1 Now in month two and ten [4] which is the month of Adar, [3] of it, [2] and his decree [2] to be accomplished; [1] the enemies of the Jews, [3] to prevail over them - [2] they [2] over those who hated them, [1] |

2 the Jews assembled [4] in their cities [3] of the King Ahasuerus, [2] on those seeking [2] their harm; [1] none who stood before them, [2] on all the peoples. [1] |

11 On that day, [3] it came, the number of those killed [3] in Susa the citadel, [2] before the king. [1] |

12 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh לְאֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i הָרְגוּ֩ הַיְּהוּדִ֨ים וְאַבֵּ֜ד [4] Geresh חֲמֵ֧שׁ מֵא֣וֹת אִ֗ישׁ [3] Revi'i עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת בְּנֵֽי־הָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef מְדִינ֥וֹת הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha מֶ֣ה עָשׂ֑וּ [1] Etnachta וְיִנָּ֣תֵֽן לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef וְתֵעָֽשׂ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And the king said [4] to Esther the queen, [3] the Jews have killed and they have destroyed [4] five hundred men, [3] the ten sons of Haman, [2] of the provinces of the king [2] what then have they done? [1] and it shall be granted to you, [2] and it shall be done.” [1] |

13 וַתֹּ֤אמֶר אֶסְתֵּר֙ [3] Pashta אִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef לַיְּהוּדִים֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּשׁוּשָׁ֔ן [2] Zaqef כְּדָ֣ת הַיּ֑וֹם [1] Etnachta עֲשֶׂ֥רֶת בְּנֵֽי־הָמָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha יִתְל֥וּ עַל־הָעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And Esther said, [3] “If it seems good to the king, [2] to the Jews [3] who are in Susa, [2] according to the decree of this day; [1] the ten sons of Haman, [2] let them be hanged on the gallows.” [1] |

14 And the king commanded [3 3] this to be done, [2] in Susa; [1] the ten sons of Haman [2] were hanged. [1] |

15 וַיִּֽקָּהֲל֞וּ [4] Gershayim *היהודיים **הַיְּהוּדִ֣ים אֲשֶׁר־בְּשׁוּשָׁ֗ן [3] Revi'i בְּי֣וֹם אַרְבָּעָ֤ה עָשָׂר֙ [3] Pashta לְחֹ֣דֶשׁ אֲדָ֔ר [2] Zaqef שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha אִ֑ישׁ [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א שָׁלְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־יָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And they assembled, [4] the Jews who were in Susa, [3] on day fourteen [3] of the month of Adar, [2] three hundred [2] men; [1] they didn’t lay [2] their hand. [1] |

16 וּשְׁאָ֣ר הַיְּהוּדִ֡ים [4] Pazer אֲשֶׁר֩ בִּמְדִינ֨וֹת הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh נִקְהֲל֣וּ ׀ [4] Legarmeh וְעָמֹ֣ד עַל־נַפְשָׁ֗ם [3] Revi'i מֵאֹ֣יְבֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef בְּשֹׂ֣נְאֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אָ֑לֶף [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א שָֽׁלְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־יָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And the other Jews [4] who were in the provinces of the king, [4] they assembled [4] and defended their lives, [3] from their enemies, [2] among those who hated them [2] thousand; [1] they didn’t lay [2] their hand, [1] |

17 on day thirteen [2] of the month of Adar; [1] on day fourteen [3] of it, [2] a day [2] of feasting and joy. [1] |

18 But the Jews who were in Susa, [3] they assembled [3] on (day) thirteen [3] of it, [2] of it; [1] on (day) fifteen [3] of it, [2] a day [2] of feasting and joy. [1] |

21 to establish [3] on them, [2] day fourteen [3] of the month of Adar, [2] day fifteen [2] of it; [1] and year, [1] |

22 כַּיָּמִ֗ים [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁר־נָ֨חוּ בָהֶ֤ם הַיְּהוּדִים֙ [3] Pashta מֵאֹ֣יְבֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר֩ נֶהְפַּ֨ךְ לָהֶ֤ם מִיָּגוֹן֙ [3] Pashta לְשִׂמְחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לְי֣וֹם ט֑וֹב [1] Etnachta יְמֵי֙ [3] Pashta מִשְׁתֶּ֣ה וְשִׂמְחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אִ֣ישׁ לְרֵעֵ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef לָֽאֶבְיֹנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |

24 כִּי֩ הָמָ֨ן בֶּֽן־הַמְּדָ֜תָא [4] Geresh הָֽאֲגָגִ֗י [3] Revi'i כׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לְאַבְּדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta ה֣וּא הַגּוֹרָ֔ל [2] Zaqef וּֽלְאַבְּדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
24 for Haman the son of Hammedatha [4] the Agagite, [3] of all the Jews, [2] to destroy them; [1] that is the lot, [2] and to destroy them, [1] |

25 but when it came [3] before the king, [2 2] his evil plan [3] which he had planned against the Jews, [2] on his own head; [1] and his sons, [2] on the gallows. [1] |

26 Therefore [4] they called these days “Purim”, [3] from the name of the “Pur.” [2] because of all the words [2] of this letter; [1] and what had happened [2] to them, [1] |

27 the Jews established and accepted on themselves and on their descendants [4] and on all who joined themselves to them, [3] so it would not fail, [2] the two days [3] these, [2] and according to its appointed time; [1] and year, [1] |
