of the kingdom, [2]
and it shall be done.” [1]
3 וַתַּ֨עַן אֶסְתֵּ֤ר הַמַּלְכָּה֙ [3] Pashta
וַתֹּאמַ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
אִם־מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
ט֑וֹב [1] Etnachta
 
תִּנָּֽתֶן־לִ֤י נַפְשִׁי֙ [3] Pashta
בִּשְׁאֵ֣לָתִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּבַקָּשָׁתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

and she said, [2]
 
“If I have found favor in your eyes [3 3]
O king, [2]
 
and if to the king it seems [2]
good; [1]
 
let my life be given to me [3]
for my petition, [2]
 
and my people [2]
for my request. [1]
4 כִּ֤י נִמְכַּ֙רְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲנִ֣י וְעַמִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
לְהַשְׁמִ֖יד [2] Tip'cha
לַהֲר֣וֹג וּלְאַבֵּ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וְ֠אִלּ֠וּ [4 4] TelishaG
לַעֲבָדִ֨ים וְלִשְׁפָח֤וֹת נִמְכַּ֙רְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הֶחֱרַ֔שְׁתִּי [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין הַצָּ֛ר [3] Tevir
שֹׁוֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּנֵ֥זֶק הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

I and my people, [2]
 
to annihilate, [2]
to kill and to destroy; [1]
 
now if [4 4]
we had been sold as male and female slaves, [3 3]
I would have held my peace, [2]
 
for the trouble wouldn't be [3]
worth [2]
burdening the king.” [1]

5 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
לְאֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
מִ֣י ה֥וּא זֶה֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֵֽי־זֶ֣ה ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־מְלָא֥וֹ לִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת כֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq

King Ahasuerus, [2]
 
and he said [2]
to Esther the queen; [1]
 
“Who is this, [3]
and where is he [2]
 
who dared presume in his heart [2]
to do this?” [1]
6 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אֶסְתֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
אִ֚ישׁ [3] Yetiv
צַ֣ר וְאוֹיֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
הָמָ֥ן הָרָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָמָ֣ן נִבְעַ֔ת [2] Zaqef
מִלִּפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
וְהַמַּלְכָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 2 6 And Esther said, [2]
 
“A man, [3]
an adversary and an enemy, [2]
 
the wicked Haman [2]
this!” [1]
 
Then Haman was terrified [2]
before the king [2]
and the queen. [1]
7 וְהַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh
קָ֤ם בַּחֲמָתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
מִמִּשְׁתֵּ֣ה הַיַּ֔יִן [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־גִּנַּ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
הַבִּיתָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָמָ֣ן עָמַ֗ד [3] Revi'i
לְבַקֵּ֤שׁ עַל־נַפְשׁוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
מֵֽאֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֣י רָאָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־כָלְתָ֥ה אֵלָ֛יו [3] Tevir
הָרָעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵאֵ֥ת הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

he rose up in his rage [3]
from the banquet of wine [2]
 
into the garden [2]
of the palace; [1]
 
and Haman remained [3]
to plead for his life [3]
from Esther the queen, [2]
 
for he saw [2]
 
that it was determined against him [3]
harm [2]
from the king. [1]
8 וְהַמֶּ֡לֶךְ [4] Pazer
שָׁב֩ מִגִּנַּ֨ת הַבִּיתָ֜ן [4] Geresh
אֶל־בֵּ֣ית ׀ [4] Legarmeh
מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה הַיַּ֗יִן [3] Revi'i
 
וְהָמָן֙ [3] Pashta
נֹפֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i
עַל־הַמִּטָּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶסְתֵּ֣ר עָלֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
הֲ֠גַ֠ם [4 4] TelishaG
לִכְבּ֧וֹשׁ אֶת־הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
עִמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בַּבָּ֑יִת [1] Etnachta
 
הַדָּבָ֗ר [3] Revi'i
יָצָא֙ [3] Pashta
מִפִּ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וּפְנֵ֥י הָמָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
חָפֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

he returned from the garden of the palace [4]
to the house [4]
of the banquet of wine, [3]
 
and Haman [3]
was falling [3]
on the couch [3]
where Esther was, [2]
 
so the king said, [2]
 
“And [4 4]
to violate the queen [3]
with me [2]
in the house?” [1]
 
As the word [3]
came out [3]
from the mouth of the king, [2]
 
the face of Haman, [2]
they covered. [1]

9 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר חַ֠רְבוֹנָ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG
אֶחָ֨ד מִן־הַסָּרִיסִ֜ים [4] Geresh
לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
 
גַּ֣ם הִנֵּה־הָעֵ֣ץ אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֪ה הָמָ֟ן [4] Qarnei Farah
לְֽמׇרְדֳּכַ֞י [4] Gershayim
אֲשֶׁ֧ר דִּבֶּר־ט֣וֹב עַל־הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
 
עֹמֵד֙ [3] Pashta
בְּבֵ֣ית הָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
גָּבֹ֖הַּ [2] Tip'cha
חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אַמָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
תְּלֻ֥הוּ עָלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

one of the eunuchs [4]
before the king, [3]
 
“And behold, the gallows which Haman has made, [4]
for Mordecai [4]
who spoke good for the king, [3]
 
is standing [3]
at the house of Haman, [2]
 
in height [2]
fifty cubits.” [1]
 
And the king said, [2]
“Hang him on it!” [1]
10 וַיִּתְלוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־הָעֵ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־הֵכִ֣ין לְמׇרְדֳּכָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַחֲמַ֥ת הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
שָׁכָֽכָה׃ [1] Silluq

Haman, [2]
 
on the gallows [2]
which he had prepared for Mordecai; [1]
 
and the wrath of the king, [2]
it subsided. [1]
