1 וַיִּזְכֹּ֤ר אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֤ת כׇּל־הַֽחַיָּה֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֶת־כׇּל־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בַּתֵּבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּעֲבֵ֨ר אֱלֹהִ֥ים ר֙וּחַ֙ [3 3] Pashta
עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּשֹׁ֖כּוּ [2] Tip'cha
הַמָּֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

Noah, [2]
 
and all the animals [3]
and all the livestock [2]
 
that were with him [2]
in the ark; [1]
 
and God sent a wind [3 3]
over the earth, [2]
 
and they receded, [2]
the waters. [1]
2 וַיִּסָּֽכְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta
מַעְיְנֹ֣ת תְּה֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽאֲרֻבֹּ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּכָּלֵ֥א הַגֶּ֖שֶׁם [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 And they were closed up, [3]
the fountains of the deep, [2]
 
and the floodgates [2]
of the sky; [1]
 
and the rain was restrained [2]
from the sky. [1]
3 וַיָּשֻׁ֧בוּ הַמַּ֛יִם [3] Tevir
מֵעַ֥ל הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
הָל֣וֹךְ וָשׁ֑וֹב [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּחְסְר֣וּ הַמַּ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
מִקְצֵ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
יֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 And the waters returned [3]
from the earth, [2]
continuing to return; [1]
 
and the waters were receding [2]
at the end of [2]
fifty and one hundred [2]
days. [1]
4 וַתָּ֤נַח הַתֵּבָה֙ [3] Pashta
בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
בְּשִׁבְעָה־עָשָׂ֥ר י֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta
 
עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
הָרֵ֥י אֲרָרָֽט׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 4 And the ark came to rest [3]
in the seventh month, [2]
 
on the seven and tenth day [2]
of the month; [1]
 
on [2]
the mountains of Ararat. [1]
5 וְהַמַּ֗יִם [3] Revi'i
הָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
הָל֣וֹךְ וְחָס֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
הַחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
בָּֽעֲשִׂירִי֙ [3] Pashta
בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
נִרְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
רָאשֵׁ֥י הֶֽהָרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

they [3]
continued to recede [2]
 
until [2]
the tenth month. [1]
 
In the tenth [month] [3]
on the first of the month, [2]
 
they were visible, [2]
the tops of the mountains. [1]
6 וַֽיְהִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
מִקֵּ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha
אַרְבָּעִ֣ים י֑וֹם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּפְתַּ֣ח נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
אֶת־חַלּ֥וֹן הַתֵּבָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq

at the end of [2]
forty days; [1]
 
Noah opened [2]
the window of the ark [2]
which he had made, [1]
7 וַיְשַׁלַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָֽעֹרֵ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵ֤א יָצוֹא֙ [3] Pashta
וָשׁ֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
 
עַד־יְבֹ֥שֶׁת הַמַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 7 and he sent out [2]
the raven; [1]
 
and it went out, going out [3]
and returning, [2]
 
until the waters were dried up [2]
from the earth. [1]
8 וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵאִתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
לִרְאוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
הֲקַ֣לּוּ הַמַּ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
מֵעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 8 And he sent out the dove [2]
from him; [1]
 
to see [3]
if the water had receded [2]
 
from [2]
the surface of the ground. [1]
9 וְלֹֽא־מָצְאָה֩ הַיּוֹנָ֨ה מָנ֜וֹחַ [4] Geresh
לְכַף־רַגְלָ֗הּ [3] Revi'i
 
וַתָּ֤שׇׁב אֵלָיו֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּי־מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כׇל־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָדוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיִּקָּחֶ֔הָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּבֵ֥א אֹתָ֛הּ [3] Tevir
אֵלָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הַתֵּבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

for her feet, [3]
 
and she returned to him [3]
into the ark, [2]
 
for the waters [2]
were on the surface of the whole earth; [1]
 
and he stretched out his hand [3]
and he took her, [2]
 
and he brought her [3]
to him, [2]
into the ark. [1]
10 וַיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲחֵרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֛סֶף [3] Tevir
שַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַתֵּבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 10 And he waited again, [2]
seven days [2]
more; [1]
 
and he again [3]
sent out the dove [2]
from the ark. [1]
11 וַתָּבֹ֨א אֵלָ֤יו הַיּוֹנָה֙ [3] Pashta
לְעֵ֣ת עֶ֔רֶב [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֥ה עֲלֵה־זַ֖יִת [2] Tip'cha
טָרָ֣ף בְּפִ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֣דַע נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
כִּי־קַ֥לּוּ הַמַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מֵעַ֥ל הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 11 And the dove came back to him [3]
in the evening [2]
 
and behold, an olive leaf [2]
freshly plucked was in her mouth, [1]
 
so Noah knew [2]
that the waters had receded [2]
from the earth. [1]
12 וַיִּיָּ֣חֶל ע֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
שִׁבְעַ֥ת יָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲחֵרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְשַׁלַּח֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הַיּוֹנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹֽא־יָסְפָ֥ה שׁוּב־אֵלָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
עֽוֹד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 2 12 And he waited again, [2]
seven days [2]
more; [1]
 
and he sent out [3]
the dove, [2]
 
and she no longer returned to him [2]
again. [1]
13 וַֽ֠יְהִ֠י [4 4] TelishaG
בְּאַחַ֨ת וְשֵׁשׁ־מֵא֜וֹת [4] Geresh
שָׁנָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
בָּֽרִאשׁוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
בְּאֶחָ֣ד לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
חָֽרְב֥וּ הַמַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מֵעַ֣ל הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֤סַר נֹ֙חַ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶת־מִכְסֵ֣ה הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּ֕רְא [2] ZaqefG
וְהִנֵּ֥ה חָֽרְב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

in the one and six hundredth [4]
year, [3]
 
in the first [month] [3]
on the first [day] of the month, [2]
 
the waters were dried up [2]
from the earth; [1]
 
and Noah removed [3 3]
the covering of the ark, [2]
 
and he saw, [2]
and behold, it was dried up [2]
the surface of the ground. [1]
14 וּבַחֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַשֵּׁנִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
בְּשִׁבְעָ֧ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֛ים [3] Tevir
י֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta
 
יָבְשָׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

it was dry, [2]
the earth. [1]

15 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־נֹ֥חַ לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 15 And God spoke [2]
to Noah saying, [1]
16 צֵ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַתֵּבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
 
וְאִשְׁתְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir
וּבָנֶ֥יךָ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
אִתָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 16 “Come out [2]
from the ark; [1]
 
you, [2]
 
and your wife [3]
and your sons and the wives of your sons, [2]
with you. [1]
17 כׇּל־הַחַיָּ֨ה אֲשֶֽׁר־אִתְּךָ֜ [4] Geresh
מִכׇּל־בָּשָׂ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
בָּע֧וֹף וּבַבְּהֵמָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וּבְכׇל־הָרֶ֛מֶשׂ [3] Tevir
הָרֹמֵ֥שׂ עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
 
*הוצא **הַיְצֵ֣א אִתָּ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְשָֽׁרְצ֣וּ בָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
וּפָר֥וּ וְרָב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

some of all flesh, [3]
 
of the birds and of the livestock, [3]
and of all the creatures [3]
that move along the ground, [2]
 
bring out with you; [1]
 
and they will multiply on the earth, [2]
and they will be fruitful and they will increase in number [2]
on the earth.” [1]
18 וַיֵּ֖צֵא־נֹ֑חַ [2 1] Etnachta
 
וּבָנָ֛יו [3] Tevir
וְאִשְׁתּ֥וֹ וּנְשֵֽׁי־בָנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אִתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 18 And Noah went out; [2 1]
 
and his sons [3]
and his wife and the wives of his sons, [2]
with him. [1]
19 כׇּל־הַֽחַיָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
כׇּל־הָרֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְכׇל־הָע֔וֹף [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
רוֹמֵ֣שׂ עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
לְמִשְׁפְּחֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
יָצְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַתֵּבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

all the creeping things [3 3]
and all the birds, [2]
 
every [2]
creature that moves on the earth; [1]
 
according to their families, [2]
they came out [2]
of the ark. [1]
20 וַיִּ֥בֶן נֹ֛חַ [3] Tevir
מִזְבֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
לַֽיהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקַּ֞ח [4] Gershayim
מִכֹּ֣ל ׀ [4] Legarmeh
הַבְּהֵמָ֣ה הַטְּהֹרָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּמִכֹּל֙ [3] Pashta
הָע֣וֹף הַטָּה֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּ֥עַל עֹלֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
בַּמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq

an altar [2]
to the LORD; [1]
 
and he took [4]
some of all [4]
the clean animals, [3]
 
and some of every [3]
clean bird, [2]
 
and he offered burnt offerings [2]
on the altar. [1]
21 וַיָּ֣רַח יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶת־רֵ֣יחַ הַנִּיחֹ֒חַ֒ [2 2] Segol
 
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶל־לִבּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
לֹֽא־אֹ֠סִ֠ף [4 4] TelishaG
לְקַלֵּ֨ל ע֤וֹד אֶת־הָֽאֲדָמָה֙ [3] Pashta
בַּעֲב֣וּר הָֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֠י [4] TelishaG
יֵ֣צֶר לֵ֧ב הָאָדָ֛ם [3] Tevir
רַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
מִנְּעֻרָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־אֹסִ֥ף ע֛וֹד [3] Tevir
לְהַכּ֥וֹת אֶת־כׇּל־חַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִֽׂיתִי׃ [1] Silluq

the pleasant aroma, [2 2]
 
and the LORD said [4]
in his heart, [3]
 
“Never again will I [4 4]
curse anymore the ground [3]
because of men, [2]
 
even though [4]
the inclination of his heart [3]
is evil [2]
from his youth; [1]
 
and never again will I [3]
destroy all living creatures [2]
as I have done. [1]
22 עֹ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־יְמֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
זֶ֡רַע [4] Pazer
וְ֠קָצִ֠יר [4 4] TelishaG
וְקֹ֨ר וָחֹ֜ם [4] Geresh
וְקַ֧יִץ וָחֹ֛רֶף [3] Tevir
 
וְי֥וֹם וָלַ֖יְלָה [2] Tip'cha
 
לֹ֥א יִשְׁבֹּֽתוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 4 4 4 22 As long as (they) continue [2]
all the days of the earth, [1]
 
seed time [4]
and harvest, [4 4]
and cold and heat, [4]
and summer and winter, [3]
 
and day and night, [2]
 
they will not cease.” [1]
