הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
לְצֵ֥את בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
בָּ֖אוּ [2] Tip'cha
מִדְבַּ֥ר סִינָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

the third, [2]
 
after the going out of the children of Israel [2]
from the land of Egypt; [1]
 
on this day [2]
they arrived [2]
(at) the wilderness of Sinai. [1]
2 וַיִּסְע֣וּ מֵרְפִידִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מִדְבַּ֣ר סִינַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיַּחֲנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּֽחַן־שָׁ֥ם יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
נֶ֥גֶד הָהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 2 For they had departed from Rephidim, [3]
and they had come to [3 3]
the wilderness of Sinai, [2]
 
and they set up camp [2]
in the wilderness; [1]
 
and there Israel camped [2]
before the mountain. [1]
3 וּמֹשֶׁ֥ה עָלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרָ֨א אֵלָ֤יו יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
מִן־הָהָ֣ר לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֤ה תֹאמַר֙ [3] Pashta
לְבֵ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְתַגֵּ֖יד [2] Tip'cha
לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

to God; [1]
 
and the LORD called to him [3]
from the mountain saying, [2]
 
“Thus you shall say [3]
to the house of Jacob, [2]
 
and tell [2]
to the children of Israel, [1]
4 אַתֶּ֣ם רְאִיתֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי [2] Tip'cha
לְמִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וָאֶשָּׂ֤א אֶתְכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־כַּנְפֵ֣י נְשָׁרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וָאָבִ֥א אֶתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֵלָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 2 4 ‘You, you have seen [2]
what I did [2]
to the Egyptians; [1]
 
and I carried you [3]
on wings of eagles, [2]
 
and I brought you [2]
to myself. [1]
5 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
אִם־שָׁמ֤וֹעַ תִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּקֹלִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וִהְיִ֨יתֶם לִ֤י סְגֻלָּה֙ [3] Pashta
מִכׇּל־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
כִּי־לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

if you will carefully listen [3]
to my voice [2]
 
and keep [2]
my covenant; [1]
 
then you shall be my possession [3]
from among all peoples, [2]
 
for mine [2]
is all the earth, [1]
6 וְאַתֶּ֧ם תִּהְיוּ־לִ֛י [3] Tevir
מַמְלֶ֥כֶת כֹּהֲנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְג֣וֹי קָד֑וֹשׁ [1] Etnachta
 
אֵ֚לֶּה [3] Yetiv
הַדְּבָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּדַבֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 6 and you, you shall be for me [3]
a kingdom of priests, [2]
and a holy nation.’ [1]
 
These [3]
are the words [2]
 
which you shall speak [2]
to the children of Israel.” [1]
7 וַיָּבֹ֣א מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
וַיִּקְרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
לְזִקְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֣שֶׂם לִפְנֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he called for [2]
the elders of the people; [1]
 
and he put before them [3]
-- [3]
all these words [2]
 
which he had commanded him, [2]
the LORD. [1]
8 וַיַּעֲנ֨וּ כׇל־הָעָ֤ם יַחְדָּו֙ [3] Pashta
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֛ל [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נַעֲשֶׂ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֧שֶׁב מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֥י הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 8 And all the people answered together [3]
and they said, [2]
 
“All [3]
that the LORD has spoken, [2]
we will do.” [1]
 
And Moses brought back [3]
the words of the people [2]
to the LORD. [1]
9 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
הִנֵּ֨ה אָנֹכִ֜י [4] Geresh
בָּ֣א אֵלֶ֘יךָ֮ [3 3] Zarqa
בְּעַ֣ב הֶֽעָנָן֒ [2] Segol
 
בַּעֲב֞וּר [4] Gershayim
יִשְׁמַ֤ע הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּדַבְּרִ֣י עִמָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְגַם־בְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ לְעוֹלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּגֵּ֥ד מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֥י הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [3]
 
“Behold I [4]
am about to come to you [3 3]
in a thick cloud, [2]
 
so that [4]
the people will hear [3]
when I speak with you, [2]
 
and also in you [2]
they will trust forever.” [1]
 
Then Moses told [3]
the words of the people [2]
to the LORD. [1]
10 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
לֵ֣ךְ אֶל־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֥ם הַיּ֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
וּמָחָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְכִבְּס֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
שִׂמְלֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 10 And the LORD said to Moses, [3]
“Go to the people, [2]
 
and you will sanctify them today [2]
and tomorrow. [1]
 
Let them wash [2]
their clothes, [1]
11 וְהָי֥וּ נְכֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לַיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
יֵרֵ֧ד יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
לְעֵינֵ֥י כׇל־הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
 
עַל־הַ֥ר סִינָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 4 3 11 and they will be prepared [2]
for the third day; [1]
 
for [4]
on the third day [3]
 
the LORD will come down [3]
in the sight of all the people, [2]
 
on Mount Sinai. [1]
12 וְהִגְבַּלְתָּ֤ אֶת־הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta
סָבִ֣יב לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
הִשָּׁמְר֥וּ לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
עֲל֥וֹת בָּהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וּנְגֹ֣עַ בְּקָצֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ בָּהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מ֥וֹת יוּמָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 12 And you shall set boundaries for the people [3]
all around saying, [2]
 
‘Be careful of yourselves [3]
going up onto the mountain, [2]
or touching its edge; [1]
 
whoever touches the mountain [2]
shall surely be put to death. [1]
13 לֹא־תִגַּ֨ע בּ֜וֹ [4] Geresh
יָ֗ד [3] Revi'i
 
כִּֽי־סָק֤וֹל יִסָּקֵל֙ [3] Pashta
אוֹ־יָרֹ֣ה יִיָּרֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אִם־בְּהֵמָ֥ה אִם־אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א יִחְיֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
בִּמְשֹׁךְ֙ [3] Pashta
הַיֹּבֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
הֵ֖מָּה [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲל֥וּ בָהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 13 It shall not touch him, [4]
a hand, [3]
 
but he shall surely be stoned [3]
or he shall surely be shot, [2]
 
whether an animal or a man, [2]
he shall not live.’ [1]
 
When sounds [3]
the shofar, [2]
 
they, [2]
they shall come up on the mountain.” [1]
14 וַיֵּ֧רֶד מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
מִן־הָהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְקַדֵּשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיְכַבְּס֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
שִׂמְלֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 14 Then Moses went down [3]
from the mountain [2]
to the people; [1]
 
and he consecrated [3]
the people [2]
 
and they washed [2]
their clothes. [1]
15 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
הֱי֥וּ נְכֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לִשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
אַֽל־תִּגְּשׁ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אִשָּֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 15 And he said [3 3]
to the people, [2]
 
“Be prepared [2]
for the third day; [1]
 
do not draw near [2]
to a woman.” [1]
16 וַיְהִי֩ בַיּ֨וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֜י [4] Geresh
בִּֽהְיֹ֣ת הַבֹּ֗קֶר [3] Revi'i
 
וַיְהִי֩ קֹלֹ֨ת וּבְרָקִ֜ים [4] Geresh
וְעָנָ֤ן כָּבֵד֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הָהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְקֹ֥ל שֹׁפָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
חָזָ֣ק מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֶּחֱרַ֥ד כׇּל־הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 4 2 2 16 And it was, on the third day [4]
when the morning came, [3]
 
there were thunder claps and lightning [4]
and a thick cloud [3]
on the mountain, [2]
 
and the blast of a shofar [2]
very loud; [1]
 
and all the people trembled [2]
who were in the camp. [1]
17 וַיּוֹצֵ֨א מֹשֶׁ֧ה אֶת־הָעָ֛ם [3] Tevir
לִקְרַ֥את הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּתַחְתִּ֥ית הָהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 17 Then Moses brought out the people [3]
to meet God [2]
from the camp; [1]
 
and they stood [2]
at the lower part of the mountain. [1]
18 וְהַ֤ר סִינַי֙ [3] Pashta
עָשַׁ֣ן כֻּלּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
מִ֠פְּנֵ֠י [4 4] TelishaG
אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרַ֥ד עָלָ֛יו [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בָּאֵ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּ֤עַל עֲשָׁנוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
כְּעֶ֣שֶׁן הַכִּבְשָׁ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֶּחֱרַ֥ד כׇּל־הָהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 4 2 3 2 18 Now Mount Sinai, [3]
all of it was smoking, [2]
 
because [4 4]
he had descended on it, [3]
the LORD, [2]
in fire; [1]
 
and its smoke ascended [3]
like the smoke of a furnace, [2]
 
and the whole mountain quaked [2]
greatly. [1]
19 וַיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta
ק֣וֹל הַשֹּׁפָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
הוֹלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
וְחָזֵ֣ק מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
מֹשֶׁ֣ה יְדַבֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
וְהָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲנֶ֥נּוּ בְקֽוֹל׃ [1] Silluq

the sound of the shofar [2]
 
grew [2]
very strong; [1]
 
Moses spoke, [2]
and God, [2]
he answered him with a thunderous sound. [1]
20 וַיֵּ֧רֶד יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
עַל־הַ֥ר סִינַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־רֹ֣אשׁ הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרָ֨א יְהֹוָ֧ה לְמֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶל־רֹ֥אשׁ הָהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וַיַּ֥עַל מֹשֶֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 20 Then the LORD came down [3]
onto Mount Sinai, [2]
to the top of the mountain; [1]
 
and the LORD called Moses [3]
to the top of the mountain, [2]
and Moses went up. [1]
21 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
רֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
הָעֵ֣ד בָּעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־יֶהֶרְס֤וּ אֶל־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
לִרְא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְנָפַ֥ל מִמֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha
רָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 21 Then the LORD said [3]
to Moses, [2]
 
“Go down, [2]
warn the people; [1]
 
lest they break through to the LORD [3]
to see, [2]
 
and of them will perish [2]
many. [1]
22 וְגַ֧ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים [3] Tevir
הַנִּגָּשִׁ֥ים אֶל־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יִתְקַדָּ֑שׁוּ [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־יִפְרֹ֥ץ בָּהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 22 And also the priests [3]
who come near to the LORD [2]
must consecrate themselves; [1]
 
lest he should break out against them, [2]
the LORD.” [1]
23 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לֹא־יוּכַ֣ל הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
לַעֲלֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הַ֣ר סִינָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־אַתָּ֞ה [4] Gershayim
הַעֵדֹ֤תָה בָּ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
הַגְבֵּ֥ל אֶת־הָהָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וְקִדַּשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 4 2 23 And Moses said [3]
to the LORD, [2]
 
“The people are not able [2]
to come up [2]
to Mount Sinai; [1]
 
for you, [4]
you warned us [3 3]
saying, [2]
 
‘Set boundaries around the mountain [2]
and consecrate it.’ ” [1]
24 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֤יו יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
לֶךְ־רֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
וְעָלִ֥יתָ אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְאַהֲרֹ֣ן עִמָּ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהָעָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אַל־יֶֽהֶרְס֛וּ [3] Tevir
לַעֲלֹ֥ת אֶל־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
פֶּן־יִפְרׇץ־בָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 24 Then the LORD said to him, [3]
“Go, go down! [2]
 
And you shall come up, you [2]
and Aaron with you; [1]
 
but the priests and the people, [3]
do not let them break through [3]
to come up to the LORD, [2]
lest he should break out against them.” [1]
25 וַיֵּ֥רֶד מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
