1 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i אַחַר֙ [3] Pashta הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef נִסָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֑ם [1] Etnachta אַבְרָהָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וַיֹּ֥אמֶר הִנֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
1 And [3] after [3] these things, [2] he tested [2] Abraham; [1] “Abraham!” [2] And he said, “Here I am.” [1] |

2 וַיֹּ֡אמֶר [4] Pazer קַח־נָ֠א [4] TelishaG אֶת־בִּנְךָ֨ אֶת־יְחִֽידְךָ֤ אֲשֶׁר־אָהַ֙בְתָּ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֶת־יִצְחָ֔ק [2] Zaqef אֶל־אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha הַמֹּרִיָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta לְעֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אַחַ֣ד הֶֽהָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef אֹמַ֥ר אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And he said, [4] “Now take [4] your son, your only son whom you love, [3 3] Isaac, [2] into the land [2] of Moriah; [1] as a burnt offering, [2] one of the mountains [2] I will tell you.” [1] |

3 וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם אַבְרָהָ֜ם [4] Geresh בַּבֹּ֗קֶר [3] Revi'i אֶת־חֲמֹר֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אֶת־שְׁנֵ֤י נְעָרָיו֙ [3] Pashta אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef יִצְחָ֣ק בְּנ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta עֲצֵ֣י עֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶל־הַמָּק֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha אֲשֶׁר־אָֽמַר־ל֥וֹ הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
3 So Abraham rose early [4] in the morning, [3] his donkey, [2] two of his servants [3] with him, [2] Isaac his son; [1] wood for the burnt offering, [2] to the place [2] of which God had told him. [1] |

4 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗י [3] Revi'i וַיִּשָּׂ֨א אַבְרָהָ֧ם אֶת־עֵינָ֛יו [3] Tevir וַיַּ֥רְא אֶת־הַמָּק֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha מֵרָחֹֽק׃ [1] Silluq |
4 On the third day [3] Abraham lifted up his eyes [3] and he saw the place, [2] far off. [1] |

5 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אַבְרָהָ֜ם [4] Geresh אֶל־נְעָרָ֗יו [3] Revi'i עִֽם־הַחֲמ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef נֵלְכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַד־כֹּ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְנָשׁ֥וּבָה אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And Abraham said [4] to his servants, [3] with the donkey, [2] we will go [2] over there; [1] then we will return to you.” [1] |

6 וַיִּקַּ֨ח אַבְרָהָ֜ם [4] Geresh אֶת־עֲצֵ֣י הָעֹלָ֗ה [3] Revi'i עַל־יִצְחָ֣ק בְּנ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אֶת־הָאֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־הַֽמַּאֲכֶ֑לֶת [1] Etnachta יַחְדָּֽו׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And Abraham took [4] the wood of the burnt offering, [3] on Isaac his son, [2] the fire [2] and the knife; [1] together. [1] |

7 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יִצְחָ֜ק [4] Geresh אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֤ם אָבִיו֙ [3] Pashta וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אָבִ֔י [2] Zaqef הִנֶּ֣נִּֽי בְנִ֑י [1] Etnachta הִנֵּ֤ה הָאֵשׁ֙ [3] Pashta וְהָ֣עֵצִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לְעֹלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And Isaac spoke [4] to Abraham his father, [3] and he said, “My father?” [2] “Here I am, my son.” [1] “Here is the fire [3] and the wood, [2] for a burnt offering?” [1] |

8 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta אַבְרָהָ֔ם [2] Zaqef יִרְאֶה־לּ֥וֹ הַשֶּׂ֛ה [3] Tevir לְעֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּנִ֑י [1] Etnachta יַחְדָּֽו׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And he said, [3 3] Abraham, [2] he will provide himself the lamb [3] for a burnt offering, [2] my son.” [1] together. [1] |

9 וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ [3] Revi'i אֶֽל־הַמָּקוֹם֮ [3] Zarqa אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָֽמַר־ל֣וֹ הָאֱלֹהִים֒ [2] Segol אֶת־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ [2] Zaqef אֶת־הָעֵצִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֶת־יִצְחָ֣ק בְּנ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef עַל־הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ [2] Zaqef לָעֵצִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And they came, [3] to the place [3] which God had told him of, [2] the altar, [2] the wood; [1] Isaac his son, [2] on the altar, [2] the wood. [1] |

10 וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח אַבְרָהָם֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־יָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַֽמַּאֲכֶ֑לֶת [1] Etnachta אֶת־בְּנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And Abraham stretched out [3] his hand [2] the knife; [1] his son. [1] |

11 וַיִּקְרָ֨א אֵלָ֜יו [4] Geresh מַלְאַ֤ךְ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef אַבְרָהָ֣ם ׀ אַבְרָהָ֑ם [1] Etnachta הִנֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And he called to him, [4] the angel of the LORD [3] out of the sky, [2] “Abraham, Abraham!” [1] “Here I am.” [1] |

12 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i אַל־תִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָֽדְךָ֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־הַנַּ֔עַר [2] Zaqef מְא֑וּמָה [1] Etnachta עַתָּ֣ה יָדַ֗עְתִּי [3] Revi'i אַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef אֶת־בִּנְךָ֥ אֶת־יְחִידְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And he said, [3] “Don’t lay your hand [3] on the boy, [2] anything; [1] now I know [3] are you, [2] your son, your only son, [2] from me.” [1] |

13 וַיִּשָּׂ֨א אַבְרָהָ֜ם [4] Geresh אֶת־עֵינָ֗יו [3] Revi'i וְהִנֵּה־אַ֔יִל [2] Zaqef נֶאֱחַ֥ז בַּסְּבַ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha בְּקַרְנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־הָאַ֔יִל [2] Zaqef תַּ֥חַת בְּנֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And Abraham lifted up [4] his eyes, [3] and behold, a ram, [2] it was caught in the thicket [2] by its horns; [1] and he took the ram, [2] in place of his son. [1] |

14 וַיִּקְרָ֧א אַבְרָהָ֛ם [3] Tevir שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה ׀ יִרְאֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta יֵאָמֵ֣ר הַיּ֔וֹם [2] Zaqef יֵרָאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And Abraham called [3] the name of that place, [2] “the LORD he will provide,” [1] it is said to this day, [2] it will be provided.” [1] |

15 וַיִּקְרָ֛א [3] Tevir מַלְאַ֥ךְ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶל־אַבְרָהָ֑ם [1] Etnachta מִן־הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And he called, [3] the angel of the LORD [2] to Abraham; [1] out of the sky, [1] |

16 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG בִּ֥י נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתִּי [2] Tip'cha נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יַ֚עַן [3] Yetiv אֲשֶׁ֤ר עָשִׂ֙יתָ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶת־בִּנְךָ֥ אֶת־יְחִידֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 and he said, [2] “ ‘I swear by myself,’ [2] says the LORD; [1] because [3] you have done [3 3] this thing, [2] your son, your only son, [1] |

17 כִּֽי־בָרֵ֣ךְ אֲבָרֶכְךָ֗ [3] Revi'i וְהַרְבָּ֨ה אַרְבֶּ֤ה אֶֽת־זַרְעֲךָ֙ [3] Pashta כְּכוֹכְבֵ֣י הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha עַל־שְׂפַ֣ת הַיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha שַׁ֥עַר אֹיְבָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
17 that surely I will bless you, [3] and greatly I will multiply your offspring [3] like the stars of the heavens, [2] which [2] is on the shore of the sea; [1] the [2] gate of his enemies. [1] |

18 וְהִתְבָּרְכ֣וּ בְזַרְעֲךָ֔ [2] Zaqef כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha גּוֹיֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ [2] Tip'cha בְּקֹלִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
18 And they will be blessed by your offspring, [2] all [2] the nations of the earth; [1] you have obeyed [2] my voice.’ ” [1] |

19 וַיָּ֤שׇׁב אַבְרָהָם֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־נְעָרָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וַיֵּלְכ֥וּ יַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha אֶל־בְּאֵ֣ר שָׁ֑בַע [1] Etnachta בִּבְאֵ֥ר שָֽׁבַע׃ [1] Silluq פ |
19 And Abraham returned [3] to his servants, [2] and they went together [2] to Beersheba; [1] in Beersheba. [1] ¶ |

20 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i אַחֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta יָלְדָ֨ה מִלְכָּ֥ה גַם־הִ֛וא [3] Tevir בָּנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לְנָח֥וֹר אָחִֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And [3] after [3] these things, [2] saying; [1] Milcah, she also has borne [3] children, [2] to Nahor your brother. [1] |

21 אֶת־ע֥וּץ בְּכֹר֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־בּ֣וּז אָחִ֑יו [1] Etnachta אֲבִ֥י אֲרָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
21 Uz his firstborn [2] and Buz his brother; [1] the father of Aram, [1] |

22 וְאֶת־כֶּ֣שֶׂד וְאֶת־חֲז֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־פִּלְדָּ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־יִדְלָ֑ף [1] Etnachta בְּתוּאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
22 and Chesed and Hazo, [2] and Pildash [2] and Jidlaph; [1] Bethuel.” [1] |

23 וּבְתוּאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha יָלַ֣ד אֶת־רִבְקָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יָלְדָ֣ה מִלְכָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲחִ֥י אַבְרָהָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
23 And Bethuel, [2] to him was born Rebekah. [1] Milcah bore, [2] the brother of Abraham. [1] |

24 וּפִֽילַגְשׁ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha וּשְׁמָ֣הּ רְאוּמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶת־טֶ֣בַח וְאֶת־גַּ֔חַם [2] Zaqef וְאֶֽת־מַעֲכָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
24 And his concubine [2] whose name was Reumah; [1] Tebah and Gaham, [2] and Maacah. [1] ¶ |
