1 “And you shall make an altar [2] on which to burn incense; [1] you shall make it. [1] |

2 אַמָּ֨ה אׇרְכּ֜וֹ [4] Geresh וְאַמָּ֤ה רׇחְבּוֹ֙ [3] Pashta רָב֣וּעַ יִהְיֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef קֹמָת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta קַרְנֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
2 A cubit shall be its length [4] and a cubit its width, [3] square it shall be, [2] its height; [1] shall be its horns. [1] |

3 וְצִפִּיתָ֨ אֹת֜וֹ [4] Geresh זָהָ֣ב טָה֗וֹר [3] Revi'i סָבִ֖יב [2] Tip'cha זֵ֥ר זָהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha סָבִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And you shall overlay it [4] with pure gold, [3] all around, [2] a molding of gold [2] all around. [1] |

4 וּשְׁתֵּי֩ טַבְּעֹ֨ת זָהָ֜ב [4] Geresh תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־לּ֣וֹ ׀ [4] Legarmeh מִתַּ֣חַת לְזֵר֗וֹ [3] Revi'i שְׁתֵּ֣י צַלְעֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef עַל־שְׁנֵ֣י צִדָּ֑יו [1] Etnachta לְבָתִּ֣ים לְבַדִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef בָּהֵֽמָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And two gold rings [4] you shall make for it [4] under its molding, [3] its two ribs, [2] on its two sides; [1] holders for poles, [2] by them. [1] |

5 וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ אֶת־הַבַּדִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עֲצֵ֣י שִׁטִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta זָהָֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And you shall make the poles [2] of acacia wood; [1] with gold. [1] |

6 וְנָתַתָּ֤ה אֹתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta לִפְנֵ֣י הַפָּרֹ֔כֶת [2] Zaqef עַל־אֲרֹ֣ן הָעֵדֻ֑ת [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta עַל־הָ֣עֵדֻ֔ת [2] Zaqef אִוָּעֵ֥ד לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha שָֽׁמָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And you shall set it [3] in front of the curtain [2] is in front of the ark of the testimony; [1] which [3] is over the testimony, [2] I will meet with you [2] there. [1] |

7 וְהִקְטִ֥יר עָלָ֛יו [3] Tevir אַהֲרֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha קְטֹ֣רֶת סַמִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta בְּהֵיטִיב֛וֹ [3] Tevir אֶת־הַנֵּרֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha יַקְטִירֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And he shall burn on it, [3] Aaron, [2] incense of sweet spices; [1] when he tends [3] the lamps, [2] he shall burn it. [1] |

8 וּבְהַעֲלֹ֨ת אַהֲרֹ֧ן אֶת־הַנֵּרֹ֛ת [3] Tevir בֵּ֥ין הָעַרְבַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha יַקְטִירֶ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And when Aaron sets up the lamps [3] between the evenings, [2] he shall burn it; [1] before the LORD, [2] throughout your generations. [1] |

9 לֹא־תַעֲל֥וּ עָלָ֛יו [3] Tevir קְטֹ֥רֶת זָרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וְעֹלָ֣ה וּמִנְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta לֹ֥א תִסְּכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha עָלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
9 You must not offer up on it [3] strange incense, [2] or a burnt offering or a grain offering; [1] you must not pour out [2] on it. [1] |

10 וְכִפֶּ֤ר אַהֲרֹן֙ [3] Pashta עַל־קַרְנֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef בַּשָּׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta חַטַּ֣את הַכִּפֻּרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i יְכַפֵּ֤ר עָלָיו֙ [3] Pashta לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef לַיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
10 And Aaron shall make atonement [3] on its horns [2] in a year; [1] of the sin offering of atonement, [3] he shall make atonement on it [3] throughout your generations. [2] to the LORD.” [1] ¶ |

11 Then the LORD spoke [2] to Moses saying, [1] |

12 כִּ֣י תִשָּׂ֞א [4] Gershayim אֶת־רֹ֥אשׁ בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ [3] Zarqa לִפְקֻדֵיהֶם֒ [2] Segol אִ֣ישׁ כֹּ֧פֶר נַפְשׁ֛וֹ [3] Tevir לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בִּפְקֹ֣ד אֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta נֶ֖גֶף [2] Tip'cha בִּפְקֹ֥ד אֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
12 “When you take [4] a census of the children of Israel, [3] according to those who are counted among them, [2] each one a ransom for his soul [3] to the LORD [2] when they are counted; [1] a plague [2] when they are counted. [1] |

13 זֶ֣ה ׀ [4] Legarmeh יִתְּנ֗וּ [3] Revi'i עַל־הַפְּקֻדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef בְּשֶׁ֣קֶל הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta הַשֶּׁ֔קֶל [2] Zaqef תְּרוּמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לַֽיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
13 This [4] they shall give, [3] to those who are counted, [2] by the shekel of the sanctuary; [1] is the shekel, [2] is the offering [2] to the LORD. [1] |

14 כֹּ֗ל [3] Revi'i הָעֹבֵר֙ [3] Pashta עַל־הַפְּקֻדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef עֶשְׂרִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וָמָ֑עְלָה [1] Etnachta תְּרוּמַ֥ת יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 All [3] those who pass over [3] to those who are counted, [2] of twenty years [2] and upward; [1] the offering of the LORD. [1] |

15 הֶֽעָשִׁ֣יר לֹֽא־יַרְבֶּ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְהַדַּל֙ [3] Pashta לֹ֣א יַמְעִ֔יט [2] Zaqef הַשָּׁ֑קֶל [1] Etnachta אֶת־תְּרוּמַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַל־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
15 The rich shall not give more, [3] and the poor, [3] he shall not give less, [2] of the shekel; [1] the offering of the LORD, [2] for your souls. [1] |

16 וְלָקַחְתָּ֞ [4] Gershayim אֶת־כֶּ֣סֶף הַכִּפֻּרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef עַל־עֲבֹדַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַל־נַפְשֹׁתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
16 And you shall take [4] the atonement money [3] the children of Israel, [2] for the service [2] of the tent of meeting; [1] before the LORD, [2] for your souls.” [1] ¶ |

17 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
17 Then the LORD spoke [2] to Moses saying, [1] |

18 וְעָשִׂ֜יתָ [4] Geresh כִּיּ֥וֹר נְחֹ֛שֶׁת [3] Tevir וְכַנּ֥וֹ נְחֹ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha לְרׇחְצָ֑ה [1] Etnachta בֵּֽין־אֹ֤הֶל מוֹעֵד֙ [3] Pashta וּבֵ֣ין הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ [2] Zaqef מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
18 “And you shall make [4] a basin of bronze [3] and its base of bronze [2] for washing; [1] between the tent of meeting [3] and the altar, [2] water. [1] |

19 וְרָחֲצ֛וּ [3] Tevir אַהֲרֹ֥ן וּבָנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha מִמֶּ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta וְאֶת־רַגְלֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And they shall wash, [3] Aaron and his sons [2] in it; [1] and their feet. [1] |

20 בְּבֹאָ֞ם [4] Gershayim אֶל־אֹ֧הֶל מוֹעֵ֛ד [3] Tevir יִרְחֲצוּ־מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְלֹ֣א יָמֻ֑תוּ [1] Etnachta לְשָׁרֵ֔ת [2] Zaqef לַֽיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
20 When they go [4] into the tent of meeting [3] they shall wash with water, [2] that they not die; [1] to serve, [2] to the LORD. [1] |

21 וְרָחֲצ֛וּ [3] Tevir יְדֵיהֶ֥ם וְרַגְלֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וְלֹ֣א יָמֻ֑תוּ [1] Etnachta ל֥וֹ וּלְזַרְע֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha לְדֹרֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
21 So they shall wash [3] their hands and their feet, [2] that they not die; [1] for him and for his descendants, [2] throughout their generations.” [1] ¶ |

22 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֥ה לֵּאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
22 And the LORD spoke [2] to Moses saying, [1] |

23 וְאַתָּ֣ה קַח־לְךָ֮ [3] Zarqa בְּשָׂמִ֣ים רֹאשׁ֒ [2] Segol חֲמֵ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים וּמָאתָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמָאתָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
23 “Now take for yourself [3] the best spices, [2] five hundred, [2] fifty and two hundred; [1] fifty and two hundred, [1] |

24 וְקִדָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha בְּשֶׁ֣קֶל הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta הִֽין׃ [1] Silluq |
24 and cassia, [2] five hundred [2] by the shekel of the sanctuary; [1] a hin. [1] |

25 וְעָשִׂ֣יתָ אֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'i שֶׁ֚מֶן [3] Yetiv מִשְׁחַת־קֹ֔דֶשׁ [2] Zaqef מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה רֹקֵ֑חַ [1] Etnachta יִהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
25 And you shall make from it [3] oil [3] of holy anointing, [2] as the work of a perfumer; [1] it shall be. [1] |

26 וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֥ ב֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֑ד [1] Etnachta אֲר֥וֹן הָעֵדֻֽת׃ [1] Silluq |
26 And you shall anoint with it [2] the tent of meeting; [1] the ark of the testimony, [1] |

27 וְאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָן֙ [3] Pashta וְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־כֵּלֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta מִזְבַּ֥ח הַקְּטֹֽרֶת׃ [1] Silluq |
27 and the table [3] and all its utensils, [2] and its utensils; [1] the altar of incense, [1] |

28 וְאֶת־מִזְבַּ֥ח הָעֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־כׇּל־כֵּלָ֑יו [1] Etnachta וְאֶת־כַּנּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
28 and the altar of the burnt offering [2] and all its utensils; [1] with its base. [1] |

29 וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֣ אֹתָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְהָי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha קֹ֣דֶשׁ קׇֽדָשִׁ֑ים [1] Etnachta יִקְדָּֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
29 And you shall consecrate them, [2] and they shall be [2] most holy; [1] it shall be holy. [1] |

30 וְאֶת־אַהֲרֹ֥ן וְאֶת־בָּנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha תִּמְשָׁ֑ח [1] Etnachta לְכַהֵ֥ן לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
30 And Aaron and his sons [2] you shall anoint; [1] to serve as priests to me. [1] |

31 וְאֶל־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha תְּדַבֵּ֣ר לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta מִשְׁחַת־קֹ֨דֶשׁ יִהְיֶ֥ה זֶ֛ה [3] Tevir לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha לְדֹרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
31 And to the children of Israel [2] you shall speak saying; [1] of holy anointing this shall be [3] to me [2] throughout your generations. [1] |

32 עַל־בְּשַׂ֤ר אָדָם֙ [3] Pashta לֹ֣א יִיסָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha כָּמֹ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta קֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha יִהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
32 On the body of a person [3] it shall not be poured, [2] you must not make [2] like it; [1] a holy thing [2] it shall be to you. [1] |

33 אִ֚ישׁ [3] Yetiv אֲשֶׁ֣ר יִרְקַ֣ח כָּמֹ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef מִמֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha עַל־זָ֑ר [1] Etnachta מֵעַמָּֽיו׃ [1] Silluq ס |
33 Anyone [3] who mixes any like it, [2] any of it [2] on a stranger; [1] from his people.’ ” [1] § |

34 וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh קַח־לְךָ֣ סַמִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i וְחֶלְבְּנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּלְבֹנָ֣ה זַכָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta יִהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
34 Then the LORD said to Moses, [4] “Take to yourself spices, [3] and galbanum, [2] and pure frankincense; [1] it shall be. [1] |

35 וְעָשִׂ֤יתָ אֹתָהּ֙ [3] Pashta קְטֹ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה רוֹקֵ֑חַ [1] Etnachta טָה֥וֹר קֹֽדֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
35 And you shall make of it [3] incense, [2] by the work of a perfumer; [1] pure and holy. [1] |

36 וְשָֽׁחַקְתָּ֣ מִמֶּ֘נָּה֮ [3 3] Zarqa הָדֵק֒ [2] Segol לִפְנֵ֤י הָעֵדֻת֙ [3] Pashta בְּאֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef אִוָּעֵ֥ד לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha שָׁ֑מָּה [1] Etnachta תִּהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
36 And you shall beat some of it [3 3] into powder, [2] before the testimony [3] in the tent of meeting, [2] I will meet with you [2] there; [1] it shall be to you. [1] |

37 וְהַקְּטֹ֙רֶת֙ [3 3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשֶׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א תַעֲשׂ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha לָכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha לַיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
37 But the incense [3 3] which you shall make, [2] you shall not make [2] for yourselves; [1] it shall be to you [2] for the LORD. [1] |

38 אִ֛ישׁ [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־יַעֲשֶׂ֥ה כָמ֖וֹהָ [2] Tip'cha לְהָרִ֣יחַ בָּ֑הּ [1] Etnachta מֵעַמָּֽיו׃ [1] Silluq ס |
38 Anyone [3] who shall make any like it, [2] to smell of it; [1] from his people.” [1] § |
