1 וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta כִּֽי־הֵחֵ֣ל הָֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יֻלְּד֥וּ לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
1 When [3] men began [2] on the surface of the ground; [1] were born to them, [1] |

2 וַיִּרְא֤וּ בְנֵי־הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־בְּנ֣וֹת הָֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef הֵ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta נָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר בָּחָֽרוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 The sons of God saw [3] the daughters of men, [2] they were; [1] wives [2] that they chose. [1] |

3 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i לֹֽא־יָד֨וֹן רוּחִ֤י בָֽאָדָם֙ [3] Pashta לְעֹלָ֔ם [2] Zaqef ה֣וּא בָשָׂ֑ר [1] Etnachta מֵאָ֥ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha שָׁנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And the LORD said, [3] “My Spirit will not strive with man [3] forever, [2] he is flesh; [1] one hundred and twenty [2] years.” [1] |

4 הַנְּפִלִ֞ים [4] Gershayim הָי֣וּ בָאָ֘רֶץ֮ [3 3] Zarqa בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵם֒ [2] Segol בְּנֵ֤י הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־בְּנ֣וֹת הָֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef לָהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֥ר מֵעוֹלָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha אַנְשֵׁ֥י הַשֵּֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
4 The Nephilim, [4] they were on the earth [3 3] in those days, [2] the sons of God [3] to the daughters of men, [2] with them. [1] who were of old, [2] men of renown. [1] ¶ |

5 וַיַּ֣רְא יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef רָעַ֥ת הָאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בָּאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta מַחְשְׁבֹ֣ת לִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef כׇּל־הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And the LORD saw [2] the wickedness of man [2] on the earth; [1] of the thoughts of his heart [2] each day. [1] |

6 וַיִּנָּ֣חֶם יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־עָשָׂ֥ה אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בָּאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta אֶל־לִבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And the LORD was sorry [2] that he had made man [2] on the earth; [1] in his heart. [1] |

7 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֶמְחֶ֨ה אֶת־הָאָדָ֤ם אֲשֶׁר־בָּרָ֙אתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta מֵעַל֙ [3] Pashta פְּנֵ֣י הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַד־בְּהֵמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְעַד־ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta כִּ֥י עֲשִׂיתִֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And the LORD said, [3] “I will destroy man whom I have created, [3 3] from [3] the surface of the ground, [2] to animals, [2] and to the birds of the sky; [1] that I have made them.” [1] |

8 וְנֹ֕חַ [2] ZaqefG מָ֥צָא חֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha בְּעֵינֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
8 But Noah, [2] he found favor [2] in the eyes of the LORD. [1] ¶ |

9 אֵ֚לֶּה [3] Yetiv תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef אִ֥ישׁ צַדִּ֛יק [3] Tevir תָּמִ֥ים הָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּדֹֽרֹתָ֑יו [1] Etnachta הִֽתְהַלֶּךְ־נֹֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 These are [3] the accounts of Noah. [2] a righteous man, [3] he was blameless, [2] in his generations. [1] he walked, Noah. [1] |

10 וַיּ֥וֹלֶד נֹ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה בָנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֶת־חָ֥ם וְאֶת־יָֽפֶת׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And to Noah were born [2] three sons; [1] Ham and Japheth. [1] |

11 וַתִּשָּׁחֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha לִפְנֵ֣י הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta חָמָֽס׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And the earth was corrupt [2] before God; [1] violence. [1] |

12 וַיַּ֧רְא אֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir אֶת־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha וְהִנֵּ֣ה נִשְׁחָ֑תָה [1] Etnachta אֶת־דַּרְכּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq ס |
12 And God saw [3] the earth, [2] and behold it was corrupt; [1] its way [2] on the earth. [1] § |

13 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֜ים [4] Geresh לְנֹ֗חַ [3] Revi'i בָּ֣א לְפָנַ֔י [2] Zaqef חָמָ֖ס [2] Tip'cha מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And God said [4] to Noah, [3] is coming before me, [2] violence [2] because of them; [1] with the earth. [1] |

14 עֲשֵׂ֤ה לְךָ֙ [3] Pashta תֵּבַ֣ת עֲצֵי־גֹ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה אֶת־הַתֵּבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta מִבַּ֥יִת וּמִח֖וּץ [2] Tip'cha בַּכֹּֽפֶר׃ [1] Silluq |
14 Make for yourself [3] an ark of gopher wood, [2] you shall make in the ark; [1] inside and outside [2] with pitch. [1] |

15 וְזֶ֕ה [2] ZaqefG אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֹתָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta אֹ֚רֶךְ [3] Yetiv הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef רׇחְבָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef קוֹמָתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And this [2] is how you shall make [2] it. [1] the length [3] of the ark, [2] its width, [2] its height. [1] |

16 צֹ֣הַר ׀ [4] Legarmeh תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה לַתֵּבָ֗ה [3] Revi'i תְּכַלֶּ֣נָּה מִלְמַ֔עְלָה [2] Zaqef בְּצִדָּ֣הּ תָּשִׂ֑ים [1] Etnachta שְׁנִיִּ֥ם וּשְׁלִשִׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha תַּֽעֲשֶֽׂהָ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 A roof [4] you shall make for the ark, [3] from the top you shall finish it, [2] in its side you shall put; [1] second and third levels, [2] you shall make it. [1] |

17 וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i הִנְנִי֩ מֵבִ֨יא אֶת־הַמַּבּ֥וּל מַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־בּוֹ֙ [3] Pashta ר֣וּחַ חַיִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta יִגְוָֽע׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And I, [3] here I will bring the flood of waters [3 3] on the earth, [2] in which is [3] the breath of life [2] the sky. [1] it will die. [1] |

18 וַהֲקִמֹתִ֥י אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha אִתָּ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְאִשְׁתְּךָ֥ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha אִתָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 But I will establish my covenant [2] with you; [1] into the ark, [2] and your wife and the wives of your sons, [2] with you. [1] |

19 וּמִכׇּל־הָ֠חַ֠י [4 4] TelishaG מִֽכׇּל־בָּשָׂ֞ר [4] Gershayim שְׁנַ֧יִם מִכֹּ֛ל [3] Tevir תָּבִ֥יא אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יִֽהְיֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And of every living thing, [4 4] of all flesh [4] two of every kind, [3] you shall bring into the ark, [2] they shall be. [1] |

20 מֵהָע֣וֹף לְמִינֵ֗הוּ [3] Revi'i וּמִן־הַבְּהֵמָה֙ [3] Pashta לְמִינָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef רֶ֥מֶשׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לְמִינֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta יָבֹ֥אוּ אֵלֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha לְהַֽחֲיֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
20 Of the birds after their kind, [3] and of the livestock [3] after their kind, [2] creeping thing of the ground [2] after its kind; [1] they will come to you, [2] to keep them alive. [1] |

21 וְאַתָּ֣ה קַח־לְךָ֗ [3] Revi'i מִכׇּל־מַֽאֲכָל֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר יֵֽאָכֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef אֵלֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta וְלָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לְאׇכְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
21 And you, take for yourself [3] some of all food [3] which is eaten, [2] to yourself; [1] and for them [2] for food.” [1] |

22 וַיַּ֖עַשׂ [2] Tip'cha נֹ֑חַ [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר צִוָּ֥ה אֹת֛וֹ [3] Tevir אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha כֵּ֥ן עָשָֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq |
