ישעה 49 | Isaiah 49 | |||
1 Listen O islands [3] to me, [2] from afar; [1] he has called me from the womb, [2] he has named me. [1] |
2 And he made my mouth [3] like a sharp sword, [2] he hid me; [1] a polished arrow, [2] he concealed me. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 And he said to me, [2] “You are my servant; [1] in whom [2] I will be glorified.” [1] |
4 But I, I said, [3 3] “In vain I have labored, [2] I have spent my strength; [1] the justice due to me is with the LORD, [2] with my God.” [1] § |
5 And now [4] he says, the LORD, [3] to be his servant, [2] to him, [2] to gather to him; [1] in the eyes of the LORD, [2] he has been my strength, [1] |
6 and he says, [3] “It is too light a thing that you should be to me [3] a servant [2] the tribes of Jacob [2] to bring back; [1] a light for the nations, [2] to the end of the earth.” [1] § |
7 Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, [4] its Holy One, [3] to one the nation abhors, [3] to a servant of rulers, [2] they will see and they will rise up, [2] and they will bow down; [1] who is faithful, [2] who has chosen you.” [1] § |
8 Thus [4] says the LORD, [3] I will answer you, [2] I will help you; [1] and I will make you [3] a covenant of the people, [2] to give as inheritance [2] the desolate heritage, [1] |
9 saying to the prisoners, [3] ‘Come out!’ [2] ‘Show yourselves!’ [1] and on all the bare heights [2] will be their pasture. [1] |
10 They will not be hungry [3 3] and they will not be thirsty, [2] and sun; [1] and by springs of water [2] he will guide them. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 And I will make all my mountains [2] a road; [1] they will be raised up. [1] |
12 Behold these, [2] from afar [2] they will come; [1] from the north and from the west, [2] from the land of Sinim.” [1] |
13 Shout for joy O heavens [3 3] and rejoice O earth, [2] with a shout of joy; [1] his people, [2] he has compassion on. [1] § |
[1] Silluq |
14 But Zion said, [2] “The LORD has forsaken me; [1] he has forgotten me.” [1] |
15 “Can a woman forget [3] her nursing child, [2] the child of her womb? [1] yet I, [2] I will not forget you. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
16 Behold on the palms of (my) hands [2] I have inscribed you; [1] continually. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 They will make haste, [2] your children; [1] from you they will go away. [1] |
18 Lift up your eyes all around [3 3] and see, [2] they gather together, they come to you; [1] “Surely all of them [3] like ornaments you will put on, [2] like a bride. [1] |
19 “As for your waste places [3 3] and your desolate, [2] of your destruction; [1] you will be too cramped for the inhabitants, [2] those who swallowed you up. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 Yet [3] they will say in your ears, [2] of your bereavement; [1] make room for me to settle in.’ [1] |
21 וְאָמַ֣רְתְּ בִּלְבָבֵ֗ךְ [3] Revi'i מִ֤י יָֽלַד־לִי֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־אֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef וְגַלְמוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְסוּרָ֗ה [3] Revi'i מִ֣י גִדֵּ֔ל [2] Zaqef נִשְׁאַ֣רְתִּי לְבַדִּ֔י [2] Zaqef אֵיפֹ֥ה הֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
21 Then you will say in your heart, [3] ‘Who has borne for me [3] these, [2] and barren; [1] and cast aside, [3] who has brought these up? [2] I remained, I alone, [2] where were they?’ ” [1] ¶ |
22 Thus he says, [4] the Lord GOD, [3] my hand, [2] I will raise my banner; [1] in (their) bosom, [2] on (their) shoulder they will be carried. [1] |
23 And kings will be [4] your foster fathers, [3] your nursing mothers, [2] (to the) ground [3] they will bow down to you, [2] they will lick; [1] that I am the LORD, [2] those who wait for me.” [1] § |
24 Can it be taken from the mighty, [2] plunder; [1] be delivered? [1] § |
25 For thus [4] says the LORD, [3] he will be taken, [2] it will be rescued; [1] I, I will oppose, [2] I, I will save. [1] |
26 And I will make those who oppress you eat [3 3] their own flesh, [2] on their own blood they will become drunk; [1] that I the LORD [3] am your Deliverer, [2] the Mighty One of Jacob.” [1] § |
