1 And they came, [4 4] the two angels to Sodom, [3 3] in the evening, [2] was sitting in the gate of Sodom; [1] and he rose up to meet them, [2] to the ground, [1] |
|||
2 and he said, [4] “See now, my lords, [3] into the house of your servant and stay the night, [3 3] and wash your feet, [2] and go on your way.” [1] but out in the open place [2] we will stay the night.” [1] |
|||
3 And he urged them greatly, [2] and they came in with him, [2] and they entered [2] into his house; [1] a feast, [2] and they ate. [1] |

4 Before [3 3] they lay down, [2 2] the men of Sodom, [3] they surrounded the house, [2] and old; [1] from every quarter. [1] |
|||
5 And they called to Lot [3] and they said to him, [2] who came to you [2] this night? [1] so that we may know [2] them.” [1] |

6 And he went out to them, [3] Lot, [2] through the door; [1] he closed behind him. [1] |
|||
7 וַיֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta תָּרֵֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And he said, [1] do evil. [1] |
|||

8 See now I have [4] two daughters [3] a man. [2] to you, [2] what seems good [2] in your eyes. [1] to these men [3] don’t do anything, [2] under the shadow of my roof.” [1] |
|||
9 And they said, [4] “Stand back!” [3] “This one came in to live as a foreigner, [3] and he has appointed himself a judge. [2] we will deal worse with you [2] than with them!” [1] very hard, [2] to break down the door. [1] |
