בראשית 13 Genesis 13
1 וַיַּ֩עַל֩ אַבְרָ֨ם מִמִּצְרַ֜יִם [4] Geresh
ה֠וּא [4] TelishaG
וְאִשְׁתּ֧וֹ וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־ל֛וֹ [3] Tevir
וְל֥וֹט עִמּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
 
הַנֶּֽגְבָּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 4 1 And Abram went up from Egypt, [4]
he [4]
and his wife and all that he had, [3]
and Lot with him, [2]
 
to the Negev. [1]
2 וְאַבְרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כָּבֵ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
בַּמִּקְנֶ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
בַּכֶּ֖סֶף [2] Tip'cha
וּבַזָּהָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 And Abram [2]
was very wealthy; [1]
 
in livestock, [2]
in silver [2]
and in gold. [1]
3 וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְמַסָּעָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
מִנֶּ֖גֶב [2] Tip'cha
וְעַד־בֵּֽית־אֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
עַד־הַמָּק֗וֹם [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁר־הָ֨יָה שָׁ֤ם אׇֽהֳלֹה֙ [3] Pashta
בַּתְּחִלָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּ֥ין בֵּֽית־אֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֥ין הָעָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

on his journey [2]
 
from the Negev [2]
up to Bethel; [1]
 
to the place [3]
where his tent had been [3]
at the beginning, [2]
 
between Bethel [2]
and Ai, [1]
4 אֶל־מְקוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־עָ֥שָׂה שָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בָּרִאשֹׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקְרָ֥א שָׁ֛ם [3] Tevir
אַבְרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

of the altar, [2]
 
which he had made there [2]
at the first; [1]
 
and he called there, [3]
Abram, [2]
on the name of LORD. [1]
5 וְגַ֨ם־לְל֔וֹט [2] Zaqef
הַהֹלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־אַבְרָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
הָיָ֥ה צֹאן־וּבָקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וְאֹהָלִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 5 And also Lot, [2]
who was traveling [2]
with Abram; [1]
 
had sheep and cattle [2]
and tents. [1]
6 וְלֹא־נָשָׂ֥א אֹתָ֛ם [3] Tevir
הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
לָשֶׁ֣בֶת יַחְדָּ֑ו [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־הָיָ֤ה רְכוּשָׁם֙ [3] Pashta
רָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א יָֽכְל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
לָשֶׁ֥בֶת יַחְדָּֽו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 6 And it was not able to support them [3]
the land, [2]
to live together; [1]
 
for their possessions, they were [3]
great, [2]
 
and they weren’t able [2]
to live together. [1]
7 וַֽיְהִי־רִ֗יב [3] Revi'i
בֵּ֚ין [3] Yetiv
רֹעֵ֣י מִקְנֵֽה־אַבְרָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
רֹעֵ֣י מִקְנֵה־ל֑וֹט [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַפְּרִזִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
אָ֖ז [2] Tip'cha
יֹשֵׁ֥ב בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 7 And there was quarreling [3]
between [3]
the herdsmen of Abram’s livestock, [2]
 
and [2]
the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock; [1]
 
and the Canaanites [3]
and the Perizzites [2]
 
then [2]
were living in the land. [1]
8 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַבְרָ֜ם [4] Geresh
אֶל־ל֗וֹט [3] Revi'i
 
אַל־נָ֨א תְהִ֤י מְרִיבָה֙ [3] Pashta
בֵּינִ֣י וּבֵינֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵ֥ין רֹעַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֣ין רֹעֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־אֲנָשִׁ֥ים אַחִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲנָֽחְנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 8 And Abram said [4]
to Lot, [3]
 
“Please let there be no quarreling [3]
between me and you, [2]
 
and between my herdsmen [2]
and your herdsmen; [1]
 
for brothers are [2]
we. [1]
9 הֲלֹ֤א כׇל־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְפָנֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
הִפָּ֥רֶד נָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מֵעָלָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־הַשְּׂמֹ֣אל וְאֵימִ֔נָה [2] Zaqef
וְאִם־הַיָּמִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
וְאַשְׂמְאִֽילָה׃ [1] Silluq

before you? [2]
 
Please separate [2]
from me; [1]
 
if [you go to] the left then I will go to the right, [2]
and if [you go to] the right [2]
then I will go to the left.” [1]
10 וַיִּשָּׂא־ל֣וֹט אֶת־עֵינָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
וַיַּרְא֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־כׇּל־כִּכַּ֣ר הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י כֻלָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
מַשְׁקֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh
שַׁחֵ֣ת יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
אֶת־סְדֹם֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֶת־עֲמֹרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כְּגַן־יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
כְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
בֹּאֲכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
צֹֽעַר׃ [1] Silluq

and he saw [3]
all the plain of the Jordan, [2]
 
that all of it [2]
was well-watered; [1]
 
before [4]
the LORD destroyed [3]
 
Sodom [3]
and Gomorrah, [2]
 
like the garden of the LORD, [3]
like the land of Egypt, [2]
 
as you go to [2]
Zoar. [1]
11 וַיִּבְחַר־ל֣וֹ ל֗וֹט [3] Revi'i
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
כׇּל־כִּכַּ֣ר הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּסַּ֥ע ל֖וֹט [2] Tip'cha
מִקֶּ֑דֶם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּפָּ֣רְד֔וּ [2] Zaqef
אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
מֵעַ֥ל אָחִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 2 11 And Lot chose for himself [3]
the [3]
whole plain of the Jordan, [2]
 
and Lot set out [2]
toward the east; [1]
 
and they separated, [2]
each [2]
from his brother. [1]
12 אַבְרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יָשַׁ֣ב בְּאֶֽרֶץ־כְּנָ֑עַן [1] Etnachta
 
וְל֗וֹט [3] Revi'i
יָשַׁב֙ [3] Pashta
בְּעָרֵ֣י הַכִּכָּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֶּאֱהַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עַד־סְדֹֽם׃ [1] Silluq

he lived in the land of Canaan; [1]
 
and Lot, [3]
he lived [3]
in the cities of the plain, [2]
 
and he moved his tent [2]
to Sodom. [1]
13 וְאַנְשֵׁ֣י סְדֹ֔ם [2] Zaqef
רָעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְחַטָּאִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 13 Now the people of Sodom [2]
were wicked [2]
and sinful; [1]
 
to the LORD, [2]
exceedingly. [1]
14 וַֽיהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
אָמַ֣ר אֶל־אַבְרָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
אַחֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta
הִפָּֽרֶד־ל֣וֹט מֵֽעִמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
שָׂ֣א נָ֤א עֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וּרְאֵ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
מִן־הַמָּק֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֣ה שָׁ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
צָפֹ֥נָה וָנֶ֖גְבָּה [2] Tip'cha
וָקֵ֥דְמָה וָיָֽמָּה׃ [1] Silluq

he said to Abram, [3]
 
after [3]
Lot separated from him, [2]
 
“Now lift up your eyes [3 3]
and look, [2]
 
from the place [2]
where you are; [1]
 
northward and southward [2]
and eastward and westward, [1]
15 כִּ֧י אֶת־כׇּל־הָאָ֛רֶץ [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה רֹאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְךָ֣ אֶתְּנֶ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta
 
וּֽלְזַרְעֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 15 for all the land [3]
which you see, [2]
to you I will give it; [1]
 
and to your offspring [2]
forever. [1]
16 וְשַׂמְתִּ֥י אֶֽת־זַרְעֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
כַּעֲפַ֣ר הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אִם־יוּכַ֣ל אִ֗ישׁ [3] Revi'i
 
לִמְנוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־עֲפַ֣ר הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
גַּֽם־זַרְעֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
יִמָּנֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 4 3 2 16 And I will make your offspring [2]
like the dust of the earth; [1]
 
which [4]
if anyone is able [3]
 
to count [3]
the dust of the earth, [2]
 
then your offspring [2]
may be counted. [1]
17 ק֚וּם [3] Yetiv
הִתְהַלֵּ֣ךְ בָּאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
לְאׇרְכָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
וּלְרׇחְבָּ֑הּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶתְּנֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 17 Arise, [3]
walk through the land, [2]
 
to its length [2]
and to its breadth; [1]
 
for to you [2]
I will give it.” [1]
18 וַיֶּאֱהַ֣ל אַבְרָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
וַיָּבֹ֛א [3] Tevir
וַיֵּ֛שֶׁב [3] Tevir
בְּאֵלֹנֵ֥י מַמְרֵ֖א [2] Tip'cha
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּחֶבְר֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּֽבֶן־שָׁ֥ם מִזְבֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
לַֽיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he came [3]
and he lived [3]
by the great trees of Mamre, [2]
 
which are at Hebron; [1]
 
and he built there an altar [2]
to the LORD. [1]
