1 הַחֲרִ֤ישׁוּ אֵלַי֙ [3] Pashta
אִיִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְאֻמִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַחֲלִ֣יפוּ כֹ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
יִגְּשׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אָ֣ז יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ [2] Zaqef
 
יַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
לַמִּשְׁפָּ֥ט נִקְרָֽבָה׃ [1] Silluq

O islands, [2]
 
and peoples, [2]
let them renew strength; [1]
 
let them approach [3]
then let them speak, [2]

for judgment let us draw near. [1]

כְּקַ֥שׁ נִדָּ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
קַשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

who in righteousness [2]
he calls to his foot? [1]
 
He delivers up before him nations, [3]
and kings he subdues, [2]
 
he makes them like the dust, [3]

he passes by safely; [1]
 
on a path with his feet [2]
that he had not come. [1]
4 מִֽי־פָעַ֣ל וְעָשָׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef
קֹרֵ֥א הַדֹּר֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
מֵרֹ֑אשׁ [1] Etnachta
 
אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
רִאשׁ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־אַחֲרֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲנִי־הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

calling forth the generations [2]
from the beginning? [1]
 
I the LORD, [3]
the first, [2]
 
and with the last, [2]

קְצ֥וֹת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
יֶחֱרָ֑דוּ [1] Etnachta
 
קָרְב֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וַיֶּאֱתָיֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq

and they are afraid, [2]
 
the ends of the earth, [2]
they tremble; [1]
 
they have drawn near [2]
and they have come. [1]
6 אִ֥ישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
יַעְזֹ֑רוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְאָחִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
יֹאמַ֥ר חֲזָֽק׃ [1] Silluq

they help; [1]
 
and to his brother [2]
he says, “Be strong!” [1]
7 וַיְחַזֵּ֤ק חָרָשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־צֹרֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
מַחֲלִ֥יק פַּטִּ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־ה֣וֹלֶם פָּ֑עַם [1] Etnachta
 
אֹמֵ֤ר לַדֶּ֙בֶק֙ [3 3] Pashta
ט֣וֹב ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְחַזְּקֵ֥הוּ בְמַסְמְרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א יִמּֽוֹט׃ [1] Silluq

a metalsmith, [2]
 
one who smooths with the hammer, [2]
a striker of an anvil; [1]
 
saying of the soldering, [3 3]
“It is good,” [2]
 
and he strengthens it with nails [2]
that it might not totter. [1]

אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹהֲבִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

Jacob [2]

the offspring [2]
of Abraham my friend, [1]
9 אֲשֶׁ֤ר הֶחֱזַקְתִּ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מִקְצ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֵאֲצִילֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
קְרָאתִ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וָאֹ֤מַר לְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
עַבְדִּי־אַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּחַרְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א מְאַסְתִּֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq

from the ends of the earth, [2]
 
and from its remotest parts [2]
I called you; [1]

‘You are my servant, [2]
 
I have chosen you [2]

כִּ֣י עִמְּךָ־אָ֔נִי [2] Zaqef
 
אַל־תִּשְׁתָּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
אִמַּצְתִּ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אַף־עֲזַרְתִּ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
אַף־תְּמַכְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
בִּימִ֥ין צִדְקִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

for I am with you, [2]
 
do not fear [2]
for I am your God; [1]
 
I will strengthen you [3 3]
and I will help you, [2]
 
and I will uphold you [2]

יִהְי֥וּ כְאַ֛יִן [3] Tevir
וְיֹאבְד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אַנְשֵׁ֥י רִיבֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

and they will be disgraced, [2]

who are angry with you; [1]
 
they will be as nothing [3]
and they will perish, [2]
those who strive with you. [1]

וְלֹ֣א תִמְצָאֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אַנְשֵׁ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מַצֻּתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
יִהְי֥וּ כְאַ֛יִן [3] Tevir
וּכְאֶ֖פֶס [2] Tip'cha
אַנְשֵׁ֥י מִלְחַמְתֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

and you won’t find them, [2]

contend with you; [1]
 
they will be as nothing, [3]
as nothing at all, [2]
those who war against you. [1]

וְגֹאֲלֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
קְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

תָּד֤וּשׁ הָרִים֙ [3] Pashta

sharp, new, [2]

teeth; [1]
 
you will thresh mountains [3]
and you will crush them, [2]

וְר֣וּחַ תִּשָּׂאֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּסְעָרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
תָּפִ֣יץ אוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
תָּגִ֣יל בַּֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בִּקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
תִּתְהַלָּֽל׃ [1] Silluq

מְבַקְשִׁ֥ים מַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
וָאַ֔יִן [2] Zaqef
 
לְשׁוֹנָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּצָּמָ֣א נָשָׁ֑תָּה [1] Etnachta
 
אֲנִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶעֱנֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א אֶעֶזְבֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq

וּבְת֥וֹךְ בְּקָע֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
מַעְיָנ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
אָשִׂ֤ים מִדְבָּר֙ [3] Pashta
לַאֲגַם־מַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶ֥רֶץ צִיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְמוֹצָ֥אֵי מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

rivers, [2]
 
and in the middle of the valleys, [2]
springs; [1]
 
I will make the wilderness [3]
a pool of water, [2]
 
and a dry land, [2]

אֶ֣רֶז שִׁטָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲדַ֖ס [2] Tip'cha
וְעֵ֣ץ שָׁ֑מֶן [1] Etnachta
 
אָשִׂ֣ים בָּעֲרָבָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
בְּר֛וֹשׁ [3] Tevir
תִּדְהָ֥ר וּתְאַשּׁ֖וּר [2] Tip'cha
יַחְדָּֽו׃ [1] Silluq

cedars, acacia trees, [2]
 
and myrtle trees [2]
and trees of oil; [1]
 
I will set in the desert plain, [3]

an abomination [2]
is he who chooses you. [1]
25 הַעִיר֤וֹתִי מִצָּפוֹן֙ [3] Pashta

מִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha
יִקְרָ֣א בִשְׁמִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְיָבֹ֤א סְגָנִים֙ [3] Pashta
כְּמוֹ־חֹ֔מֶר [2] Zaqef
 
וּכְמ֥וֹ יוֹצֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
יִרְמׇס־טִֽיט׃ [1] Silluq

from the rising of the sun [2]
one who calls on my name; [1]

וְנֵדָ֔עָה [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִלְּפָנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְנֹאמַ֣ר צַדִּ֑יק [1] Etnachta
 
אַ֣ף אֵין־מַגִּ֗יד [3] Revi'i
אַ֚ף [3] Yetiv
אֵ֣ין מַשְׁמִ֔יעַ [2] Zaqef
 
אַ֥ף אֵין־שֹׁמֵ֖עַ [2] Tip'cha
אִמְרֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

that we may know, [2]
 
and beforehand [2]
that we may say ‘He is right?’ [1]
 
Surely there was none who declared it, [3]
surely [3]
there was none who proclaimed, [2]
 
surely there was none who heard [2]
your words. [1]
27 רִאשׁ֥וֹן לְצִיּ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
הִנֵּ֣ה הִנָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְלִירוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם [2] Tip'cha
מְבַשֵּׂ֥ר אֶתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 27 First it was to Zion, [2]
‘Behold, here they are,’ [1]
 
and to Jerusalem [2]
I give a bearer of good news. [1]
28 וְאֵ֙רֶא֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְאֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֵאֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֣ין יוֹעֵ֑ץ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶשְׁאָלֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְיָשִׁ֥יבוּ דָבָֽר׃ [1] Silluq

there is no one, [2]
 
even from these [2]
there is no counselor; [1]
 
when I ask them, [2]
who can answer a word. [1]

מַעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
ר֥וּחַ וָתֹ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
נִסְכֵּיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

deception, nothing [2]
are their deeds; [1]
 
a wind and emptiness [2]
