אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 1 “Comfort, comfort [2]
my people,” [1]

עַל־לֵ֤ב יְרוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְקִרְא֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֤י מָֽלְאָה֙ [3] Pashta
צְבָאָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י נִרְצָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עֲוֺנָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י לָֽקְחָה֙ [3] Pashta
מִיַּ֣ד יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּפְלַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha

“In the wilderness [2]
make clear [2]
the way of the LORD! [1]
 
Make straight [3]
in the desert plain, [2]
 
a highway [2]
for our God. [1]

יִנָּשֵׂ֔א [2] Zaqef
 
וְכׇל־הַ֥ר וְגִבְעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יִשְׁפָּ֑לוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֤ה הֶֽעָקֹב֙ [3] Pashta
לְמִישׁ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָרְכָסִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְבִקְעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

it will be lifted up, [2]
 
and every mountain and hill, [2]
they will become low; [1]
 
and the steep place will become [3]
level ground, [2]
 
and the rough places [2]

the glory of the LORD; [1]
 
and all flesh will see it [3]
together, [2]

the mouth of the LORD [2]

אֹמֵ֣ר קְרָ֔א [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מָ֣ה אֶקְרָ֑א [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־הַבָּשָׂ֣ר חָצִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
וְכׇל־חַסְדּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
כְּצִ֥יץ הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

is saying, “Proclaim!” [2]
 
And he said, [2]
“What will I proclaim?” [1]
 
“All flesh is grass, [2]
and all its glory [2]
is like the flower of the field. [1]
7 יָבֵ֤שׁ חָצִיר֙ [3] Pashta
נָ֣בֵֽל צִ֔יץ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
ר֥וּחַ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נָ֣שְׁבָה בּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
אָכֵ֥ן חָצִ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

the flower withers, [2]
 
for [3]
the breath of the LORD, [2]
it blows on it; [1]
 
truly grass [2]
are the people. [1]
8 יָבֵ֥שׁ חָצִ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
נָ֣בֵֽל צִ֑יץ [1] Etnachta
 
וּדְבַר־אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
יָק֥וּם לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

but the word of our God, [2]
it will stand forever.” [1]

וְשָׁקַ֤ל בַּפֶּ֙לֶס֙ [3 3] Pashta

וּגְבָע֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
בְּמֹאזְנָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and the hills [2]
with scales? [1]
13 מִֽי־תִכֵּ֥ן אֶת־ר֖וּחַ [2] Tip'cha

עֲצָת֥וֹ יוֹדִיעֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 13 Who has directed the Spirit [2]
of the LORD; [1]
 
or as his counselor [2]
will teach him? [1]
14 אֶת־מִ֤י נוֹעָץ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיְבִינֵ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיְלַמְּדֵ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֹ֣רַח מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְלַמְּדֵ֣הוּ דַ֔עַת [2] Zaqef
וְדֶ֥רֶךְ תְּבוּנ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
יוֹדִיעֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and who instructed him, [2]
 
and taught him [2]
in the path of justice; [1]
 
and taught him knowledge, [2]
and the way of understanding [2]
will show him? [1]

וּכְשַׁ֥חַק מֹאזְנַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha

הֵ֥ן אִיִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
כַּדַּ֥ק יִטּֽוֹל׃ [1] Silluq

like a drop from a bucket, [2]
 
and like dust on a balance [2]
they are regarded; [1]
 
behold the islands [2]
like fine dust he lifts up. [1]

וְחַ֨יָּת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

and its animals, [2]
not sufficient [2]
for a burnt offering. [1]

כְּאַ֣יִן נֶגְדּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
מֵאֶ֥פֶס וָתֹ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
נֶחְשְׁבוּ־לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

are as nothing before him; [1]
 
from nothingness and emptiness [2]
they are regarded by him. [1]
18 וְאֶל־מִ֖י [2] Tip'cha

וּמַה־דְּמ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha
תַּ֥עַרְכוּ לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

will you liken God? [1]
 
And what likeness [2]
will you compare to him? [1]

נָסַ֣ךְ חָרָ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef

בַּזָּהָ֣ב יְרַקְּעֶ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּרְתֻק֥וֹת כֶּ֖סֶף [2] Tip'cha

a craftsman has cast, [2]
 
and a refiner, [2]
with gold he overlays it; [1]
 
and chains of silver [2]
refines. [1]
20 הַֽמְסֻכָּ֣ן תְּרוּמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
עֵ֥ץ לֹא־יִרְקַ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
יִבְחָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
חָרָ֤שׁ חָכָם֙ [3] Pashta
יְבַקֶּשׁ־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
לְהָכִ֥ין פֶּ֖סֶל [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א יִמּֽוֹט׃ [1] Silluq

a tree that will not rot [2]
he chooses; [1]
 
a skillful craftsman [3]
he seeks for himself, [2]
 
to prepare an idol [2]

with its inhabitants [2]
like grasshoppers; [1]
 
the one who stretched out like a curtain [3]

כַּתֹּ֥הוּ עָשָֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq

the judges of the earth [2]
he makes meaningless. [1]

Who is my equal?” [1]

the Holy One. [1]
26 שְׂאוּ־מָר֨וֹם עֵינֵיכֶ֤ם וּרְאוּ֙ [3] Pashta
מִי־בָרָ֣א אֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef
 
הַמּוֹצִ֥יא בְמִסְפָּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
צְבָאָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לְכֻלָּם֙ [3] Pashta
בְּשֵׁ֣ם יִקְרָ֔א [2] Zaqef
 
מֵרֹ֤ב אוֹנִים֙ [3] Pashta
וְאַמִּ֣יץ כֹּ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א נֶעְדָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

the one who brings out one by one [2]
their multitude? [1]

by name he calls. [2]
 
By greatness of might [3]

וּמֵאֱלֹהַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מִשְׁפָּטִ֥י יַעֲבֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq

O Jacob, [2]
 
and do you declare [2]
O Israel; [1]
 
“My way is hidden [3]
from the LORD, [2]
 
and by my God [2]
the justice due me is disregarded?” [1]

אֱלֹהֵ֨י עוֹלָ֤ם ׀ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

קְצ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֥א יִיעַ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א יִיגָ֑ע [1] Etnachta
 
אֵ֥ין חֵ֖קֶר [2] Tip'cha
לִתְבוּנָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

Or have you not heard? [3]
 
The everlasting God, the LORD, [3]
the Creator [3]
of the ends of the earth, [2]
 
he doesn’t faint [2]
and he doesn't grow weary; [1]
 
unsearchable [2]
is his understanding, [1]
29 נֹתֵ֥ן לַיָּעֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
כֹּ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְאֵ֥ין אוֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עׇצְמָ֥ה יַרְבֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 29 giving to the weary [2]
strength; [1]
 
and to him who has no power, [2]
strength he increases. [1]
30 וְיִעֲפ֥וּ נְעָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְיִגָ֑עוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּבַחוּרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
כָּשׁ֥וֹל יִכָּשֵֽׁלוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 30 Even youths faint [2]
and they grow weary; [1]
 
and young men, [2]
they surely stumble, [1]
31 וְקוֹיֵ֤ יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
יַחֲלִ֣יפוּ כֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
יַעֲל֥וּ אֵ֖בֶר [2] Tip'cha
כַּנְּשָׁרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
יָר֙וּצוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א יִיגָ֔עוּ [2] Zaqef
 
יֵלְכ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א יִיעָֽפוּ׃ [1] Silluq

they will renew strength, [2]
 
they will rise on wings [2]
like eagles; [1]

and they will not be weary, [2]
