1 וַיַּ֥עַן אִיּ֗וֹב [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 1 Then Job answered [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 אׇ֭מְנָם [3] Dechi
כִּ֣י אַתֶּם־עָ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝עִמָּכֶ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תָּמ֥וּת חׇכְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “Truly [3]
then you are the people; [2]
 
and with you, [2]
wisdom will die. [1]
3 גַּם־לִ֤י לֵבָ֨ב ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
כְּֽמוֹכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
 
לֹא־נֹפֵ֣ל אָנֹכִ֣י [3] VDechi
מִכֶּ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־מִי־אֵ֥ין כְּמוֹ־אֵֽלֶּה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 3 But I too have understanding [4]
like you, [3]
 
I am not fallen [3]
more than you; [2]
 
and who doesn’t know such things as these? [1]
4 שְׂחֹ֤ק לְרֵעֵ֨הוּ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
אֶהְיֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
קֹרֵ֣א לֶ֭אֱלוֹהַּ [3] Dechi
וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta
 
שְׂ֝ח֗וֹק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
צַדִּ֥יק תָּמִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 4 A laughingstock to his neighbor [4]
I am, [3]
 
I who called on God [3]
and he answered him; [2]
 
a laughingstock [2]
is the just, the blameless. [1]
5 לַפִּ֣יד בּ֭וּז [3] Dechi
לְעַשְׁתּ֣וּת שַׁאֲנָ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
נָ֝כ֗וֹן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְמ֣וֹעֲדֵי רָֽגֶל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 There is contempt for misfortune [3]
in the thought of one who is at ease; [2]
 
that it only [2]
belongs to those whose feet are slipping. [1]
6 יִשְׁלָ֤יוּ אֹהָלִ֨ים ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
לְשֹׁ֥דְדִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
וּֽ֭בַטֻּחוֹת [3] Dechi
לְמַרְגִּ֣יזֵי אֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
לַאֲשֶׁ֤ר הֵבִ֖יא אֱל֣וֹהַּ [2] VRevMug
בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 3 2 6 They are at ease, the tents [4]
of destroyers, [3]
 
and security [3]
belongs to those who provoke God; [2]
 
to those whom God has carried [2]
in his hand. [1]
7 וְֽאוּלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
שְׁאַל־נָ֣א בְהֵמ֣וֹת [3] VDechi
וְתֹרֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְע֥וֹף הַ֝שָּׁמַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְיַגֶּד־לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 7 “But [3]
ask now the animals [3]
and they will teach you; [2]
 
or the birds of the heavens [2]
and they will tell you, [1]
8 א֤וֹ שִׂ֣יחַ לָאָ֣רֶץ [3] VDechi
וְתֹרֶ֑ךָּ [2] Etnachta
 
וִיסַפְּר֥וּ לְ֝ךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
דְּגֵ֣י הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 or speak to the earth [3]
and it will teach you; [2]
 
or let them declare to you, [2]
the fish of the sea. [1]
9 מִ֭י [3] Dechi
לֹא־יָדַ֣ע בְּכׇל־אֵ֑לֶּה [2] Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י יַד־יְ֝הֹוָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עָ֣שְׂתָה זֹּֽאת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Which [3]
of all these does not know; [2]
 
that the hand of the LORD, [2]
it has done this, [1]
10 אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּ֭יָדוֹ [3] Dechi
נֶ֣פֶשׁ כׇּל־חָ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝ר֗וּחַ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כׇּל־בְּשַׂר־אִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 in whose hand [3]
is the life of every living thing; [2]
 
and the breath [2]
of all mankind? [1]
11 הֲלֹא־אֹ֭זֶן [3] Dechi
מִלִּ֣ין תִּבְחָ֑ן [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝חֵ֗ךְ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֹ֣כֶל יִטְעַם־לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Does not the ear [3]
test words; [2]
 
as the palate [2]
tastes its food? [1]
12 בִּישִׁישִׁ֥ים חׇכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֹ֖רֶךְ יָמִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תְּבוּנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 12 With the aged is wisdom; [2]
 
and length of days, [2]
understanding. [1]
13 עִ֭מּוֹ [3] Dechi
חׇכְמָ֣ה וּגְבוּרָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
ל֝֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֵצָ֥ה וּתְבוּנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 “With him [3]
are wisdom and might; [2]
 
his are [2]
counsel and understanding. [1]
14 הֵ֣ן יַ֭הֲרוֹס [3] Dechi
וְלֹ֣א יִבָּנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
יִסְגֹּ֥ר עַל־אִ֝֗ישׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יִפָּתֵֽחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 Behold what he tears down, [3]
it cannot be rebuilt; [2]
 
and what he closes on a person, [2]
it cannot be opened. [1]
15 הֵ֤ן יַעְצֹ֣ר בַּמַּ֣יִם [3] VDechi
וְיִבָ֑שׁוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וִ֝ישַׁלְּחֵ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְיַ֖הַפְכוּ אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 Behold he holds back the waters [3]
and they dry up; [2]
 
or he lets them loose, [2]
and they devastate the earth. [1]
16 עִ֭מּוֹ [3] Dechi
עֹ֣ז וְתוּשִׁיָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
ל֝֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שֹׁגֵ֥ג וּמַשְׁגֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 With him [3]
are strength and sound wisdom; [2]
 
his are [2]
the deceived and the deceiver. [1]
17 מוֹלִ֣יךְ יוֹעֲצִ֣ים [3] VDechi
שׁוֹלָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽשֹׁפְטִ֥ים יְהוֹלֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 17 He leads away counselors [3]
stripped; [2]
 
and judges he makes into fools. [1]
18 מוּסַ֣ר מְלָכִ֣ים [3] VDechi
פִּתֵּ֑חַ [2] Etnachta
 
וַיֶּאְסֹ֥ר אֵ֝ז֗וֹר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּמׇתְנֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 The correction of kings [3]
he loosens; [2]
 
and a loincloth he binds [2]
on their loins. [1]
19 מוֹלִ֣יךְ כֹּהֲנִ֣ים [3] VDechi
שׁוֹלָ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֖תָנִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יְסַלֵּֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 He leads away priests [3]
stripped; [2]
 
and the mighty [2]
he overthrows. [1]
20 מֵסִ֣יר שָׂ֭פָה [3] Dechi
לְנֶאֱמָנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְטַ֖עַם זְקֵנִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִקָּֽח׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 He removes the speech [3]
of those who are trusted; [2]
 
and the discernment of elders [2]
he takes away. [1]
21 שׁוֹפֵ֣ךְ בּ֭וּז [3] Dechi
עַל־נְדִיבִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְזִ֖יחַ אֲפִיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
רִפָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 He pours contempt [3]
on princes; [2]
 
and the belt of the strong [2]
he loosens. [1]
22 מְגַלֶּ֣ה עֲ֭מֻקוֹת [3] Dechi
מִנִּי־חֹ֑שֶׁךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּצֵ֖א לָא֣וֹר [2] VRevMug
צַלְמָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 He uncovers deep things [3]
out of darkness; [2]
 
and he brings to light [2]
deep darkness. [1]
23 מַשְׂגִּ֣יא לַ֭גּוֹיִם [3] Dechi
וַֽיְאַבְּדֵ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
שֹׁטֵ֥חַ לַ֝גּוֹיִ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַיַּנְחֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 He makes nations great, [3]
and he destroys them; [2]
 
he enlarges the nations, [2]
and he leads them away. [1]
24 מֵסִ֗יר [3] Revi'i
לֵ֭ב [3] Dechi
רָאשֵׁ֣י עַם־הָאָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝יַּתְעֵ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּתֹ֣הוּ לֹא־דָֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 24 He takes away [3]
the understanding [3]
of the leaders of the people of the earth; [2]
 
and he makes them wander [2]
in a pathless wasteland. [1]
25 יְמַֽשְׁשׁוּ־חֹ֥שֶׁךְ וְלֹא־א֑וֹר [2] Etnachta
 
וַ֝יַּתְעֵ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּשִּׁכּֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 25 They grope in darkness with no light; [2]
 
and he makes them stagger [2]
like a drunkard. [1]
