1 וַיְבָ֣רֶךְ אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
אֶת־נֹ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶת־בָּנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֧אמֶר לָהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
פְּר֥וּ וּרְב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וּמִלְא֥וּ אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 1 And God blessed [2]
Noah [2]
and his sons; [1]
 
and he said to them, [3]
“Be fruitful and multiply, [2]
and fill the earth. [1]
2 וּמוֹרַאֲכֶ֤ם וְחִתְּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
יִֽהְיֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
עַ֚ל [3] Yetiv
כׇּל־חַיַּ֣ת הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
בְּכֹל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר תִּרְמֹ֧שׂ הָֽאֲדָמָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וּֽבְכׇל־דְּגֵ֥י הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בְּיֶדְכֶ֥ם נִתָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 3 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you [3]
it will be, [2]
 
on [3]
every animal of the earth, [2]
 
and on [2]
every bird of the sky. [1]
 
Over all that moves along the ground [3]
and over all the fish of the sea, [2]
into your hand they are given. [1]
3 כׇּל־רֶ֙מֶשׂ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר הוּא־חַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
לָכֶ֥ם יִהְיֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְאׇכְלָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כְּיֶ֣רֶק עֵ֔שֶׂב [2] Zaqef
נָתַ֥תִּי לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־כֹּֽל׃ [1] Silluq

that lives [2]
 
will be yours [2]
for food. [1]
 
As [I gave you] the green plants, [2]
I [now] give to you [2]
everything. [1]
4 אַךְ־בָּשָׂ֕ר [2] ZaqefG
בְּנַפְשׁ֥וֹ דָמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א תֹאכֵֽלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 4 But flesh [2]
with its life - its blood [2]
you must not eat. [1]
5 וְאַ֨ךְ אֶת־דִּמְכֶ֤ם לְנַפְשֹֽׁתֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶדְרֹ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
מִיַּ֥ד כׇּל־חַיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶדְרְשֶׁ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִיַּ֣ד הָֽאָדָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
מִיַּד֙ [3] Pashta
אִ֣ישׁ אָחִ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
אֶדְרֹ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־נֶ֥פֶשׁ הָֽאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 2 5 And surely accounting for your life’s blood [3]
I will require. [2]
 
At the hand of every animal [2]
I will require it; [1]
 
and at the hand of man, [3]
at the hand [3]
of each his brother, [2]
 
I will require [2]
the life of man. [1]
6 שֹׁפֵךְ֙ [3] Pashta
דַּ֣ם הָֽאָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בָּֽאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
דָּמ֣וֹ יִשָּׁפֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֚י [3] Yetiv
בְּצֶ֣לֶם אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
עָשָׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

man’s blood, [2]
 
by man [2]
his blood will be shed; [1]
 
for [3]
in the image of God, [2]
 
he made [2]
man. [1]
7 וְאַתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
פְּר֣וּ וּרְב֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
שִׁרְצ֥וּ בָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
וּרְבוּ־בָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 7 And you, [2]
be fruitful and multiply. [1]
 
Increase abundantly on the earth, [2]
and multiply on it.” [1]

8 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶל־בָּנָ֥יו אִתּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 And God spoke [3]
to Noah, [2]
 
and to his sons with him [2]
saying, [1]
9 וַאֲנִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
 
הִנְנִ֥י מֵקִ֛ים [3] Tevir
אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אִתְּכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶֽת־זַרְעֲכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אַֽחֲרֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

behold I establish [3]
my covenant [2]
with you; [1]
 
and with your offspring [2]
after you, [1]
10 וְאֵ֨ת כׇּל־נֶ֤פֶשׁ הַֽחַיָּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתְּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בָּע֧וֹף בַּבְּהֵמָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וּֽבְכׇל־חַיַּ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
אִתְּכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
מִכֹּל֙ [3] Pashta
יֹצְאֵ֣י הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לְכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
חַיַּ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

that is with you, [2]
 
the birds, the livestock [3]
and every animal of the earth [2]
with you; [1]
 
of all [3]
that came out of the ark, [2]
 
to every [2]
animal of the earth. [1]
11 וַהֲקִמֹתִ֤י אֶת־בְּרִיתִי֙ [3] Pashta
אִתְּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹֽא־יִכָּרֵ֧ת כׇּל־בָּשָׂ֛ר [3] Tevir
ע֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha
מִמֵּ֣י הַמַּבּ֑וּל [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יִהְיֶ֥ה ע֛וֹד [3] Tevir
מַבּ֖וּל [2] Tip'cha
לְשַׁחֵ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 11 And I will establish my covenant [3]
with you, [2]
 
and all flesh will not be cut off [3]
again [2]
by the waters of the flood; [1]
 
and there will never again be [3]
a flood [2]
to destroy the earth.” [1]
12 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
זֹ֤את אֽוֹת־הַבְּרִית֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֣י נֹתֵ֗ן [3] Revi'i
בֵּינִי֙ [3] Pashta
וּבֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵ֛ין [3] Tevir
כׇּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אִתְּכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לְדֹרֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

“This is the sign of the covenant [3]
which I am making [3]
from me [3]
to you, [2]
 
and to [3]
every living creature [2]
that is with you; [1]
 
for [all] generations [2]
to come, [1]
13 אֶת־קַשְׁתִּ֕י [2] ZaqefG
נָתַ֖תִּי [2] Tip'cha
בֶּֽעָנָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָֽיְתָה֙ [3] Pashta
לְא֣וֹת בְּרִ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּינִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּבֵ֥ין הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

I set [2]
in the cloud; [1]
 
and it will be [3]
a sign of a covenant [2]
 
between me [2]
and the earth. [1]
14 וְהָיָ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
בְּעַֽנְנִ֥י עָנָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִרְאֲתָ֥ה הַקֶּ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha
בֶּעָנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 14 And when [2]
I bring a cloud [2]
over the earth; [1]
 
the rainbow will be seen [2]
in the cloud, [1]
15 וְזָכַרְתִּ֣י אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁ֤ר בֵּינִי֙ [3] Pashta
וּבֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵ֛ין [3] Tevir
כׇּל־נֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־בָּשָׂ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יִֽהְיֶ֨ה ע֤וֹד הַמַּ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְמַבּ֔וּל [2] Zaqef
 
לְשַׁחֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־בָּשָֽׂר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 3 2 15 and I will remember my covenant, [3]
which is between me [3]
and you, [2]
 
and [3]
every living creature [2]
of all flesh; [1]
 
and the waters will not again become [3 3]
a flood [2]
 
to destroy [2]
all flesh. [1]
16 וְהָיְתָ֥ה הַקֶּ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha
בֶּֽעָנָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וּרְאִיתִ֗יהָ [3] Revi'i
לִזְכֹּר֙ [3] Pashta
בְּרִ֣ית עוֹלָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּ֣ין אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵין֙ [3] Pashta
כׇּל־נֶ֣פֶשׁ חַיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּכׇל־בָּשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 16 And the rainbow will be [2]
in the cloud; [1]
 
and I will see it, [3]
that I may remember [3]
the everlasting covenant, [2]
 
between God, [2]
 
and [3]
every living creature [2]
 
of all flesh [2]
that is on the earth.” [1]
17 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־נֹ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
זֹ֤את אֽוֹת־הַבְּרִית֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֲקִמֹ֔תִי [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּינִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
וּבֵ֥ין כׇּל־בָּשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

to Noah; [1]
 
“This is the sign of the covenant [3]
which I have established, [2]
 
between me [2]
and all flesh [2]
that is on the earth.” [1]
18 וַיִּֽהְי֣וּ בְנֵי־נֹ֗חַ [3] Revi'i
הַיֹּֽצְאִים֙ [3] Pashta
מִן־הַתֵּבָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שֵׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְחָ֣ם וָיָ֑פֶת [1] Etnachta
 
וְחָ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
ה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha
אֲבִ֥י כְנָֽעַן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 2 18 And they were, the sons of Noah [3]
who came out [3]
from the ark, [2]
 
Shem [2]
and Ham and Japheth; [1]
 
and Ham, [2]
he [2]
was the father of Canaan. [1]
19 שְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה אֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha
בְּנֵי־נֹ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמֵאֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha
נָֽפְצָ֥ה כׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 19 These three [2]
were the sons of Noah; [1]
 
and from these [2]
the whole earth was populated. [1]
20 וַיָּ֥חֶל נֹ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
אִ֣ישׁ הָֽאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּטַּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
כָּֽרֶם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 20 And Noah began [2]
to be a farmer; [1]
 
and he planted [2]
a vineyard. [1]
21 וַיֵּ֥שְׁתְּ מִן־הַיַּ֖יִן [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּשְׁכָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתְגַּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּת֥וֹךְ אׇהֳלֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 21 And he drank of the wine [2]
and he became drunk; [1]
 
and he was uncovered [2]
in the middle of his tent. [1]
22 וַיַּ֗רְא [3] Revi'i
חָ֚ם [3] Yetiv
אֲבִ֣י כְנַ֔עַן [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עֶרְוַ֣ת אָבִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּגֵּ֥ד לִשְׁנֵֽי־אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
בַּחֽוּץ׃ [1] Silluq

Ham [3]
the father of Canaan, [2]
 
the [2]
nakedness of his father; [1]
 
and he told his two brothers [2]
outside. [1]
23 וַיִּקַּח֩ שֵׁ֨ם וָיֶ֜פֶת [4] Geresh
אֶת־הַשִּׂמְלָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וַיָּשִׂ֙ימוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
עַל־שְׁכֶ֣ם שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֲחֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְכַסּ֕וּ [2] ZaqefG
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עֶרְוַ֣ת אֲבִיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וּפְנֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֲחֹ֣רַנִּ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
וְעֶרְוַ֥ת אֲבִיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א רָאֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

the garment, [3]
 
and they laid it [3 3]
on both their shoulders, [2]
 
and they walked [3]
backwards, [2]
 
and they covered [2]
the [2]
nakedness of their father; [1]
 
and their faces [3]
were backwards, [2]
 
and their father’s nakedness [2]
they didn’t see. [1]
24 וַיִּ֥יקֶץ נֹ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
מִיֵּינ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֕דַע [2] ZaqefG
 
אֵ֛ת [3] Tevir
אֲשֶׁר־עָֽשָׂה־ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּנ֥וֹ הַקָּטָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 24 And Noah awoke [2]
from his wine; [1]
 
and he knew, [2]
 
that [3]
which he had done to him, [2]
his youngest son. [1]
25 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
אָר֣וּר כְּנָ֑עַן [1] Etnachta
 
עֶ֥בֶד עֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יִֽהְיֶ֥ה לְאֶחָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 25 And he said, [2]
“Cursed be Canaan; [1]
 
a servant of servants [2]
he will be to his brothers.” [1]
26 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG
בָּר֥וּךְ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹ֣הֵי שֵׁ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וִיהִ֥י כְנַ֖עַן [2] Tip'cha
עֶ֥בֶד לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 26 And he said, [2]
“Blessed be the LORD, [2]
the God of Shem; [1]
 
and let Canaan be [2]
his servant. [1]
27 יַ֤פְתְּ אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta
לְיֶ֔פֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וְיִשְׁכֹּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
בְּאׇֽהֳלֵי־שֵׁ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וִיהִ֥י כְנַ֖עַן [2] Tip'cha
עֶ֥בֶד לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 27 May God make room [3]
for Japheth, [2]
 
and let him dwell [2]
in the tents of Shem; [1]
 
and let Canaan be [2]
his servant.” [1]
28 וַֽיְחִי־נֹ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
אַחַ֣ר הַמַּבּ֑וּל [1] Etnachta
 
שְׁלֹ֤שׁ מֵאוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
שָׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שָׁנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 28 And Noah lived [2]
after the flood; [1]
 
three hundred [3]
years [2]
 
and fifty [2]
years. [1]
29 וַיִּֽהְיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
כׇּל־יְמֵי־נֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
תְּשַׁ֤ע מֵאוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
שָׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַחֲמִשִּׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
שָׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּמֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq

all the days of Noah, [2]
 
nine hundred [3]
years [2]
 
and fifty [2]
years; [1]
 
and he died. [1]
