1 שִׁמְעוּ־זֹ֣את בֵּֽית־יַעֲקֹ֗ב [3] Revi'i
הַנִּקְרָאִים֙ [3] Pashta
בְּשֵׁ֣ם יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִמֵּ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יָצָ֑אוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הַֽנִּשְׁבָּעִ֣ים ׀ [4] Legarmeh
בְּשֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּבֵאלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta
יַזְכִּ֔ירוּ [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֥א בֶאֱמֶ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א בִצְדָקָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

by the name of Israel, [2]
 
and from the waters of Judah [2]

who swear [4]
by the name of the LORD, [3]

(but) not in truth [2]
and not in righteousness, [1]

וְעַל־אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
נִסְמָ֑כוּ [1] Etnachta
 
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD of Hosts [2]

3 הָרִֽאשֹׁנוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
מֵאָ֣ז הִגַּ֔דְתִּי [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִפִּ֥י יָצְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וְאַשְׁמִיעֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
פִּתְאֹ֥ם עָשִׂ֖יתִי [2] Tip'cha
וַתָּבֹֽאנָה׃ [1] Silluq

from of old I have declared, [2]
 
and from my mouth they went out [2]
and I proclaimed them; [1]
 
I acted suddenly [2]
and they came. [1]
4 מִדַּעְתִּ֕י [2] ZaqefG
כִּ֥י קָשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אָ֑תָּה [1] Etnachta
 
וְגִ֤יד בַּרְזֶל֙ [3] Pashta
עׇרְפֶּ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִצְחֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
נְחוּשָֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq

that obstinate [2]
were you; [1]
 
and a sinew of iron [3]
was your neck, [2]
 
and your forehead [2]
bronze, [1]
5 וָאַגִּ֤יד לְךָ֙ [3] Pashta

בְּטֶ֥רֶם תָּב֖וֹא [2] Tip'cha
הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־תֹּאמַר֙ [3] Pashta
עׇצְבִּ֣י עָשָׂ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּפִסְלִ֥י וְנִסְכִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
צִוָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

from of old, [2]
 
before it came to pass [2]
I proclaimed (it) to you; [1]
 
lest you should say, [3]
‘My idol, it did them, [2]
 
and my engraved image and my molten image, [2]
it commanded them.’ [1]
6 שָׁמַ֚עְתָּֽ [3] Yetiv
חֲזֵה֙ [3] Pashta
כֻּלָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאַתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הֲל֣וֹא תַגִּ֑ידוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הִשְׁמַעְתִּ֤יךָ חֲדָשׁוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
מֵעַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef
 
וּנְצֻר֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א יְדַעְתָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

look at [3]
all of it, [2]
 
and you, [2]
will you not declare it? [1]
 
I will proclaim to you new things [3]
from now on, [2]
 
and hidden things [2]
which you have not known. [1]
7 עַתָּ֤ה נִבְרְאוּ֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א מֵאָ֔ז [2] Zaqef
 
וְלִפְנֵי־י֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א שְׁמַעְתָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־תֹּאמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
הִנֵּ֥ה יְדַעְתִּֽין׃ [1] Silluq

and not from of old, [2]
 
and before today [2]
you had not heard of them; [1]
 
lest you should say, [2]
‘Behold, I knew them.’ [1]
8 גַּ֣ם לֹֽא־שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ [3] Revi'i

לֹ֣א יָדַ֔עְתָּ [2] Zaqef
 
גַּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG

לֹא־פִתְּחָ֣ה אׇזְנֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
בָּג֣וֹד תִּבְגּ֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
 
וּפֹשֵׁ֥עַ מִבֶּ֖טֶן [2] Tip'cha
קֹ֥רָא לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

you didn’t know, [2]
 
and [2]
from of old [2]
your ear was not opened; [1]
 
for I knew [3 3]
you surely would act treacherously, [2]
 
for a rebel from the womb [2]
you have been called. [1]
9 לְמַ֤עַן שְׁמִי֙ [3] Pashta
אַאֲרִ֣יךְ אַפִּ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וּתְהִלָּתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֶחֱטׇם־לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
לְבִלְתִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הַכְרִיתֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

I will defer my anger - [2]
 
and my praise, [2]
I will restrain myself to you; [1]
 
to not, [2]
to cut you off. [1]
10 הִנֵּ֥ה צְרַפְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א בְכָ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta
 
בְּחַרְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
בְּכ֥וּר עֹֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 10 Behold I have refined you [2]
but not as silver; [1]
 
I have chosen you [2]
in a furnace of affliction. [1]
11 לְמַעֲנִ֧י לְמַעֲנִ֛י [3] Tevir
אֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כִּ֣י אֵ֣יךְ יֵחָ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וּכְבוֹדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לְאַחֵ֥ר לֹֽא־אֶתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq

I will act, [2]
for how could it be profaned; [1]
 
and my glory [2]
to another I will not give. [1]

וִימִינִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
טִפְּחָ֣ה שָׁמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
קֹרֵ֥א אֲנִ֛י [3] Tevir
אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יַעַמְד֥וּ יַחְדָּֽו׃ [1] Silluq

it laid the foundation of the earth, [2]
 
and my right hand, [2]
it spread out the heavens; [1]
 
when I call [3]
to them, [2]
they stand together. [1]
14 הִקָּבְצ֤וּ כֻלְּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וּֽשְׁמָ֔עוּ [2] Zaqef
 
מִ֥י בָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הִגִּ֣יד אֶת־אֵ֑לֶּה [1] Etnachta
 
יְהֹוָ֣ה אֲהֵב֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
יַעֲשֶׂ֤ה חֶפְצוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּבָבֶ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וּזְרֹע֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
כַּשְׂדִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq

and hear. [2]
 
Who among them [2]
has declared these things? [1]
 
He whom the LORD loves, [2]
 
he will do what he likes [3]
to Babylon, [2]
 
and (to) his arm [2]

אַף־קְרָאתִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
הֲבִֽאֹתִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וְהִצְלִ֥יחַ דַּרְכּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

I have spoken, [2]
and I have called him; [1]
 
I have brought him [2]
and he shall make his way successful. [1]
16 קִרְב֧וּ אֵלַ֣י שִׁמְעוּ־זֹ֗את [3] Revi'i
לֹ֤א מֵרֹאשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
בַּסֵּ֣תֶר דִּבַּ֔רְתִּי [2] Zaqef
 
מֵעֵ֥ת הֱיוֹתָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
שָׁ֣ם אָ֑נִי [1] Etnachta
 
וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה [3] Tevir
שְׁלָחַ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
וְרוּחֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

in secret have I spoken, [2]

17 כֹּה־אָמַ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir

קְד֣וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
אֲנִ֨י יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מְלַמֶּדְךָ֣ לְהוֹעִ֔יל [2] Zaqef
 
מַדְרִֽיכְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ תֵּלֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

your Redeemer, [2]
the Holy One of Israel; [1]
 
“I am the LORD your God [3 3]
who teaches you to profit, [2]
 
who leads you [2]
in the way you will go. [1]
18 ל֥וּא הִקְשַׁ֖בְתָּ [2] Tip'cha
לְמִצְוֺתָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְהִ֤י כַנָּהָר֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁלוֹמֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְצִדְקָתְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
כְּגַלֵּ֥י הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 18 Oh that you had paid attention [2]
to my commandments! [1]
 
Then it would have been like a river, [3]
your peace, [2]
 
and your righteousness [2]
like the waves of the sea. [1]
19 וַיְהִ֤י כַחוֹל֙ [3] Pashta
זַרְעֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְצֶאֱצָאֵ֥י מֵעֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
כִּמְעֹתָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
לֹא־יִכָּרֵ֧ת וְֽלֹא־יִשָּׁמֵ֛ד [3] Tevir
שְׁמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מִלְּפָנָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 3 19 And it would have been like the sand, [3]
your offspring, [2]
 
and the descendants of your body [2]
like its grains; [1]
 
it would not be cut off and it would not be destroyed, [3]
its name, [2]
from before me.” [1]

בְּק֣וֹל רִנָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
הַגִּ֤ידוּ הַשְׁמִ֙יעוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
זֹ֔את [2] Zaqef
 
הוֹצִיא֖וּהָ [2] Tip'cha
עַד־קְצֵ֣ה הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
אִמְר֕וּ [2] ZaqefG
גָּאַ֥ל יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַבְדּ֥וֹ יַעֲקֹֽב׃ [1] Silluq

Flee from the Kasdim! [2]
 
With a voice of a shout of joy, [3]
declare, proclaim [3 3]

send it out [2]

his servant Jacob!” [1]
21 וְלֹ֣א צָמְא֗וּ [3] Revi'i
בׇּֽחֳרָבוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
הוֹלִיכָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
מַ֥יִם מִצּ֖וּר [2] Tip'cha
הִזִּ֣יל לָ֑מוֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּ֨בְקַע־צ֔וּר [2] Zaqef
וַיָּזֻ֖בוּ [2] Tip'cha
מָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

when through the deserts [3]
he led them, [2]
 
water from a rock [2]
he caused to flow for them; [1]
 
for he split open a rock [2]
and out they flowed, [2]
the waters. [1]
22 אֵ֣ין שָׁל֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לָרְשָׁעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
