1 וְאֶל־מֹשֶׁ֨ה אָמַ֜ר [4] Geresh עֲלֵ֣ה אֶל־יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְאַהֲרֹן֙ [3] Pashta נָדָ֣ב וַאֲבִיה֔וּא [2] Zaqef מִזִּקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta מֵרָחֹֽק׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Then to Moses he said, [4] “Come up to the LORD, [3] and Aaron [3] Nadab and Abihu, [2] elders of Israel; [1] from afar. [1] |

2 וְנִגַּ֨שׁ מֹשֶׁ֤ה לְבַדּוֹ֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֹ֣א יִגָּ֑שׁוּ [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א יַעֲל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha עִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And Moses alone shall draw near [3] to the LORD, [2] they may not draw near; [1] they shall not go up [2] with him.” [1] |

3 וַיָּבֹ֣א מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i וַיְסַפֵּ֤ר לָעָם֙ [3] Pashta אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef כׇּל־הַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֑ים [1] Etnachta ק֤וֹל אֶחָד֙ [3] Pashta וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha נַעֲשֶֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 So Moses came [3] and he told the people [3] -- [3] all the words of the LORD, [2] all the ordinances; [1] with one voice [3] and they said, [2] which the LORD has spoken, [2] will we do.” [1] |

4 וַיִּכְתֹּ֣ב מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וַיִּ֥בֶן מִזְבֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha תַּ֣חַת הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta מַצֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef שִׁבְטֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
4 So Moses wrote down [3] -- [3] all the words of the LORD, [2] and he built an altar [2] below the mountain; [1] pillars [2] tribes of Israel. [1] |

5 וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח [3] Revi'i אֶֽת־נַעֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef עֹלֹ֑ת [1] Etnachta זְבָחִ֧ים שְׁלָמִ֛ים [3] Tevir לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha פָּרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
5 Then he sent [3] young men [3] of the children of Israel, [2] burnt offerings; [1] peace offerings [3] to the LORD [2] of young bulls. [1] |

6 וַיִּקַּ֤ח מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta חֲצִ֣י הַדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef בָּאַגָּנֹ֑ת [1] Etnachta זָרַ֖ק [2] Tip'cha עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 Then Moses took [3] half of the blood [2] in bowls; [1] he sprinkled [2] on the altar. [1] |

7 וַיִּקַּח֙ [3] Pashta סֵ֣פֶר הַבְּרִ֔ית [2] Zaqef בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha נַעֲשֶׂ֥ה וְנִשְׁמָֽע׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And he took [3] the book of the covenant [2] in the hearing of the people; [1] that the LORD has spoken, [2] we will do and we will obey.” [1] |

8 וַיִּקַּ֤ח מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef עַל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta הִנֵּ֤ה דַֽם־הַבְּרִית֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּרַ֤ת יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta עִמָּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Then Moses took [3] the blood, [2] on the people; [1] “Behold, the blood of the covenant [3] which the LORD has made [3] with you, [2] these.” [1] |

9 וַיַּ֥עַל מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וְאַהֲרֹ֑ן [1] Etnachta וַאֲבִיה֔וּא [2] Zaqef מִזִּקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
9 Then Moses went up, [2] and Aaron; [1] and Abihu, [2] of the elders of Israel. [1] |

10 וַיִּרְא֕וּ [2] ZaqefG אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta כְּמַעֲשֵׂה֙ [3] Pashta לִבְנַ֣ת הַסַּפִּ֔יר [2] Zaqef לָטֹֽהַר׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And they saw [2] -- [2] the God of Israel; [1] was like a work [3] of pavement of sapphire, [2] for clearness. [1] |

11 וְאֶל־אֲצִילֵי֙ [3] Pashta בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef יָד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וַיִּשְׁתּֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq ס |
11 Yet against the nobles [3] of the children of Israel [2] his hand; [1] God, [2] and they drank. [1] § |

12 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i הָהָ֖רָה [2] Tip'cha אֶת־לֻחֹ֣ת הָאֶ֗בֶן [3] Revi'i וְהַמִּצְוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לְהוֹרֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
12 Then the LORD said [4] to Moses, [3] on the mountain, [2] the tablets of stone [3] and the commandments, [2] for their instruction.” [1] |

13 וַיָּ֣קׇם מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef וִיהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ [2] Tip'cha מְשָׁרְת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta אֶל־הַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
13 So Moses rose up [2] with Joshua [2] his servant; [1] onto the Mountain of God. [1] |

14 וְאֶל־הַזְּקֵנִ֤ים אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta שְׁבוּ־לָ֣נוּ בָזֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta עִמָּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef יִגַּ֥שׁ אֲלֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And to the elders he said, [3] “Wait for us here [2] to you; [1] are with you, [2] he should go to them.” [1] |

15 וַיַּ֥עַל מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
15 When Moses went up [2] on the mountain; [1] the mountain. [1] |

16 וַיִּשְׁכֹּ֤ן כְּבוֹד־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta עַל־הַ֣ר סִינַ֔י [2] Zaqef שֵׁ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta בַּיּ֥וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֖י [2] Tip'cha מִתּ֥וֹךְ הֶעָנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And the glory of the LORD settled [3] upon Mount Sinai, [2] six days; [1] on the seventh day [2] from the midst of the cloud. [1] |

17 וּמַרְאֵה֙ [3] Pashta כְּב֣וֹד יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּרֹ֣אשׁ הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And the appearance [3] of the glory of the LORD [2] on the top of the mountain; [1] of the children of Israel. [1] |

18 וַיָּבֹ֥א מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir בְּת֥וֹךְ הֶעָנָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha וַיַּ֣עַל אֶל־הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta בָּהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef וְאַרְבָּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לָֽיְלָה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
18 So Moses entered [3] into the midst of the cloud, [2] and he went up onto the mountain; [1] on the mountain [2] and forty [2] nights. [1] ¶ |
