	²תְּחִלַּ֥ת דִּבֶּר־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּהוֹשֵׁ֑עַ [1] Etnachta פ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh אֶל־הוֹשֵׁ֗עַ [3] Revi'a לֵ֣ךְ קַח־לְךָ֞ [4] Munach Gershayim אֵ֤שֶׁת זְנוּנִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְיַלְדֵ֣י זְנוּנִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef כִּֽי־זָנֹ֤ה תִזְנֶה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		²When the LORD first spoke [2] by Hosea; [1] ¶ the LORD said [4] to Hosea, [3] “Go, take for yourself [4] a wife of prostitution [3] and children of prostitution, [2] for it prostitutes itself continually [3] the land, [2] from following [2] the LORD.” [1]
	³וַיֵּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3] Pashta וַיִּקַּ֔ח [2] Zaqef אֶת־גֹּ֖מֶר [2] Tip'cha בַּת־דִּבְלָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta וַתַּ֥הַר וַתֵּלֶד־ל֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha בֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq		³So he went [3] and he took [2] Gomer [2] the daughter of Diblaim; [1] and she conceived and she bore him [2] a son. [1]
	⁴וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֵלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef קְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha יִזְרְעֶ֑אל [1] Etnachta כִּי־ע֣וֹד מְעַ֗ט [3] Munach Revi'a וּפָ֨קַדְתִּ֜י [4] Qadma Geresh אֶת־דְּמֵ֤י יִזְרְעֶאל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עַל־בֵּ֣ית יֵה֔וּא [2] Munach Zaqef וְהִ֨שְׁבַּתִּ֔י [2] Qadma Zaqef מַמְלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁴And the LORD said [3] to him, [2] “Call his name [2] Jezreel; [1] for yet a little while, [3] and I will avenge [4] the blood of Jezreel [3] on the house of Jehu, [2] and I will put an end to [2] the kingdom [2] of the house of Israel. [1]
	⁵וְהָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Munach Etnachta וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־קֶ֣שֶׁת יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef בְּעֵ֖מֶק [2] Tip'cha יִזְרְעֶֽאל׃ [1] Silluq		⁵And it will happen [2] in that day; [1] that I will break [3] the bow of Israel [2] in the valley [2] of Jezreel.” [1]
	⁶וַתַּ֤הַר עוֹד֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַתֵּ֣לֶד בַּ֔ת [2] Munach Zaqef וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef קְרָ֥א שְׁמָ֖הּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha לֹ֣א רֻחָ֑מָה [1] Munach Etnachta כִּי֩ לֹ֨א אוֹסִ֜יף [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh ע֗וֹד [3] Revi'a אֲרַחֵם֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef כִּֽי־נָשֹׂ֥א אֶשָּׂ֖א [2] Merkha Tip'cha לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		⁶And she conceived again [3] and she bore a daughter, [2] and he said to him, [2] “Call her name [2] Lo-Ruhamah; [1] for I will no longer [4] continue to [3] have mercy on [3] the house of Israel, [2] that I should in any way pardon [2] them. [1]
	⁷וְאֶת־בֵּ֤ית יְהוּדָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֲרַחֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְהוֹשַׁעְתִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בַּיהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta וְלֹ֣א אוֹשִׁיעֵ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a בְּקֶ֤שֶׁת וּבְחֶ֙רֶב֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וּבְמִלְחָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּסוּסִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וּבְפָרָשִֽׁים׃ [1] Silluq		⁷But on the house of Judah [3] I will have mercy, [2] and I will save them [2] by the LORD their God; [1] and I will not save them [3] by bow or by sword [3] or by battle, [2] by horses [2] or by horsemen.” [1]
	⁸וַתִּגְמֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha אֶת־לֹ֣א רֻחָ֑מָה [1] Munach Etnachta וַתַּ֖הַר [2] Tip'cha וַתֵּ֥לֶד בֵּֽן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁸And she weaned [2] Lo-Ruhamah; [1] and she conceived [2] and she bore a son. [1]
	⁹וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG קְרָ֥א שְׁמ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha לֹ֣א עַמִּ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta כִּ֤י אַתֶּם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לֹ֣א עַמִּ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef וְאָנֹכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha לֹא־אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ		⁹And he said, [2] “Call his name [2] Lo-Ammi; [1] for you [3] are not my people, [2] and I [2] I will not belong to you. [1] ¶
