1 הֶן־כֹּ֭ל [3] Dechi
רָאֲתָ֣ה עֵינִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
שָֽׁמְעָ֥ה אׇ֝זְנִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַתָּ֥בֶן לָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 1 “Behold all this [3]
my eye has seen; [2]
 
my ear has heard, [2]
and it has understood it. [1]
2 כְּֽ֭דַעְתְּכֶם [3] Dechi
יָדַ֣עְתִּי גַם־אָ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־נֹפֵ֖ל אָנֹכִ֣י [2] VRevMug
מִכֶּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 What you know [3]
I know, I too; [2]
 
I am not fallen [2]
more than you. [1]
3 אוּלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֲ֭נִי [3] Dechi
אֶל־שַׁדַּ֣י אֲדַבֵּ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְהוֹכֵ֖חַ אֶל־אֵ֣ל [2] VRevMug
אֶחְפָּֽץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 3 “But [3]
I, [3]
to the Almighty I would speak; [2]
 
and to argue my case with God, [2]
I desire. [1]
4 וְֽאוּלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אַתֶּ֥ם טֹפְלֵי־שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
רֹפְאֵ֖י אֱלִ֣ל [2] VRevMug
כֻּלְּכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 But [3]
you invent falsehood; [2]
 
worthless physicians [2]
are all of you. [1]
5 מִי־יִ֭תֵּן [3] Dechi
הַחֲרֵ֣שׁ תַּחֲרִישׁ֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
וּתְהִ֖י לָכֶ֣ם [2] VRevMug
לְחׇכְמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 Oh [3]
that you would be totally silent; [2]
 
and it would be for you [2]
wisdom. [1]
6 שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֥א תוֹכַחְתִּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְרִב֖וֹת שְׂפָתַ֣י [2] VRevMug
הַקְשִֽׁיבוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 6 Hear now my argument; [2]
 
and to the pleadings of my lips, [2]
listen. [1]
7 הַ֭לְאֵל [3] Dechi
תְּדַבְּר֣וּ עַוְלָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝ל֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּֽדַבְּר֥וּ רְמִיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 For God [3]
will you speak unjustly; [2]
 
and for him [2]
will you speak deceitfully? [1]
8 הֲפָנָ֥יו תִּשָּׂא֑וּן [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־לָאֵ֥ל תְּרִיבֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 8 Will you show partiality to him? [2]
 
Will you argue the case for God? [1]
9 הֲ֭טוֹב [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־יַחְקֹ֣ר אֶתְכֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־כְּהָתֵ֥ל בֶּ֝אֱנ֗וֹשׁ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּהָתֵ֥לּוּ בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Will it be good [3]
if he searches you out? [2]
 
Or as one deceives a man [2]
can you deceive him? [1]
10 הוֹכֵ֣חַ יוֹכִ֣יחַ [3] VDechi
אֶתְכֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
אִם־בַּ֝סֵּ֗תֶר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
פָּנִ֥ים תִּשָּׂאֽוּן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 He will surely rebuke [3]
you; [2]
 
if in secrecy [2]
you show partiality. [1]
11 הֲלֹ֣א שְׂ֭אֵתוֹ [3] Dechi
תְּבַעֵ֣ת אֶתְכֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝פַחְדּ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִפֹּ֥ל עֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 Will not his majesty [3]
terrify you; [2]
 
and the dread of him [2]
fall on you? [1]
12 זִֽ֭כְרֹנֵיכֶם [3] Dechi
מִשְׁלֵי־אֵ֑פֶר [2] Etnachta
 
לְגַבֵּי־חֹ֝֗מֶר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
גַּבֵּיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 Your maxims [3]
are proverbs of ashes; [2]
 
defenses of clay [2]
are your defenses. [1]
13 הַחֲרִ֣ישׁוּ מִ֭מֶּנִּי [3] Dechi
וַאֲדַבְּרָה־אָ֑נִי [2] Etnachta
 
וְיַעֲבֹ֖ר עָלַ֣י [2] VRevMug
מָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 “Be silent from me [3]
that I, I may speak; [2]
 
then let it come on me [2]
what will. [1]
14 עַל־מָ֤ה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
אֶשָּׂ֣א בְשָׂרִ֣י [3] VDechi
בְשִׁנָּ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נַפְשִׁ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָשִׂ֥ים בְּכַפִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 14 Why [4]
should I take my flesh [3]
in my teeth; [2]
 
and my life [2]
put in my hand? [1]
15 הֵ֣ן יִ֭קְטְלֵנִי [3] Dechi
*לא **ל֣וֹ אֲיַחֵ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
אַךְ־דְּ֝רָכַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֶל־פָּנָ֥יו אוֹכִֽיחַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 Though he slay me [3]
I will trust in him; [2]
 
yet my ways [2]
to his face I will argue. [1]
16 גַּם־הוּא־לִ֥י לִישׁוּעָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
כִּי־לֹ֥א לְ֝פָנָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
חָנֵ֥ף יָבֽוֹא׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 16 This also will be for my deliverance; [2]
 
for not before him [2]
can a godless man come. [1]
17 שִׁמְע֣וּ שָׁ֭מוֹעַ [3] Dechi
מִלָּתִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אַחֲוָתִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּאׇזְנֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 Listen carefully [3]
to my words; [2]
 
and my declaration [2]
be in your ears. [1]
18 הִנֵּה־נָ֭א [3] Dechi
עָרַ֣כְתִּי מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [2] Etnachta
 
יָ֝דַ֗עְתִּי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כִּי־אֲנִ֥י אֶצְדָּֽק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 Behold now [3]
I have prepared (my) case; [2]
 
I know [2]
that I shall be in the right. [1]
19 מִי־ה֭וּא [3] Dechi
יָרִ֣יב עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־עַתָּ֖ה אַחֲרִ֣ישׁ [2] VRevMug
וְאֶגְוָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 Who is it that [3]
will contend with me? [2]
 
For if I keep silent [2]
I will die. [1]
20 אַךְ־שְׁ֭תַּיִם [3] Dechi
אַל־תַּ֣עַשׂ עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
אָ֥ז מִ֝פָּנֶ֗יךָ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א אֶסָּתֵֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 “Only two things [3]
do not do to me; [2]
 
then from your face [2]
I will not hide myself - [1]
21 כַּ֭פְּךָ [3] Dechi
מֵעָלַ֣י הַרְחַ֑ק [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֵ֥מָתְךָ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אַֽל־תְּבַעֲתַֽנִּי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 Your hand, [3]
withdraw far from me; [2]
 
and dread of you, [2]
don’t let it terrify me. [1]
22 וּ֭קְרָא [3] Dechi
וְאָנֹכִ֣י אֶעֱנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
אֽוֹ־אֲ֝דַבֵּ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וַהֲשִׁיבֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 Then call, [3]
and I, I will answer; [2]
 
or let me speak, [2]
and (you) respond to me. [1]
23 כַּמָּ֣ה לִ֭י [3] Dechi
עֲוֺנ֣וֹת וְחַטָּא֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
פִּֽשְׁעִ֥י וְ֝חַטָּאתִ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הֹדִיעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 How many to me [3]
are iniquities and sins? [2]
 
My transgression and my sin, [2]
make known to me. [1]
24 לָֽמָּה־פָנֶ֥יךָ תַסְתִּ֑יר [2] Etnachta
 
וְתַחְשְׁבֵ֖נִי לְאוֹיֵ֣ב [2] VRevMug
לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 24 Why do you hide your face; [2]
 
and consider me an enemy [2]
to you? [1]
25 הֶעָלֶ֣ה נִדָּ֣ף [3] VDechi
תַּעֲר֑וֹץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־קַ֖שׁ יָבֵ֣שׁ [2] VRevMug
תִּרְדֹּֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 A windblown leaf [3]
will you frighten; [2]
 
or dry chaff [2]
will you pursue? [1]
26 כִּֽי־תִכְתֹּ֣ב עָלַ֣י [3] VDechi
מְרֹר֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תוֹרִישֵׁ֗נִי [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֲוֺנ֥וֹת נְעוּרָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 26 For you write against me [3]
bitter things; [2]
 
and you make me inherit [2]
the iniquities of my youth. [1]
27 וְתָ֘שֵׂ֤ם בַּסַּ֨ד ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
רַגְלַ֗י [3] Revi'i
וְתִשְׁמ֥וֹר כׇּל־אׇרְחוֹתָ֑י [2] Etnachta
 
עַל־שׇׁרְשֵׁ֥י רַ֝גְלַ֗י [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּתְחַקֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 27 And you put in the stocks [4]
my feet, [3]
and you watch all my paths; [2]
 
on the soles of my feet [2]
you make a mark, [1]
28 וְ֭הוּא [3] Dechi
כְּרָקָ֣ב יִבְלֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
כְּ֝בֶ֗גֶד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אֲכָ֣לוֹ עָֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 and he, [3]
he wastes away like something rotten; [2]
 
like a garment [2]
that is moth-eaten. [1]
