	¹וְעַתָּ֥ה שְׁמַ֖ע [2] Merkha Tip'cha יַֽעֲקֹ֣ב עַבְדִּ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha בָּחַ֥רְתִּי בֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹But listen now [2] O Jacob my servant; [1] Israel [2] on whom my choice is fixed. [1]
	²כֹּה־אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֥ה עֹשֶׂ֛ךָ [3] Qadma Merkha Tevir וְיֹצֶרְךָ֥ מִבֶּ֖טֶן [2] Merkha Tip'cha יַעְזְרֶ֑ךָּ [1] Etnachta אַל־תִּירָא֙ [3] Pashta עַבְדִּ֣י יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef וִישֻׁר֖וּן [2] Tip'cha בָּחַ֥רְתִּי בֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²Thus says the LORD who made you [3] and who formed you from the womb, [2] he will help you; [1] “Do not be afraid [3] O my servant Jacob, [2] Jeshurun [2] on whom my choice is fixed. [1]
	³כִּ֤י אֶצׇּק־מַ֙יִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עַל־צָמֵ֔א [2] Zaqef וְנֹזְלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עַל־יַבָּשָׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶצֹּ֤ק רוּחִי֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עַל־זַרְעֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef וּבִרְכָתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עַל־צֶאֱצָאֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq		³For I will pour out water [3] on the thirsty land, [2] and streams [2] on the dry ground; [1] I will pour out my Spirit [3] on your offspring, [2] and my blessing [2] on your descendants, [1]
	⁴וְצָמְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בְּבֵ֣ין חָצִ֑יר [1] Munach Etnachta כַּעֲרָבִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha עַל־יִבְלֵי־מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq		⁴and they will spring up [2] among the grass; [1] like willows [2] by flowing streams. [1]
	⁵זֶ֤ה יֹאמַר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לַיהֹוָ֣ה אָ֔נִי [2] Munach Zaqef וְזֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יִקְרָ֣א בְשֵֽׁם־יַעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Munach Etnachta וְזֶ֗ה [3] Revi'a יִכְתֹּ֤ב יָדוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לַֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּבְשֵׁ֥ם יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha יְכַנֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ		⁵This one will say, [3] ‘I belong to the LORD,’ [2] and that one, [2] he will be called by the name Jacob; [1] and another, [3] he will write on his hand [3] ‘belongs to the LORD,’ [2] and the name Israel [2] he will take.” [1] ¶
	⁶כֹּה־אָמַ֨ר יְהֹוָ֧ה מֶלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל [3] Qadma Darga Tevir וְגֹאֲל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta אֲנִ֤י רִאשׁוֹן֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַאֲנִ֣י אַחֲר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef וּמִבַּלְעָדַ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֵ֥ין אֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁶Thus says the LORD the King of Israel [3] and his Redeemer, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] “I am the first [3] and I am the last, [2] and besides me [2] there is no God. [1]
	⁷וּמִי־כָמ֣וֹנִי יִקְרָ֗א [3] Munach Revi'a וְיַגִּידֶ֤הָ וְיַעְרְכֶ֙הָ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לִ֔י [2] Zaqef מִשּׂוּמִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עַם־עוֹלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְאֹתִיּ֛וֹת [3] Tevir וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר תָּבֹ֖אנָה [2] Merkha Tip'cha יַגִּ֥ידוּ לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁷And who is like me? Let him proclaim it. [3] And let him declare it and recount it in order [3] to me, [2] from when I established [2] a nation long ago; [1] What is coming [3] and what will happen, [2] let them declare to them. [1]
	⁸אַֽל־תִּפְחֲדוּ֙ [3] Pashta וְאַל־תִּרְה֔וּ [2] Zaqef הֲלֹ֥א מֵאָ֛ז [3] Merkha Tevir הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֥יךָ וְהִגַּ֖דְתִּי [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְאַתֶּ֣ם עֵדָ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta הֲיֵ֤שׁ אֱל֙וֹהַּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מִבַּלְעָדַ֔י [2] Zaqef וְאֵ֥ין צ֖וּר [2] Merkha Tip'cha בַּל־יָדָֽעְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq		⁸Do not dread [3] and do not fear, [2] was it not long ago [3] I told you and I declared, [2] and you are my witnesses; [1] is there a God [3] besides me? [2] And there is no other Rock, [2] none do I know.” [1]
	⁹יֹצְרֵי־פֶ֤סֶל כֻּלָּם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta תֹּ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef וַחֲמוּדֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּל־יוֹעִ֑ילוּ [1] Etnachta וְעֵדֵיהֶ֣ם הֵ֗ׄמָּׄהׄ [3] Munach Revi'a בַּל־יִרְא֛וּ [3] Tevir וּבַל־יֵדְע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha לְמַ֥עַן יֵבֹֽשׁוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁹All those who fashion idols [3] are emptiness, [2] and the things they delight in, [2] they do not profit; [1] and their own witnesses they are, [3] they don’t see [3] and they don't know, [2] that they may be put to shame. [1]
	¹⁰מִֽי־יָצַ֥ר אֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha וּפֶ֣סֶל נָסָ֑ךְ [1] Munach Etnachta לְבִלְתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha הוֹעִֽיל׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰Who fashions a god [2] or casts an idol; [1] for no [2] profit? [1]
	¹¹הֵ֤ן כׇּל־חֲבֵרָיו֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יֵבֹ֔שׁוּ [2] Zaqef וְחָרָשִׁ֥ים הֵ֖מָּה [2] Merkha Tip'cha מֵאָדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta יִֽתְקַבְּצ֤וּ כֻלָּם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יַעֲמֹ֔דוּ [2] Zaqef יִפְחֲד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha יֵבֹ֥שׁוּ יָֽחַד׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹¹Behold all his friends, [3] they will be ashamed, [2] for the craftsmen [2] are only human; [1] let them all assemble, [3] let them stand up, [2] let them be in dread, [2] let them be put to shame together. [1]
	¹²חָרַ֤שׁ בַּרְזֶל֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מַֽעֲצָ֔ד [2] Zaqef וּפָעַל֙ [3] Pashta בַּפֶּחָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וּבַמַּקָּב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha יִצְּרֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta וַיִּפְעָלֵ֙הוּ֙ [3] Pashta בִּזְר֣וֹעַ כֹּח֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef גַּם־רָעֵב֙ [3] Pashta וְאֵ֣ין כֹּ֔חַ [2] Munach Zaqef לֹא־שָׁ֥תָה מַ֖יִם [2] Merkha Tip'cha וַיִּיעָֽף׃ [1] Silluq		¹²A blacksmith [3] takes a tool, [2] and he works it [3] over the coals [2] and with hammers [2] he fashions it; [1] and he works it [3] with his strong arm, [2] but he is hungry [3] and his strength fails, [2] he drinks no water [2] and he gets tired. [1]
	¹³חָרַ֣שׁ עֵצִים֮ [3] Munach Zarqa נָ֣טָה קָו֒ [2] Munach Segol יְתָאֲרֵ֣הוּ בַשֶּׂ֔רֶד [2] Munach Zaqef יַעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ [3] Pashta בַּמַּקְצֻע֔וֹת [2] Zaqef וּבַמְּחוּגָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יְתׇאֳרֵ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta וַֽיַּעֲשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ [3] Pashta כְּתַבְנִ֣ית אִ֔ישׁ [2] Munach Zaqef כְּתִפְאֶ֥רֶת אָדָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha לָשֶׁ֥בֶת בָּֽיִת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹³A carpenter, [3] he stretches out a line, [2] he marks it with a pencil, [2] he shapes it [3] with planes, [2] and with a compass [2] he marks it; [1] and he shapes it [3] like the figure of a man, [2] like the beauty of a man, [2] to be set in a shrine. [1]
	¹⁴לִכְרׇת־ל֣וֹ אֲרָזִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef וַיִּקַּ֤ח תִּרְזָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְאַלּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef וַיְאַמֶּץ־ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha בַּעֲצֵי־יָ֑עַר [1] Etnachta נָטַ֥ע אֹ֖רֶן [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְגֶ֥שֶׁם יְגַדֵּֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁴He cuts down cedars for himself, [2] or he chooses a cypress [3] or an oak [2] and he lets it grow strong [2] among the trees of the forest; [1] he plants a pine tree [2] and the rain makes it grow. [1]
	¹⁵וְהָיָ֤ה לְאָדָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְבָעֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef וַיִּקַּ֤ח מֵהֶם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וַיָּ֔חׇם [2] Zaqef אַף־יַשִּׂ֖יק [2] Tip'cha וְאָ֣פָה לָ֑חֶם [1] Munach Etnachta אַף־יִפְעַל־אֵל֙ [3] Pashta וַיִּשְׁתָּ֔חוּ [2] Zaqef עָשָׂ֥הוּ פֶ֖סֶל [2] Merkha Tip'cha וַיִּסְגׇּד־לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁵Then it is something for a man [3] to burn, [2] so he takes one of them [3] and he warms himself, [2] and he makes a fire [2] and he bakes bread; [1] he also makes a god [3] and he worships it, [2] he makes it an idol [2] and he bows before it. [1]
	¹⁶חֶצְיוֹ֙ [3] Pashta שָׂרַ֣ף בְּמוֹ־אֵ֔שׁ [2] Munach Zaqef עַל־חֶצְיוֹ֙ [3] Pashta בָּשָׂ֣ר יֹאכֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef יִצְלֶ֥ה צָלִ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְיִשְׂבָּ֑ע [1] Etnachta אַף־יָחֹם֙ [3] Pashta וְיֹאמַ֣ר הֶאָ֔ח [2] Munach Zaqef חַמּוֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha רָאִ֥יתִי אֽוּר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁶Half of it [3] he burns in the fire, [2] over (this) half of it [3] he eats meat, [2] he roasts a roast [2] and he is satisfied; [1] he also warms himself [3] and he says, “Ah! [2] I am warm, [2] I have seen the fire.” [1]
	¹⁷וּשְׁאֵ֣רִית֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef לְאֵ֥ל עָשָׂ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְפִסְל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta יסגוד *יִסְגׇּד־ל֤וֹ וְיִשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְיִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלָ֔יו [2] Munach Zaqef וְיֹאמַר֙ [3] Pashta הַצִּילֵ֔נִי [2] Zaqef כִּ֥י אֵלִ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha אָֽתָּה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷But the rest of it [2] he makes into a god, [2] into his idol; [1] he falls down before it and he worships [3] and he prays to it, [2] and he says, [3] “Deliver me, [2] for my god [2] you are!” [1]
	¹⁸לֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְלֹ֣א יָבִ֑ינוּ [1] Munach Etnachta כִּ֣י טַ֤ח מֵֽרְאוֹת֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta עֵינֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef מֵהַשְׂכִּ֖יל [2] Tip'cha לִבֹּתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁸They don’t know [2] and they don't understand; [1] for he has covered over from seeing, [3] their eyes, [2] and from understanding, [2] their hearts. [1]
	¹⁹וְלֹֽא־יָשִׁ֣יב אֶל־לִבּ֗וֹ [3] Munach Revi'a וְלֹ֨א דַ֥עַת וְלֹא־תְבוּנָה֮ [3] Qadma Merkha Zarqa לֵאמֹר֒ [2] Segol חֶצְי֞וֹ [4] Gershayim שָׂרַ֣פְתִּי בְמוֹ־אֵ֗שׁ [3] Munach Revi'a וְ֠אַ֠ף [4] TelishaG אָפִ֤יתִי עַל־גֶּחָלָיו֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לֶ֔חֶם [2] Zaqef אֶצְלֶ֥ה בָשָׂ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְאֹכֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta וְיִתְרוֹ֙ [3] Pashta לְתוֹעֵבָ֣ה אֶעֱשֶׂ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef לְב֥וּל עֵ֖ץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֶסְגּֽוֹד׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁹And he doesn't reflect in his heart, [3] with no knowledge and no understanding [3] to say, [2] “Half of it [4] I burned in a fire, [3] and also [4] I baked on its coals, [3] bread. [2] I roasted meat [2] and I ate it; [1] and then the rest of it [3] shall I make into an abomination? [2] Before a tree trunk [2] shall I bow down?” [1]
	²⁰רֹעֶ֣ה אֵ֔פֶר [2] Munach Zaqef לֵ֥ב הוּתַ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha הִטָּ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta וְלֹא־יַצִּ֤יל אֶת־נַפְשׁוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְלֹ֣א יֹאמַ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef הֲל֥וֹא שֶׁ֖קֶר [2] Merkha Tip'cha בִּימִינִֽי׃ [1] Silluq ס		²⁰He is feeding on ashes. [2] A deceived heart, [2] it has led him astray; [1] so he can’t deliver his soul, [3] and he can't say, [2] “Is there not a lie [2] in my right hand?” [1] §
	²¹זְכׇר־אֵ֣לֶּה יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha כִּ֣י עַבְדִּי־אָ֑תָּה [1] Munach Etnachta יְצַרְתִּ֤יךָ עֶֽבֶד־לִי֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha לֹ֥א תִנָּשֵֽׁנִי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²¹Remember these things O Jacob, [2] and O Israel [2] for my servant are you; [1] I formed you, a servant to me [3] are you, [2] O Israel [2] I will not forget you. [1]
	²²מָחִ֤יתִי כָעָב֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta פְּשָׁעֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef וְכֶעָנָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha חַטֹּאותֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta שׁוּבָ֥ה אֵלַ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha כִּ֥י גְאַלְתִּֽיךָ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²²I have blotted out like a thick cloud [3] your transgressions, [2] and like a mist, [2] your sins; [1] return to me, [2] for I have redeemed you. 	²³רׇנּ֨וּ שָׁמַ֜יִם [4] Qadma Geresh כִּֽי־עָשָׂ֣ה יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a הָרִ֙יעוּ֙ [3] Pashta תַּחְתִּיּ֣וֹת אָ֔רֶץ [2] Munach Zaqef פִּצְח֤וּ הָרִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta רִנָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef יַ֖עַר [2] Tip'cha וְכׇל־עֵ֣ץ בּ֑וֹ [1] Munach Etnachta כִּֽי־גָאַ֤ל יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef וּבְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha יִתְפָּאָֽר׃ [1] Silluq ס		²³Sing O heavens [4] for the LORD has done it! [3] Shout [3] O depths of the earth! [2] Break forth O mountains [3] into singing, [2] O forest [2] and every tree in it; [1] for the LORD has redeemed [3] Jacob, [2] and through Israel [2] he will be glorified. [1] §
	²⁴כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta גֹּאֲלֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef וְיֹצֶרְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha מִבָּ֑טֶן [1] Etnachta אָנֹכִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עֹ֣שֶׂה כֹּ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef נֹטֶ֤ה שָׁמַ֙יִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְבַדִּ֔י [2] Zaqef רֹקַ֥ע הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha מי אתי **מֵאִתִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq		²⁴Thus says the LORD [3] your Redeemer, [2] and who formed you [2] from the womb; [1] “I am the LORD, [3] maker of all things, [2] stretching out the heavens, [3] I alone, [2] spreading out the earth [2] by myself, [1]
	²⁵מֵפֵר֙ [3] Pashta אֹת֣וֹת בַּדִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef וְקֹסְמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha יְהוֹלֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta מֵשִׁ֧יב חֲכָמִ֛ים [3] Darga Tevir אָח֖וֹר [2] Tip'cha וְדַעְתָּ֥ם יְסַכֵּֽל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²⁵frustrating [3] the omens of boasters, [2] and diviners [2] making into fools; [1] turning the wise [3] backwards, [2] and their knowledge making foolish, [1]
	²⁶מֵקִים֙ [3] Pashta דְּבַ֣ר עַבְדּ֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef וַעֲצַ֥ת מַלְאָכָ֖יו [2] Merkha Tip'cha יַשְׁלִ֑ים [1] Etnachta הָֽאֹמֵ֨ר לִירוּשָׁלַ֜͏ִם [4] Qadma Geresh תּוּשָׁ֗ב [3] Revi'a וּלְעָרֵ֤י יְהוּדָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta תִּבָּנֶ֔ינָה [2] Zaqef וְחׇרְבוֹתֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha אֲקוֹמֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq		²⁶confirming [3] the word of his servant, [2] and the counsel of his messengers [2] fulfilling; [1] saying of Jerusalem, [4] ‘She will be inhabited,’ [3] and of the cities of Judah, [3] ‘They will be rebuilt, [2] and their ruins [2] I will raise up,’ [1]
	²⁷הָאֹמֵ֥ר לַצּוּלָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha חֳרָ֑בִי [1] Etnachta וְנַהֲרֹתַ֖יִךְ [2] Tip'cha אוֹבִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq		²⁷saying to the deep, [2] ‘Be dry; [1] and your rivers [2] I will dry up,’ [1]
	²⁸הָאֹמֵ֤ר לְכ֙וֹרֶשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta רֹעִ֔י [2] Zaqef וְכׇל־חֶפְצִ֖י [2] Tip'cha יַשְׁלִ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְלֵאמֹ֤ר לִירוּשָׁלַ֙͏ִם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta תִּבָּנֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְהֵיכָ֖ל [2] Tip'cha תִּוָּסֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq פ		²⁸saying of Cyrus, [3] ‘My shepherd, [2] and all my purpose [2] he shall fulfill;’ [1] saying of Jerusalem, [3] ‘She shall be built,’ [2] and of the Temple, [2] ‘Your foundation shall be laid.’ ” [1] ¶
